In a way, he's an alchemist. Turning notes into "gold" which well damn sure can heal. Hands up if you ever felt much better just listening to his music (well, music in general is the queen of all type of arts for me). There you go.

😱 In a old guitar magazine Steve Vai had 7 lessons.... The 7th lesson was to play what an ice cube sliding down your back sounds like...... Holding fire in your hand feels like.... etc. These ideas are epic as they allow the player and listener to truly feel what your hearing. This here is future of music. Thanx Brain and natternet. for sharing. Wild Stallions Rule!!!!

This is so rad i love it. I play bass mostly but have a couple extended range guitars and stuff. For trying to do alchemy with music, i imagine a guitar with repeating courses of strings so like E A D E A D. You could hold out one note then hit one just below/above it to get more dissonance, or let some other note ring out. Just spit balling. I also like the idea of playing with notes from different scale lengths and string gauges. Idk I'd like to dive into this myself

In Star Trek they had a transmuter wand, or the two aliens in the Catspaw episode had it. They could use it to create things from the thoughts of their minds and then Kirk broke it and the aliens died causing their illusions to vanish! Where the aliens failed, even though they hijacked the subconscious thoughts of the crew and turned them in to "reality", was in the fact that the episode lasted some forty + minutes and they had to finish the story in that time! The lesson of this episode of witches, sci-fi and alchemy, was that, "an illusion, even a convincing one is not reality." Alas, in this real life, there is no episode time limit to take us away from any danger we may be in at the moment and no real transmuter wand to create things out of thin air, thus one must use his or her own imagination to create things like art, music, writing etc. and it is good to be mindful then and realize that some people have tried already, back in the ancient times, to create their "transmuter wand" and failing always! They may have left a different account of their failings, but that is to be expected! Thus knowing this, it is not wise to follow their failing strategy, or let them, or their influence hijack one's own creativity under its yoke! It is best to use pure imagination in all things creative and like Herbie, wait for the meatloaf to cook in the oven - sometimes the wait could be even better than the actual meatloaf! Woo!!

Idk so far im geeking out with what they're teasing out here. Love the cooperation and exploration. Both seem like cool dudes. "We could try?" Lol

Alchemy is simple chemistry but what is not understood is replaced with magic. So it's ultimately primitive/archaic but holds a supernatural aesthetic. I think it's that wondrous aesthetic that people are attracted to. Nobody writes songs about the industrial production of acetic acid.

It's like Astrology in that sense, it was an archaic proto-science view of things with some interesting philosophical ideas thrown in.
