    If you're wondering why you're seeing this video premiering twice: the first attempt at this video I somehow missed the fact that it only rendered halfway due to a drive being full. So this is the actual full version, as is correct and proper.
    Sorry again for the whoopsie! 😅

    If I may, the 3-stage weapon controller setup is great for if you want your cwis to contribute to your vehicle’s overall dps output but I think there’s an important thing to consider when using a belt-fed system like you did here. if your cwis is wasting a ton of ammo on dealing damage, your vehicle could be left vulnerable when the cwis inevitably has to reload, allowing projectiles that might otherwise be defeated through your defenses. If you want a cwis to serve as a damage dealer, I’d highly recommend going with regular autoloaders so they never run out of ammo, providing your vehicle with a consistent layer of protection, especially if aps is your only form of active defense. Also, i think it’s pointless to have your cwis be a damage dealer if you choose to use a munition defense shell loadout, especially given the recent nerfs of those warheads’ damage to vehicles. If you insist on using belt-fed loaders, definitely add other active systems to help cover the gaps in your defense when cwis reload or use a different shell loadout so your ciws is actually providing a worthwhile amount of damage when engaging the enemy vehicle. You could also further tune the weapon controllers to make more efficient use of the limited magazine size 💯

      Good points! I should probably swap them out to pure kinetics with regular loaders. 👍

    When making shells I make a spreadsheet with the RoF, flak dmg, DPS and AoE. I don't rate velocity on CIWS very highly and usually put in very little gunpowder and a little rail draw for more boom.

    I'm getting into thw habit of embesding ammo controllers into my aps turrets for shells. Extra useful when you have mixed shell loadout.

    Yes! Just in time as I began refitting all of my fleet after two year brake from the game!
    Also, after playing for 400h+, I had no idea that you could use weapon controller AND a CIWS at the same time! Now all of my ships get a huge buff! 😮😅

      Great to hear! CIWS + LWC was a gamechanger for me, too! :D

    Barbettes are cool. I make mine stronger than the main hull armor since my designs have narrow necks (5x5 at most, that is with armor).

    48:00 Would putting wood on the very bottom of the ship make it more buoyant? I mean obviously the ship will want to float up and maybe roll over but I assume that would be compensated for.

    • @BorderWise12
      @BorderWise12  Месяц назад

      Yes, it would! If the ship has adequate roll control that can counter it, yes.

    Does having 2 ammo input things per loader-magazine reduce the downtime of beltfeds?

    Do finish this series just got done with binch watching the older series for a second time! and trying to use everything ive learned in my build!
    Also how important is deck armor?

      Cheers! Glad to hear it!
      Deck armor is something you shouldn't overdo or underdo. I find two layers plus an airgap or airgap filler generally does the trick, unless you anticipate the craft being shot from above a lot.

    No hate, I like your videos but this is annoying why can't you just post the video when it's ready, why make premier for every video. It's especially annoying when you wait for the premier and when the time comes and you check for the video it is not there. If you failed to upload first time why would you do premier again?

    • @BorderWise12
      @BorderWise12  2 месяца назад +6

      1. I enjoy Premieres, they're fun. I get to see people react in real time and chat with people.
      2. I'm also annoyed, I didn't mess up on purpose. I've already apologized, not sure what else you expect from me.
      3. It's Premiering again so that the other half of the video can be seen all Premiere-like. You don't have to attend if you don't want to, no one's forcing you. 🤷‍♂️
