SEA was my favorite GD RUclipsr, I feel since he left there has been a SEA shaped hole in the community. Some people have gotten to a level similar to how good he was like you for example. But it doesn't feel the same as SEA did

I think the main problem is with the new news channels in geometry dash like Hus News and Community Report. They’re just not the same as G-News. Blue made a community post a few weeks ago asking his fans if he should continue g news where sea left off, which got tons of votes saying he should, so maybe it will come back soon with a new owner. It’s been multiple weeks though, so 8km beggining to doubt it

I honestly feel like the community died a little bit more when sea left. Everything has been much less hype since he left. It’s the same for Riot too.

Nacho21 was really bad to see him leave.
He literally uploaded a level called "last universe" that had a really depressing message above the editor, saying that the community is the only thing that the game has, cuz yknow the developer is taking 3+ years but he also says that the community, having little connection with the dev, absolutely lost control.
It lost control over gameplay, having levels absolutely hard that only a few people can beat.
It lost control over deco, having overdecorated levels that are unplayable in some mobile or even pc.
He says its absolutely frustrating to play the game and create even and he complained about the players watching videos of the completions more than playing the levels.
Levels are made to be played and not to be seen.

hotball is never coming back according to his twitter. "leaving this community is the best decision i have ever made". Aside with that, his ego is way out of bounds. In his last gd video, which was his completion of erebus, he literally said at the end, and i quote: “Dude, im too good at this game." So personally im kinda glad he is gone but thats me

I like at the end how you said that "if you choose to quit gd, you'll probably come back one day" I literally quit the game 3 times (1.9, early 2.0 and early 2.1) yet I keep coming back for some reason, maybe nostalgia or the creating aspect of the game

Really nice video, I knew about most of these but it was nice to reminisce on the old times. I feel like DonutCopper could’ve also been mentioned; he may not have had a huge influence, but unlike 3xotiC, he’s the only person who we actually know for sure that they died. His story is a sad one, but an interesting one.

It’s kind of scary to go away like that. Having a community of fans, along with haters and people who just know you exist, then making one last tweet, saying you are about to die, then people hack your account, and use you as a clout chase.

I am mod on hotballs RUclips and twitch channels and I have to say he changed so much once he got 144hz. He got more egotistical and was a completely different person. He stated he’d never come back to gd and it was the best decision he ever made that he left. I really miss the guy though. We even made a level together
I was a mod on his twitch and would talk to him through his twitch chat a lot in his early fortnite era when he had about 6 viewers per stream and was real active in his discord and stuff but I never really got to experience his ego being that big
But also I def believe he did get a big ego because he was quite young and got super popular off the cizzors deathruns super quick
Around the time hotball quit it felt like everybody was quitting and the gd community had pretty much come to a stop, that’s around when I kinda went off the game (came back around start of 2022) but people like Dorami and tons of other big RUclipsrs were making videos saying they were quitting and shit I guess they just immediately came back idk

I still miss SEA. I came into this community in Febuary 2018 (just after Bloodlust was verified) and he taught me so much about the GD comunity and its past. Thanks to him I learned about Riot, Cyclic, Sohn0924, The Silent series and so much more.

I was a mod for hotball, He hearted almost all of my comments, He’s on my Fortnite friends list, and I even played with him and Im in one of his videos. I don’t know what happened to him but he was really cool. I was there when he first picked up asteria. I hope the best for him
