It would mean the world to me if you could take the time to watch the entire video. Funnygame, if you're reading this please also read all other comments on the video. :) Thank you all for taking time out of your day to watch my videos. 💖
This video is great!! Best video essay of gd in over a year specifically because it explains things in a way that a non GD player could understand, however the title makes it narrow so that only people in the gd community will see this, so i have a wishful request that the title for this video, or videos in the future are more open and mysterious, like ‘how one person changed how plataformers are seen’ or something with the general gist, Im sure you could come up with a much better title as an experienced youtuber. Overall 9.5/10 your best video imo :) @Samifying btw
Sami yo PLEASE make more stuff like this. It's so well edited, scripted, just well made in general. This one in particular is such a great idea because it isn't something I've really thought about a whole lot.
We actually do know why death moon was released on an alt! It was because it used an object limit bypass, which was incredibly risky at the time, and funnygame didn’t want to risk his main account getting banned.
The OG FunnyGame has always been the biggest inspiration for me and i would have never been gd creator without him, truly one of the best creator of all time.
I... never knew funny game. But in the space of 16 minutes my respect and sadness for him have become immense. Your videos are a work of art. Thank you for this
Wow sami, just wow.... You never stop to amaze me with the quality of your videos. This was so incredibly well put together. I hope Funnygame realizes the massively positive impact he have on the community even after all these years!
Going to be honest here: I've never played Geometry Dash. Not even on a borrowed friend's phone. In fact, I didn't even know there *was* a level creator. I have no idea how this video came to me besides being bestowed by The Algorithm, but it took my breath away. The story led me gently and comfortably through FunnyGame's legacy, like reading love letters from a bygone era, and got me to care for the wellbeing of someone I've never even gotten close to meeting before. But what left the biggest impact on me was the sincerity. In your voice and the voice of all you interviewed there's this profound bittersweetness, as if you we all gathered around a card game telling stories of a long-lost friend, which you basically were. You can tell what an impact this person has left not just on a community, but on each individual as well. Amazing video to celebrate an amazing person.

Thanks Sami for this video, the quality of your content is impeccable. You peaked my interest without me even knowing FG, glad this was recommended to me.

i'm so glad that the community was able to reach out to funnygame for the GD10 video. It might have just been a simple message voiced by someone else, but that just says that he hasn't completely given up on the game yet.

Man this was so nostalgic. I remember playing his 1.9 and 2.0 levels when they came out and you describe the impact they had on the community and the 'feeling' one got from playing them perfectly. Good times
This was great. I’ve never played GD, so this is a fascinating look at what really great game design looks like in this context, as well as hearing about a creator who elevated these levels to an art form. Thank you, and respect.

I never played this game. I have never heard of this guy "funny game". But somehow your storytelling kept me and watched all the video! Great job as well!
I've only played some original levels and never never knew that there was a community like this for this game and I've heard all that the first time but i still teared up in the end. I hope Funny Games does well
Yeah, this is an incredible game, and FunnyGame was an incredible creator. I HIGHLY recommend checking this game out on steam, its only 5$ and its soooo gooood!
When I started playing GD I was entering in middle school/high school. I didn’t know you could created levels, I didn’t know this community was that strong and add a legend. Interesting video and great stories, I like the way you split this video in chapters and I love the compilation of message to Funnygame. Good video funny that I found it by coincidence but defo worth it 👍🏽
FunnyGame will always be my favorite creator. When I just started playing the game, I always visit his account and play some of his levels. I remember playing Lonely Travel and Abyss back then and I'm so impressed. And I can't believe that he's the one who created Death Moon. Truly a legend.
I stopped playing this game about two years after release, but this video was well worth it. I had no clue about the drastic changes of the game. Very good job storytelling!
I lost motivation to still play this game because the 2.2 update never came, but i remember as a 11 year old sitting on my tablet after school playing FunnyGame's levels
Don't play GD, but it's rare to hear anyone praise and appreciate someone from the depths of their hearts. FunnyGame must be really special and I wish the best for him.
Watched this from Atrioc's stream, I didn't even know about this video somehow! Just one thing, I thought Death Moon was put on the "Caustic" account because FunnyGame was scared of getting banned for going over the object limit? Either way really cool video that introduces the concepts of GD in a very clear, concise and cohesive manner. Cool to see it reach more mainstream audiences
Funny, I think I saw this like the day before Atrioc watched it on stream. Last place I would've expected to see anything GD related, esp given how old that guy is lmao
When I first played Death Moon, I kept on dying because of my lack of skill, but I was in awe on the creativity of FunnyGame. I stopped playing Geometry Dash because of lack of interest, but I never forgot the Legendary Geometry Dash Creator called FunnyGame. They will always be remembered as The Greatest Geometry Dash Level Creator in our hearts.
FunnyGame was one of my top favorite creators years ago. I remember being in awe in how unique and fun they were back then. My favorites of his were Death Moon, Sirius, and Lonely Travel. This was a very well made video. Legit got chills from it Lol. Really do miss FunnyGame's work, and hopefully he'd say hi when 2.2 comes out. :D
Thanks dude, it's cool that, as a new player, people like you not only take time for the ones who shine rn like Zoink... to talk about the ones that, in any other case, would have belonged to the past since the new gen wouldn't have heard of them
This video was one of the best "Tell a story" like videos for me in a long time. As a person who only looked a the game like it's totally overhyped by its community, I really got caught in your video from the first minute. Great story, "interrupted" by funny jokes and stunning visuals. I can tell you put a lot of heart and sweat into the video. The way you told the story was very catching, I couldn't click off of the video and the musical atmosphere was untouchable. And the ending even made me cry a little bit - I could sense how much this creator meant to you and the community in generall. I'm glad that this video was recommended to me.
About Death Moon : Back then, this level exceeded the object limit and there were cases where levels would get deleted and players get banned for it and so Funnygame just uploaded it on an emergency account - Caustic Great video
Yo I never played Geometry Dash on that level and never heared of FunnyGame before but at the end of this video I had goosebumps and almost tears in my eyes. Insane video and a even better story!
1:54 this montage really made me smile. I have been in and out of this community since mid 2.0 more than 6 years ago and its amazing to see how far this game has come over the years.
I don’t even watch gd videos but got recommended this and don’t regret clicking. I like your style with the editing and story telling, keep it up. I never had even heard about FunnyGame before this, I used to play back in the old days of the game but was too young to understand or notice creators such as him, wish I did tho. Seems like a legend.
Played Geometry Dash before and from time to time, I do still come back to it. I never realized the community was so big. Thank you for sharing this video!
I'm suuuuuuper criminally late but as a player from September 2013, basically, one of the first players to have ever touch the game... it's insane seeing how much as evolved since the "year of the Impossible Game knockoff" to the "golden age" of the game to now. As a player (and noob creator) who has played since 1.0, this vid was a huge wave of nostalgia. Love the time and effort that you put on this Sami. (:
I keep coming back to this video just to see that level montage again at 1:53, i think ive seen it atleast 20 times now. ITS TOO GOOD also, i like the fact that there are 3 LEVELS made by Xender in that montage, his levels are absolutely gorgeous
This was full of respect, care, and the best of humanity. I don't know anything about this game (apart from playing it a few times and from what I've learned here), but this video made my day way better. So glad there are kind hearts and humans in every place, country, religion, and community, as in the community of gamers. Best wishes! And keep it going! You have some talent for this!
This video has given me a lot of nostalgia. Back in the day I remember I used to play with my friends all together, we used to do challenges like “who can beat this level faster” and we used to play FunnyGame’s levels because they were amazing, I remember when Lonely Travel came out I really wanted to beat it but I wasn’t good enough. Now that all this time is gone I really feel emotional not just because FunnyGame is “gone” but because I’m the only one left of my friends still playing this awesome game and beating Lonely Travel about 1 year ago… such an amazing journey that I will never forget, FunnyGame will be in my heart forever as my inspiration and motivation! *Proceeds to cry*
I’ve never been into Geometry Dash that much, nor many stories behind it honestly, but I can feel a glimpse of how much FunnyGame must have meant to many members of this community. One single user forever changing millions of others to push themselves, skyrocketing motivation, a true blessing.
I never knew about this, even tho i played lots of geometry when i was a kid. I could easily be cause i was too young to realize that bigger things were happening, and that it wasnt just a game. Even tho i never knew about FunnyGame, i weirdly still yearn just to see one of his levels appear again. Just one and i think that would inspire hundreds more to keep on going. Thank you Funny
I dont think people give the new funnygame enough credit. The fact that he still holds an extremely high standard like he does is incredible and it shows that the original funnygame is also a great teacher Banger video Sami and congrats on the 2 million views
Ok video review time: I've never played the game if not casually when it first came out, like many people did. This video is very well made, the voice is clear and easly understandable by people with average english knowledge. The topic is interesting and the message is clear and well set, the emotions behind it were well conveyed overall, I too now kind of miss them. The editing is good, surely above average for the size of your channel, clear, edited enough to support conveying the message, not over the top. Some criticisms: I feel like the pause between chapters is a little too long and empty, I know you wanted to put a pause between chapters but it was just a little bit too much, maybe doing half to 3/4 of that would be better. I don't actually know it this would've been possible but I think having 2 to 3 seconds showcasing the levels with the level's music or some energy giving musing. Overall good video, even as a non geometry dash gamer i really liked it. Hope this is somewhat helpful
It's always so endearing watching someone talk about something they're passionate about. It might be about the most random thing but when you're passionate about it, it gets through the screen. I played GD many years ago when I was still in high school and it was probably the first rhythm game that I ever played. Now I don't play it anymore but it's amazing how far both the community and the game itself have gone. I will give FunnyGame's levels a try later, don't know if I will even get to 10% but I'll try!
i enjoyed the entire video, even the smallest details you put in this video made me realize how important funnygame was for the game and now i want funnygame to return
I'm honestly suprised to see this, its nice to look back at the past at someone who changed an entire game, and the way that this video is written is great. Haven't really seen much from Sami until now.
Even though I played geometry dash at the time it came out I really never was that dedicated to this game. Never new that you can make custom levels or ever heard about its creators. I don't even know why your video was recommended to me, but I am glad it was. Trough out watching your video I could feel the emotions u felt... it was incredible! I felt like a little child waiting for its favorite TV show and growing up with it until its last day on TV.. even though I didn't know FunnyGame, i now feel like I would have known him for years.. great video and I hope FunnyGame will see it and maybe come back as a creator and more!
As a person who played since 1.7 and quit during early 2.1 it feels so great to watch these videos just to look back at all the amazing eras this game went through. This game truly holds a great history and I'm glad that people like you immortalize it with these videos. Keep up the great work
I never heard of this guy. Heck, I never even played this game. But your story-telling glued me to the screen and now I want to give this game a try. Subscribed!
I never played Geometry Dash or ever tought about playing it. I have never heard about Funnygame either. But this video really touched my heart, and I also felt sad with everyone who misses him. Great Video
that's some really quality content bro! such creators like funnygame, triaxis, dima vikulov and etzer gave me the motivation to explore the editor back in 2015
I haven't played GD in years but this video somehow got into my reccomended. I didn't know Funnygame left, that's unfortunate, I hope he's doing well. I loved his levels.
Damn i didn't even know this community existed, the only level ive finished is the first one and it took me maybe hundred of attempts... This is amazing i would've love it if i was born much earlier and get to experience the excitement of Funnygame releasing new levels and shit, amazing work.
In my account, "CrystalRaider" My very first account comment was "FunnyGame is Awesome!" And that was 5 years ago... I have appreciated his works way back then and it's really true that he stood way above most level creators. His levels inspired me to keep playing gd, because he showed how much passion he has in level creating, as well as showing that gd has lots of further potential in those days, showing how great works of art could emerge with very talented people like him. I'm rooting for you FunnyGame, always be healthy and for whatever lies ahead, we will be here to support you. Thank you for making our Geometry Dash histories awesome! Always gonna be one of your biggest fans 💯😁
After quitting this game back in like 2014 or 2015, I like this video and it helps me remember the ol’ good times. I can’t believe this guy has 40k subscribers like this guy made one of the best narrative video I’ve seen. Never stop creating content my dude
as someone who wasn't really ever a part of the community, i never paid attention to who made what, but now that i'm seeing that funnygame made stuff such as death moon (which was my favourite level for like eternity), makes me realize how much of an impact he made on the community, and even the game. i can now see what amazing stuff he has made, and i thank him for his amazing time with GD, his amazing levels, his huge impact, and wherever he is, i hope he is living a good life, happy with the decisions he's made :)
i have barely watched any GD stuff as of late and i used to watch a LOT a couple of months back. this video was not only extremely and utterly entertaining, but it allowed me to get a better understanding of how some of the greatest levels today were made and who was the inspiration behind all of them. thank you for making such an amazing video! i hope you make more like these in the future :)
I regret nothing after clicking on this video. This might be one of the best Geometry Dash documentaries I've ever watched. The nostalgia, especially that one part where you talked about how much the game has changed for the past few years literally gave me goosebumps. Seeing FunnyGame's name in the spotlight after his long inactivity made me realize that without him, I would've stopped playing Geometry Dash a long time ago. I would love to see more from you like this in the future
Imagine if Funnygame was just a test account from Robtop, just to improve his abilities and have fun, hope if not this guy is actually well. Great video Sam ❤
I haven't been paying attention to GD for like almost 2 years now, but goddamn, this really makes me want to return. Unfortunately, I only joined GD in around 2015/16, so I don't know his oldest works, but I remember always hearing about this guy. It's really interesting to find out more about the older community, thanks for makin this video!
It makes me so happy to see this blow up, the amount of comments from people saying they've bought the game or started playing again is mind-blowing. You deserve all the praise you're getting.
Man I love a story love this, it hits different remember 1.9 very late and first man I followed, was funnygame. It was someone that pushed me to click on his profile cause of how amazing his work was. But his story just made sense, he was there for so long, it couldn't last forever... I love these types of stories and I kinda really wish I can hear stuff similar like this to other old creators I loved like Zobros or Etzer or Weoweoteo
I find it incredibly fun that you sympathized with funnygame over the pressure of being such an influential creative in the community. And now you’ve started this absolutely crazy streak of amazing videos following this one. It’s amazing how much someone like me, who never cared much for the GD game in general became completely invested in the way you tell these stories. I don’t know if you know summoning salt. But I feel like you guys might be tapping into some sort of spiritual secrets or something. Wonderful videos man. Keep on keeping on✌️
I’m glad you’re mentioning Funnygame. His levels are so iconic like Death Moon and Sirius. Not only that, but his levels also have very good gameplay, especially his ones in map packs.
It would mean the world to me if you could take the time to watch the entire video.
Funnygame, if you're reading this please also read all other comments on the video. :)
Thank you all for taking time out of your day to watch my videos. 💖

Interesting video and great stories, I like the way you split this video in chapters and I love the compilation of message to Funnygame. Good video funny that I found it by coincidence but defo worth it 👍🏽
I quit 4 years ago, But his levels are still on my memories. Bringing a pure nostalgia and tears

@xander you dont get banned from going over the object limit its normal because look how many creators use it
@@kaiakk727k I mean this was like early 2.0 (or 1.9 I forgot) so it's not surprising if FunnyGame thought he would get banned.
@@Neuronecia oh
Stop watching react streamers that steal content
When I first played Death Moon, I kept on dying because of my lack of skill, but I was in awe on the creativity of FunnyGame. I stopped playing Geometry Dash because of lack of interest, but I never forgot the Legendary Geometry Dash Creator called FunnyGame. They will always be remembered as The Greatest Geometry Dash Level Creator in our hearts.
Death Moon is so fun to play!
Thanks dude, it's cool that, as a new player, people like you not only take time for the ones who shine rn like Zoink... to talk about the ones that, in any other case, would have belonged to the past since the new gen wouldn't have heard of them
Wow this video is fantastic! Such an unique and captivating take on the GD commentary genre, please make more :)
Hi hjfod

This video was one of the best "Tell a story" like videos for me in a long time. As a person who only looked a the game like it's totally overhyped by its community, I really got caught in your video from the first minute.
Great story, "interrupted" by funny jokes and stunning visuals. I can tell you put a lot of heart and sweat into the video. The way you told the story was very catching, I couldn't click off of the video and the musical atmosphere was untouchable.
And the ending even made me cry a little bit - I could sense how much this creator meant to you and the community in generall.
I'm glad that this video was recommended to me.
I never realised how some of my favourite levels were made by him, but now I realise what a legend he was, thanks FunnyGame.
Good news Sammy, you're popping up in alot of people's recommended. This just the beginning for ya, can't wait to see you grow to new heights ;)
About Death Moon : Back then, this level exceeded the object limit and there were cases where levels would get deleted and players get banned for it and so Funnygame just uploaded it on an emergency account - Caustic
Great video
Yo I never played Geometry Dash on that level and never heared of FunnyGame before but at the end of this video I had goosebumps and almost tears in my eyes. Insane video and a even better story!
Yea same
The way Samifying narrates is so good, he got this chill voice, and just as really comforts me in way I really want to be comforted. Keep it up

funnygame was featured in the 10 year anniversary video :)
This was a FANTASTIC video! And I didn't know there was this much mystery around Funnygame
Hey , OmegaFalcon 😆
I keep coming back to this video just to see that level montage again at 1:53, i think ive seen it atleast 20 times now. ITS TOO GOOD
also, i like the fact that there are 3 LEVELS made by Xender in that montage, his levels are absolutely gorgeous
Not to me and my friends 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 lolololloooo lamo lmao lmao lmao

Amazingly well done video. Out of all GD commentary videos that could blow up out of nowhere, this is the most deserved.
I’ve never been into Geometry Dash that much, nor many stories behind it honestly, but I can feel a glimpse of how much FunnyGame must have meant to many members of this community. One single user forever changing millions of others to push themselves, skyrocketing motivation, a true blessing.
Funnygame came back! He announced it in one of his levels
It can't be undermined how massive of an event Death Moon's release was. To this day that level is in a league of it's own.
I couldn't imagine touching someone's life the way he did yours. The thank you at the end is so felt. You really appreciate him and it's endearing.
I dont think people give the new funnygame enough credit. The fact that he still holds an extremely high standard like he does is incredible and it shows that the original funnygame is also a great teacher
Banger video Sami and congrats on the 2 million views
This is legendary. The music, the editing the colors. You've got some real talent. Keep it up!
Phenomenal
Yep...
THANK YOUUUU
Ok video review time:
I've never played the game if not casually when it first came out, like many people did.
Some criticisms:
I feel like the pause between chapters is a little too long and empty, I know you wanted to put a pause between chapters but it was just a little bit too much, maybe doing half to 3/4 of that would be better.
I had no idea geometry dash was such a loved game, I didn't even know there was a create mode...
My mind is blown, thank you for this beautiful video❤
This video is one of the best if it's not the video that I've seen about GD, the storytelling and the editing are amazing. Keep it up man :)
i enjoyed the entire video, even the smallest details you put in
this video made me realize how important funnygame was for the game and now i want funnygame to return
Hope he will return someday

RUclips recommendations are popping off omg, underrated creators like you deserve more recognition
Amazing work Sami. I look forward to your future work.
Damn i didn't even know this community existed, the only level ive finished is the first one and it took me maybe hundred of attempts... This is amazing i would've love it if i was born much earlier and get to experience the excitement of Funnygame releasing new levels and shit, amazing work.
Bro same
Dam didn't know this game exist though but I was born in 2005
In my account, "CrystalRaider"
My very first account comment was
"FunnyGame is Awesome!"
And that was 5 years ago...
Your content is amazing and underrated, still love it!
i have barely watched any GD stuff as of late and i used to watch a LOT a couple of months back. this video was not only extremely and utterly entertaining, but it allowed me to get a better understanding of how some of the greatest levels today were made and who was the inspiration behind all of them. thank you for making such an amazing video! i hope you make more like these in the future :)
this is one of the best recommended videos i've ever seen so far! ♥
Imagine if it actually was. Damn that would actually blow my mind.

U make me cry... Its nice to see a fandom helping and supporting each other.
I’m not a geometry dash fan although I played in bare minimum but this video really touched me. Awesome storytelling dude! Hope to see more from you!!
You sir, are very underrated!! Your story telling and editing really show how much you care about this entire operation! Keep up the S tier work!
It makes me so happy to see this blow up, the amount of comments from people saying they've bought the game or started playing again is mind-blowing. You deserve all the praise you're getting.
This video is really good, I was never playing during the funny game era so I learned a lot from this!
I always think that funnygame is geometry dash developer team or someone working for geometry dash. Very nice video tho, you're so underrated!!
This video truly proves funnygame's impact on the game, and it really can show a lot about gd's history.
Your editing and humor is incredibly underrated. Your gonna get huge someday. Keep up the good work.
