When it hits at 2:03, it really feels like that would fit for a moment where something that you think is bad is revealed to actually be much, *much* worse.
Or for example, when you are in the space ship, you are going into a black hole or smth like that, by reaching your destination you will be able to see all wonders of the universe
No, what you described is at 0:48. At 2:03 is when you manage to overcome absolutely insurmountable odds, and come out victorious. This just sounds downright triumphant.
I got super high and watched this movie again (first two viewings were in passing on TV and the science didn't make much sense to me) but then it all started to click. I gained a completely new understanding of time, entropy and existence itself which sparked a deep interest in these subjects where I would spend hours researching the true nature of the universe that schools don't quite get right. I found myself looking right at the source of spirituality the knowledge of the universe hides within itself. It's majestically beautiful, yet terrifyingly incomprehensible. This film quite literally changed my life.
@@yume5338 I've never been high in my life, this movie changed my life sober haha. My understanding of God, specifically how I understand He literally exists like you and me and how He affects our world, became clearer upon watching this movie several times. I know it sounds strange at first, but why couldn't God simply be a human being of higher dimensions, capable of influencing our world and lives from outside of time and space? Perhaps us joining Him in Heaven in simply us being bestowed the ability to exist in these higher dimensions. It all makes sense to me, I struggle to think of reality in any other way.

In some ways those old black and white images are more spectacular than the modern ones. Imagine stepping out into the void for the first time, all of humanity’s struggles and progress leading up to this one moment - a flash of data streaming back from the cosmos bearing our first glimpse into a future of discovery. Other species on this planet have no conception self and here we are clawing our way into the abyss.
Great job with capturing the atmosphere as well as the tense and thrilling pace. And you did a brilliant job with the instruments and overall mixing. It sounds awesome and the hard work is very apparent.
This song is the definition of audible tension, it has a palpable sense of urgency and danger in the first half and has a magnificent hopeful undertone in the second part while never really losing that sense of danger. Actually perfect for a film about space.

the sheer size of the objects that are constantly moving through space right now, right around us, is the most impressive depiction of "size" that ever was there, and will be there for all past, and all future times. The meaninglessness of the human compared to this, cannot be expressed in words.
When the climax comes at 2:40 , the original theme comes with those loud string notes. Most of them are longer or repeated, but some are very short or played with a different feel. I think that could have been an amazing feature to be kept. Excellent finale, removing the oddly progression on the original which was just serving the events of the movie But NASA footage from Voyager 1,2, Cassini and Juno.. what else can we say? This became an instant eternal favourite for me
