I’m in a production of this right now, and our Frederick changed the line to “ and they knew a lot of choreography”....we aren’t terribly great at dancing.
I'm sure the Frankensteins were all lovely people, but because ONE nutbag had to play God, they're all tainted with the imagery of the mad scientist. Makes me think of all the painfully mortified pre-20th-century Hitlers in Heaven. "Say, didn't your grandson-?" "YES, okay?? Get off my back about it!!"
@@zotharr mini expert fan on young frankenstein - the run time was something crazy like 3+ hours on broadway, so they cut a bunch of dialogue and 3 numbers (the starting number from broadway was totally un-needed and just made people wait to see hadley, which should be a crime haha). i think they made it up with "hang him till' hes dead" and "it could work" - both brilliant songs which i enjoyed as much as this. choreography was amazing too, but that's classic stro obv.
I love the line that comes immediately after this scene: “...Oh God, Inga, they were all evil, mad scientists! ...but boy, could they dance!”

This is great!! I love how at the end he has a wig. And I love how all his ancestors are Like get your shit together and terrify the village.
dude there arent enough like buttons to express how much i love this!!!
I saw Roger Bart in the national tour a few years ago. The show was a blast, and this number was definitely one of the highlights.
Roger Bart should have been Leo Blum in the Producers film
"Zen, I vill say... Goodnight."
"GOODNIGHT! ... Frau Blucher."
*horses neigh*
Can't escape that!
I love this song so much, I saw this about a year ago and only just remembered it, oh how much I love the chaos happening all at once!
"I could run out for a caramel soy macchiato"
LOVE
The wig at the end really made it for me lolol.

Do you have Puttin On The Ritz?
That was fun. Who staged this show? I liked it.
Susan Stoman directed & choreographed :)
Tooo bad they left this out from the West End production, this song is one of my fav, even though I saw the musical without it...
Also, imo, its a very important scene storywise...
Was this in 2017 you are talking about? I think what they did was streamline the show a bit. They cut some stuff and added a new song or two.
