I’m 4’11 as well and what I’ve learned over the years is shopping in the kids section is nothing to be ashamed of. Not only do they fit well but they are also great for the wallet. Zara kids has great styles that are still trendy yet not kiddish. I’ve found cute jackets, high waisted jeans, baggy pants and cute tops for way cheaper than the adult version.
@Debbie K I agree with Debbie. People tell me to get kids clothes when I was 17 (I looked like I was 12) and kids clothes don't make room for the hips/thighs, so that doesn't work for me. It depends on your body shape :/ if kids clothes works for some of petite ladies, great! But still not enough options for petites
I looove the tipps! I’m around 5’1” and omg I did so much wrong and now I know why I avoided to wear outfits like this... because I always felt even shorter😂
I love your videos! I am a shorty, 4’11” and I appreciate your advice! I am doing a closet clean out and these are perfect tips for when shopping for new items 😊 I just came from your dressing room tour video… LoVe!!! Where is that swivel chair from? It’s beautiful 😍 Thanks
Sorry, but I don’t see any of these groups of clothes compliment your body being short. Never wide pant legs, as much as I like them - they don’t work for short nor do short pants.
The struggle is REAL. I love the clean and sleek looks the most. It makes it easy to get dressed and go without rummaging every morning. The down side is curating your wardrobe. I've gone through tons of clothes that either don't fit right or aren't the correct style. And after two babies, its hard to keep up with the way my body has changed. Your tips are very helpful.
Hi Alex!!! Just wanted to say that I have learned alot from you starting from the proper way to wear jeans from how to style white t-shirts and many others ❤️ I love all your videos! Love you loads ❤️
Thanks for the last tip. I've always wondered why I never liked skirts that end at my knees or why they look bad on me. I also agree with you on the tip about shorts. I've noticed that mid-thigh shorts look much more flattering on me than the ones that end at my knees.
I’m 5ft so your videos massively help! 🤍 Just wondering if you could do a ‘street style’ petite video? Love your tips but a lot of the clothes you style are quite girly or formal so I’d love to see some baggy hoodies, 90s style jeans, or even just some lounge wear tips
Hi Michelle! Thank you so much! I actually posted a 90s style jeans video a couple of weeks ago if you want to check it out and a video on loungewear too if you look back at my previous videos! :) Thanks so much for watching! X
I have belts in all my basics colors, neutrals plus navy, khaki, etc. I use them a lot to give some shape, but try to wear a belt the same color as the dress, so that they don’t emphasize my poorly-defined waist. Just gathering in that excess fabric on those big dresses helps so much.
I just watched your video about petite style tips and I immediately turned it on as I’m 5’1 ish and I’m always trying to find good videos for the petite range! And your also kind of my style because I’ve find you tubers who do these videos but they aren’t my style at all.I will deffo be keeping up with you 😍
This is so helpful, thank you :) I'm 5 ft2 and 44 kg (with very thin and small bone structure) and it's sooo difficult for me to find clothes that fit me. I usually order from Asos ( in my country does not exist this concept of petite women and all clothes are set in one big cathegory). It's frustrating to know that you have the money to buy something you like, but nothing fits you. I was wandering if you could recommend brands that ship to diffrent countries in Europe (I'm from Romania) that sell clothes for petite and slender women? Thank you :)
Try to find a European you tuber that is petite. They will have links to stores that offer petite clothing. There are so many British ones and they will be familiar with ones that ship to Europe. Fashion mumbler is a British you tuber that is petite. I would contact her.
You look really beautiful ❤️ and you give me a lot of fashion inspiration I still remember my friends use to make fun of me and then I started following your ideas 😌 thanks for everything ❤️🙂
Shoes are the bain of my life, I have a size UK 1.5 to a 2 this means I can only buy children's shoes, its an utter nightmare I know you have regular sized feet but if you do know of anywhere to buy grown up shoes I'd really appreciate it ❤ you look fabulous as always
@@doukissahaltis8153 thank you 😊I will have a look ❤ as they are in the US I'm less inclined as shipping is so much to the UK and if you need to return them it's a flipping nightmare
I'm tall but these tips are helpful for me in not looking shorter than I am and looking flattering. I hate bermuda shorts, they're so unflattering. Great tips!
I’m 5’1” and need help finding blazers that fit. Everything is so long and hangs like I’m wearing my husbands suit coat. Any tips on finding practical blazers that are versatile with casual wear for petites?
With mini skirts I definitely opt for anything above mid thighs anything slightly above the knee looks weird on my short legs. High waisted skirts look very good as well!
Another tip: pointy toed shoes with some heel look great with baggy jeans, as they will peak out and provide a little height, lengthening, fashion and class to your outfit.
I am petite and really curvy. My issue is that I have to go to bigger sizes because of my boobs and so everything is fitting on my upper part, but I have so much material on the arms of everything (like 10-15 cm) so I have to go to taylor it.
Same my legs aren’t that long about 28 to 29 inches but my torso is mini I’m also 5foot well 152cm. I love my height as I can wear kids clothes and tops but high wasted jeans that don’t come up to my chin is a struggle 🤦🏽♀️😞😂💕
I looooove the beige culottes that you are actually wearing in this video -- not so much the alternatives. Can you please tell me the exact brand you are wearing here so that I can keep my eye on that store moving forward? They fit you so nicely!
I am 5.2 and I am 65 years old, in reality I have never been mortified by my height, nor what type of body I have, I wear what I like and I always wear high heels, that is what all short actresses do and the problem is over. We are not models, that is pure fantasy, we are women, mothers, grandmothers, and we do not need the approval of a stereotype, a smile and a beautiful attitude to life is worth more than everything.
Great video, I'm 5ft 2 and just bought some midi skirts for summer but wasn't sure they would suit me as I thought I had to stay away from midi and maxi styles
I'm average height 5'4 and regular fits most of the time. Petite never works for me so it's a weird crossroads space to be in...I still love to look taller so thanks for the tips 😁
The first tip was so helpful. I didn't realise I could fix it just by wearing a fitted top, so I've actually been avoiding wide pants. Could you please do a video on styling maxi skirts, too?
What brand are the beige culottes from? I know you said they're sold out but hoping to see if the brand carries something close to it because I absolutely love them and the alternatives you linked do not look like them to me 😅
Hi Alex I am now 5' 3" 65 yrs old spinal fracture lost an inch all my life my guys were way taller than I was ruined my feet with torture shoes what can I say? My mum was what they called a pocket venus; 5' and beautiful inside and out. All that aside great advice! I am guilty of looking at photos and not calibrating proportions sometimes because something looks beautiful online etc, but I learned a lot from Justine Leconte's vlog about proportions, vr similar to your brilliant ideas, think it's about proportion, not trying to feel taller, as I did. Lovely video, keep up the good work! Tx. I ALWAYS sort out petite sizing on-line now due to Covid 19 and online shopping which is something we all have become accustomed to. Soon I hope can actually try something on in a store, oh well !!!!
I am 4 ft 11 too, but my legs are a lot longer than my upper body (ie they belong to a 5 ft 3 person!) So most of these styles may make my legs look even longer and upper body shorter. Any tips for breaking the proportions better for me?
I’m 4’11 as well and what I’ve learned over the years is shopping in the kids section is nothing to be ashamed of. Not only do they fit well but they are also great for the wallet. Me as well. I’m also built like a ball and 4ft 11. Also I’m 65 so kids stuff is a no no.

Did you say 4f 11? Finally finally found someone who is as tall as me... All the other petite fashion guides I follow are 5 and above.

Hello! I would opt for petite ranges in brands like Marks & Spencer, Boden, Oasis, they should fit you better with the length :)
With mini skirts I definitely opt for anything above mid thighs anything slightly above the knee looks weird on my short legs. High waisted skirts look very good as well!

Are you Blake Lively's little sister? You kinda look like her 😊
Another tip: pointy toed shoes with some heel look great with baggy jeans, as they will peak out and provide a little height, lengthening, fashion and class to your outfit.
That denim jacket despite being cropped didn't work for you because oversized jackets or oversized clothes in general are not meant for petites.
