I do 3 classes and open mat on Sunday. It’s the perfect amount to prevent burn out and injury.
Usually train 2-3 days a week. With two days being 3 hours (noon & evening) , and the third day is for 2hours. It does wonders for my body and allows it to recover.
Glade you made this video. That’s what I was thinking. I was thinking every other day. So I have a rest day to heal. The school I go to has evenings. So when I do 50 times on mat then the morning for another class will open up. Then I can do morning. Thank You. Professor
6x a week here, I do pretty well at tourneys i always win gold😁, I do 2x a week lift, 1x a week extra cardio (jogging) and 2x a week abs. As well as jits 6x a week
How do you manage 6 times a week? All the gyms in my area have 3 days and one open mat a week max. I wanna start training 7 days a week but can't seem to find a gym that has this facility.
@@siddheshmirjankar910 in that case I'd probably join another gym nearby that allows more classes. But if not there are alternatives. I'm not sure if you just love jiu jistu and want to do it recreationally or doing it to stay in supreme shape or if it's just super fun or if you want to be a world champion one day. But what I'd do is lift, cardio &/or abs on those days you cant do jiu jistu (allow 1-2 rest days of course) and yea you'll see your Jiu jistu get exponentially better. I hope this helps!
@@Not_T0937 I love BJJ and I’m very passionate about it. I also started out having very low self esteem, and hence wanna improve it by making great progress. Therefore I’m looking to train daily, as the only way to progress faster is more time/experience on the mat.
@@Not_T0937 yes, your advice helped. Thanks a lot :)
Yes, Go Go
Thanx! Lo admiro Mestre gracias por compartir.
That's if you want to be a jiu jitsu world champion. You don't need 2hrs a day. You can get good off 2 days a week. It might take longer but that is enough to see progress. That's a good number for a recreational guy.
True, just depends on your goal and your natural athleticism etc. I now train 4 days a week. I saw better progress than twice a week. I’m not naturally athletic so I need the extra time learn some of the techniques better. But each to their own.
@mfundimkhize3137 Yeah, it depends on your goal. But training 3x per day every day is if you want to become 1 of the best in the world and win major tournaments like ADCC. That's not at all recommend for someone just trying to get good at jiu jitsu.
Nothing wrong with going 4x per week. The more you train the better you get, on average. But if a person just wants to see progress, 2x per week is enough. It will be on the slower side but progress. It's easy to do, keeps you motivated, doesn't burn you out, etc.
1x per week is not enough. Classes will feel disconnected. Progress will be super slow even for a recreational guy. But it's better than 0x per week so it's better than nothing.
2x per week is good if you want to see some progress but don't want to make your life about it. You might not be in love with bjj. You can get decent results it just takes a lot longer. You see 100 percent more results compared to going 1x per week.
3x per week is good for recreational guys who enjoy going and don't mind taking extra training time to see more results. You'll in a way see 50 percent more results compared to going 2x per week. It's good for recreational guys who want to speed the results up and still have a life outside the gym.
4x a week is competitor terrority. You have to love jiu jitsu to keep this pace up for the long term. For the short term it's fine but this is for lovers if you want to do it long term. Recreational guys might find this to be too much training in the long term.
5x per week and up is for bjj lovers and are far beyond recreational. That's if you want to super jump your progress and you have to love bjj inside and out to keep this up long term.
Cade as legendas! !!

Ossss
I go 5 times a week plus open mats around my area and I’m not that good to get gold at local tournaments. Some people need more mat time, some can advance faster with 2/3days a week.
My training is 2h plus 15min warmup . How long do you , guys train?
and maybe a little tessss
I lift weights and run 5 days a week and do jiu jitsu 3 times a week. I cant move on the weekends.. any tips?
rough rooster rest...just recover your body and eat well
No one trains as much as Tito 😂

rough rooster foam roll every night before bed, sauna, cryotherapy, stretch stretch stretch
Add a rest day in between for one of the exercises, or lower intensity a tad bit
