Floor is able to handle both the Operatic songs from the Tarja era and the more pop style of Annette, so that the band was able to have great live concerts doing a "Decades" tour with so much of their older music mixed between the different eras pre Floor. Also I think everyone wants "Live" Nightwish because the live shows were with Floor before Tuomas was able to write new music for the Floor era. This song was from the Tarja era and Tarja did a great job with it as it was written for her style, but it's great that Floor can also cover this music from the early days of Nightwish.
Nightwish won the lottery when they decided to ask Floor to tour with them, then they won the World when they made her part of Nightwish. The music was always fantastic but Floor gave then a heart and soul that was not there in the same levels before, I always rate then this way, with Tarja you heard to the songs, with Anette you were aware that songs were happening but with Floor you listen and feel every nuance of every song
Wacken 2013, Tampere 2015, Wembley 2016 are fantastic phenomenal concerts. Buenos Aires 2018 is just the same. But the setlist for the Buenos Aires concert is a great mix of old and new for the time. Loved your reactions this year and looking forward to next year. Thank you.
Marco had a throat surgery that almost costed him his voice. He had to relearn how to sing. And he's still able to hit notes that many singers can only dream they could.
I love to see your faces. You definitely enjoy this song so much. Thanks for your reactions I really love this band so much, there is no age for, because I'm nearly 70.but love it
Yes, Dead Boys Poem and I want My Tears Back from this show have been done (My Walden was Wembley, but there's still several more amazing songs from that as well), and now Slaying The Dreamer. Someone else said this, it's not really in my top 10, but i do still love it, especially from this show for the visuals. They certainly added to the visuals as they've grown. 🤩
You are gradually finding the Metal Mozart in Tuomas... He is orchestrating all the music and doing the songs. I don't know how he became such a mastermind, but he is unbelievable and he is such a nice and humble guy too. It is all about the music for him.
This same song deserve to be seen with Tarja Summer Breeze 2002... I love Floor above all... But this song and that presentation put both girls in the same level...
Emppu's guitar sounds like it's about to crawl off the stage and eat someone in this one. Another great example of what you get when you piss Tuomas off. Also from this concert, try "10th Man Down". ruclips.net/video/Px1YJ0EdNAI/видео.html
Happy new year to you two -and to all of us! Let's keep on rocking and make the world free in spirit. Music in general, and nw particularly, has surely been a life saver in these odd years ♥️
Tuomas, Nightwish's songwriter, wrote this one night in a fit of rage, and had to edit it later on to get rid of all the profanity. It's an angry song directed toward the greed of mankind, and their stupidity. As you can see , Tuomas is pounding his keyboard with a fist..... This song is fire 🤘❤🔥🤘. And Happy new year guys !!!! NWSU.
Hmm, as I understood it, it's more about the music industry. A stab at critics bashing artists/bands for little or no good reason, the greed of the record industry etc, causing the metaphorical death of "the Dreamer" (the artist or perhaps specifically Tuomas). I certainly could be wrong, though.
Even a serious song can have a moment of levity...when Marco pretends to "stake" Floor...to see them still having fun live after playing these songs year after year, brings a smile!
First Happy new year to all of you. At me its 2022 already 🇳🇱. Great song and also a stunning reaction from you both looking forward to the next Nightwish reaction 🥂🍾✨
You could also react to "Slaying The Dreamer" from the "End of An Era" (2005) show, Tarja's vocals are very fitting for this song as well. Also "Planet Hell" from the same 2005 show is another amazing performance.
I wonder if they will ever react to s Nightwish song sung by Tarja. They still haven’t done that yet, and I begin to ask myself if they‘ll ever do. Phantom of the Opera would be y great choice, or Nemo.
While I enjoy Tarja songs, there are some early songs that were just weird and sound bad, yet they now have awesome Floor renditions. My girlfriend LOVES "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" live from this concert, but I played the album version for her and she wasn't feeling it AT ALL.
Found your channel New Years Eve, binge watched your entire Nightwish 'playlist'. Looking forward to Poet and the Pendulum, Greatest show on Earth and the album Human Nature, particularly Shoemaker.
Is that the craziest ending ever? It is an older Tarja era song. Most of the songs from this tour are older songs to celebrate 20 years of the band. Thus the title, "Decades Tour". Nightwish has so many different styles to their music. Loved it guys. Can't wait for the next one. Happy New Year Beards!🥂🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊🤘🤘
Great reaction. Like to know why Nightwish wanted Floor so badly? Check out the song Disdain from her former band Revamp (live at Graspop 2010) And meet a side of Floor that will , again surprise you....:)
Yes ,this is an older song. Originally a Tarja song on the Century Child (4th) album. Feel free to skip around. You don't have to follow the list in order. You still haven't listened to Tarja with Nightwish. I would suggest their cover of Phantom of the Opera (from the same show as High Hopes)
@@islgrl292 Crap, I missed the Amaranth video listing when I searched the last time. I know they did the Floor and Henk Phantom, but still want to see them do the End of an Era version with Tarja and Marko.
Slaying the Dreamer isn't one of my favorite Nightwish songs. It probably wouldn't even make the top 20 or 30. However, I do like it. I don't think there is a Nightwish song I just don't like. But this one doesn't hit me like so many of them do. That said (***and let me add a little disclaimer that I, in fact, love all three Nightwish singers in their own way***), I prefer Tarja's vocals on this one. I think her pure operatic style gives this song a certain flare that Floor's rendition in Buenos Aires just doesn't quite duplicate. I tend to think that way with Dark Chest of Wonders, End of All Hope, and 10th Man Down, as well. While Floor does a fantastic job reimagining a lot of the old material, making many of them bright and shiny and new in the process, there are some that just don't work for me as well as with Tarja. I hope you guys, whether on video or on your own, will take the time to check out Tarja's originals on some these tracks. P.S. Brunette Beard, you look so much like a friend of mine from high school. Every time I watch one of your videos, it takes me back. lol Thanks, guys!
I am not Tarja's biggest fan, I can't listen to Tarja for longer then a few songs without getting a headache (and I am sorry for that, can't help it) but sometimes Tarja's voice is better suited for that type of song, and "Slaying The Dreamer" is a Tarja song. Period. End of discussion. LOL. 🤘🤘🤘

The pipes that Troy uses are not bagpipes they're called uilleann pipes. He squeezes them from his legs or underarm, but not bagpipes. Watch the next time he uses them.
They’re not bag pipes, they’re called “uillean pipes”, (pronounced ill - in), though powered by air they have an arm actuated bellows, not blown into like Scottish bagpipes, welcome to the journey!
A HEAVY MARCO AND FLOOR? AND HARDLY ON RUclips! My suggestion is another cover of them, which we hardly see on RUclips. And if you like a heavy Nightwish sound, this will be a very nice one. Marco is singing solo on this one. Check out their cover of Megadeth, symphony of destruction. The second also hardly on RUclips, is a heavy Siren, The Siren performed live of course by Floor Jansen Enjoy it, and I with you!
This is one of the very few songs I don’t like. Not sure why tbh but it doesn’t resonate with me unlike the others. Feels disjointed but not in a good way.
Great reaction! Please do next "Devil and The Deep Dark Ocean" from this same concert.

And if you like a heavy Nightwish sound,

Marco is singing solo on this one.
Check out their cover of Megadeth, symphony of destruction.
The second also hardly on RUclips, is a heavy Siren, The Siren performed live of course by Floor Jansen
Enjoy it, and I with you!
Answer to your question is No.

Screamo is a term I dislike very much
