No it does not work for "Service due" date. It only resets the oil redo date, not the service date!
thats oil service interval, you need obd reader to reset service, dont tell me about other faults like you responded to comments below, simply you can not reset service interval via car menu!

As stated in other comments I just serviced another and reset oil bit still showing service due. I will clear with the scanner now

Tony, you're wrong. This procedure is ONLY for oil change interval reset, NOT for Service Due message.

Why is there so much confusion on these videos and on the Internet? Everyone tells you how to reset the oil light. We need to know how to a reset the SERVICE DUE light.

I would never take my car to AK Autos. Literally embarrassing work.. to reset oil light 5 year old can do it by pressing random buttons. It's so simple.. that's what you showed.. title says service light.. BS . There is no way to do it without the scanner
You need a scan tool like OBD11 to reset SERVICE DUE .. What you are resetting is OIL CHANGE. 😳🤔

It disnt work. It only resetted the oil, but not the service. Light is still on
Is there another fault like brake pads low or a bulb oout or engine management light on this will put service now up as you need to have it fixed to remove that warning once the brakes etc are fixed that will go out

I Did this but the service due light is still on
It will stay on if there is a fault like low brake pads are there any other warnings these must be repaired to get this out

@@tonyakautos No, it will not go away by doing this method. It only rests oil change, not service due! Have to use computer interface to reset!!!
It doesn’t help. It doesn’t reset the service schedule. ONLY the oil change.
Doesn’t help, 2012 A4, it doesn’t let you reset that, only asked to reset the oil change interval, not the service interval.

And this is why u tube should be locked out for normal people who do not have a clue on how to fix cars or work on them. OIL RESET is OIL RESET not annual maintenance . God help you and your AUDI if you change your oil ever 9000k miles and 365 days ? The longer oil change interval was created by car companies that do not want you to own a car for more then 8 years.
