    I love how simple and straightforward you are able to explain and show everything. I am in an arch studio and our professor only gave us zoom recordings from another professor's class over the pandemic to learn rhino on our own as we are actively working on projects. It's been so difficult to navigate so I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video thanks a lot!!

    This is the best beginner Rhino tutorial I've found so far. Very clear and very well commentated. I'm approaching this as a complete beginner in Rhino but well experienced in other 3D programs. I'm rarely able to learn this fast. The only thing that would make these better is a zoom on your command line (but perhaps I should just buy a bigger monitor as opposed to nit picking ;-) ). I see you've taken a RUclips hiatus. But looking forward to seeing new content should you decide to return :-)
    Cheers!

    Nice tutorial but kind of lacking without the 2D drawings. If you could share them and post a link in the description, that would elevate it to the next level.

    I think its one of the best ways rhino explained. I just installed the trial rhino 7 to learn sth, but I already stucked with picking any point in the second storey. Simply stuck the mouse cursor in the basic plane. Can you give me some advice? Thank you a lot : )

    i'm starting to learn rhino, and i must say, 3ds max is way more intuitive for something like this, poly editing is way easier in 3ds max. this whole thing literally takes 1 minute, including the time it takes the software to load!

    Why would you not just rotate the elevations to be on the correct plane? This is such long winded way of modelling!

    • @randomCADstuff
      @randomCADstuff 4 года назад

      I can only guess two reasons: 1) It keeps the 3D geometry itself clear of any excess linework (I know there are ways around this), and 2) He is able to extrude all the window mullions/panes on every elevation at the same time, rather than doing it separately. Just a workflow preference I guess. Save time in one operation but lose time in another. Since he types most of his commands, the extra work rotating stuff isn't too much of a concern.

    My work interface doesn't show that 3 axis when i click on solids, hence I can't make their width larger than walls

    • @farhaansamnani
      @farhaansamnani  6 лет назад +5

      Nihal Galathia the 3 axis that appears when you select an object is called gumball. At the bottom of the rhino window near Ortho, Osnap and smartrack select the Gumball option to turn it on.
