      @@lifeoflw84 i explained how to do it. I also explained that the camera wouldn’t fit to show how to do it. If you are so simple that you can’t understand that it’s a simple press fit into the washer reservoir tank then you need to step away from the car and let someone with a brain take care of it for you

    I love videos like this. Straight to the point and not some bs backstory that takes a half hour to explain that they’ve been working on cars for forty years. Great explanation!!!

    Very helpful! It''s actually a lot easier to just pull the pump out of the reservoir before you remove the cable and hose though. It's much easier to see and access, all you have to do is carefully pull straight up

    • @milehighmisfits

      I do not, to remove the reservoir the bumper will need to be removed

    Take the car apart to replace the w/w pump. And THAT'S QUICK AND EASY??? YIKES!!!

    I got my pump installed today. I only have 7mm bolts under the bumper and behind the wheel. Some put starhead screws on the wheel liner (3). Oh and you don’t have to take out the entire liner. Just half.

      I also went OEM for my pump. The one that died was made in China. OEM was in Mexico. No rubber O ring too.

    @chriscarbone4956 Год назад +2

    Can you explain how the pump comes out and goes back in. Does it snap in? Did you have to use something to get it out or get it in?

    • @milehighmisfits
      @milehighmisfits  Год назад

      Of course! So the pump just pops out, it sits in the opening on the rubber grommet and so when you remove it you will just want to push it straight up until it pops out. And with the new one you will want to pop it in straight down and make sure you install the new rubber O-ring!

      So as of today when I try using the windshield wiper fluid nothing comes out! Should I check the fuse first?

    • @milehighmisfits
      @milehighmisfits  Год назад

      @@michaelsantos4403 definitely check the fuse first! Do you hear the pump buzzing when you hold the switch for it? You may need someone to activate the switch for you while you listen to the pump near the front bumper

    • @michaelsantos4403
      @michaelsantos4403 Год назад +1

      @@milehighmisfits Unfortunately, no. It doesn’t make the sound anymore. It’s completely quiet when I activate it

      @milehighmisfits  Год назад

      @@michaelsantos4403 okay! Then yeah make sure to check the fuse and if that is good then it is most likely the washer pump

    If you were to replace the washer hose only on 2015 malibu (2.0t) do you still only get access from the wheel hub?

    • @milehighmisfits
      @milehighmisfits  6 месяцев назад

      I believe the washer reservoir is in the same place on the 2015’s however I’m not positive. But if it is in the same spot then yes you will need to go through the wheel well

    Why do you siphon the washer fluid?

    • @milehighmisfits
      @milehighmisfits  9 месяцев назад

      I siphoned the fluid so it doesn’t pour out of the bottom when you pull the pump out
