If only Hollywood had this much passion creating their “resident evil”… Also, special thank you, Sir, for adding Ukrainian subs. That also touched my heart. And well done on that Dino Crisis nod. We sure share the same taste in Capcom games 😊
It's a terrifying and sad concept of a virus that the person has little to no control, but they latch onto old regular habits while turning slowly. This turned out incredibly well done. It's the atmosphere I've always wanted in a RE film. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
This is how a RE series should play out. There's the main story, but there are all the other side stories as well. This was an awesome take on one of them. Thank you for all your hard work and loyalty to the source material.
This was absolutely phenomenal. You made a 20 minute short film that was more faithful and made with more love and fan service than all the big Resident Evil films and shows combined. Something like this is what I've been hoping for since I was a kid. I truly hope to see more short films in the future and maybe even a full length film one day.
If anyone in Hollywood with a brain saw this they would hire the team behind this short film and give them a big enough budget to make an RE1 movie. This was awesome! Even the layout of the house that leads to that room was the same. I’m extremely impressed.
Unfortunately it didn’t do well enough. Movie itself is really good and I think the people who made this are crazy talented but all Hollywood producers see is what will make money and 56,000 views in 24 hours just ain’t cutting it unfortunately
@@nateorius Its not like this had marketing teams behind it or anything...of course it "didn't blow up" when people didn't know it exists. I'm a huge fan of RE & didn't know this was a thing until today. I absolutely love the film, with proper marketing, it'll reach the right audience & make a lot of money, I'm sure.
this is absolutely incredible! I only found this because I'd been doing some research on the original cut scene actors of the 1996 game, only to discover that not only is the original Chris Redfield still acting, but he just starred in an incredible fan film that details my favorite horror bit of the first game! The Hunter looks amazing, the rooms feel so accurate to the game with the angles you chose, the casting is great, the COSTUMES! A work of art really! I love how you cast the 2 characters we actually see in game, Wesker and Valentine. Oscar is actually very accurate to the in game model, which is difficult, considering it's 2002 graphics. Gracie is also pretty damn close, with the same bone structure you can see that Jill has in the 2002 remake. I'm just in love with this film and how well it's made
This was an AMAZING short! the level of detail portrayed in this film was so faithful to the game. I NEVER imagined "doggy food" meant he ate a dog, i always envisioned him eating the dog's food! But this was an even better glimpse into the breakdown of the Keeper. ALL of you did a fantastic job and proved what passionate fans are capable of doing when given the opportunity. BRAVO
Right!? Somehow I always imagined the Keeper going down to the dog kennels to feed the dogs and sit there with them eating their food (or the dogs would be gone and he'd be there alone).
@@GrandmasterDevo Pretty sure that's just how they interpreted it since there's no other information than what is written in the note. I always took it as he ate the dog's food because he was reverting to a more animalistic creature so it makes sense for him to be eating actual dog food and not think it's gross, but this is definitely a cool take on it for sure that I was not expecting lol
I really don't have a lot going for me anymore in life, but I do find solace in small things like this. Thanks for helping me relive some of my childhood and forgetting the day to day emptiness. You guys are doing more for us fans than Capcom ever did. I hope to see more short films like this.
The accuracy in this project is palpable in every single detail: it isn't just the beautiful still creepy atmosphere but especially those details like including Safsprin&AquaCure medicines or the Chris' smoking reference. The way you followed every single word from the most iconic serie file is simply amazing. As a mad-hardcore RE lore lover since childhood who's disappointed from any official Live-Action saga stuff,I totally enjoyed this project of yours. My hugest complimenti🩵
Great job Andrew and everyone involved!!! So cool to see Charlie acting in the franchise again!! RE is huge in Brazil, please keep doing the amazing work!!!
This was both a fresh take on Resident Evil and so nostalgic at the same time. Felt like I was back in my childhood experiencing RE1 for the very first time. Amazing work.
This is amazing, this is what a real resident evil movie should look like, like it was made for people that understand and are fans of the franchise, it gives me a feeling of really being in that mansion, thank you guys
Just……wow. What can I say that everyone in the comments hasn’t already said 10x over?! This was EVERYTHING a fan could want and more. It means so much to me as a die hard RE fan that this was made, and by a bunch of top tier fans nonetheless. It displays a love and passion for the source material that we never got in any previous live action (big budget!) adaptations. Pure fan service. I want more. WE WANT MORE. That “Coming Soon” can’t come soon enough!
This was amazing, guys. The fact that you got the original live action actor of Chris to come in and play another role, which he did a phenomenal job at makes it all the more cooler.
How not to love? The staff, cast, writing and directing is passionate and interesting! Also gotta say, seeing Charlie there gives that whole seal of authenticity and man, I am becoming more and more fan of this guy. We need more Charlie on the upcoming projects! Jesus guys... now an Resi 2 with Marvin, before the hell broke loose would be amazing
This is the BEST adaptation of the chilling moment in the original Resident Evil. Regardless of which character you play, you stumble on the keepers diary, which has the iconic line "itchy tasty". Despite that last bit, which was hilarious, the day to day memos of the keeper is absolutely chilling and I believe that THIS fan film is perfect. Wow. What a win for Biohazard!
Absolutely incredible! This short film surpasses every Resident Evil movie out there. I truly hope you create more RE stories and that this one becomes a series. Thanks for turning one of my favorite games into such an amazing short film. The decision to cast the original actor as the Keeper was a brilliant touch.
Thank you for bringing a masterpiece like this. Been waiting all my life for a glimpse of a loyal and good adaptation, and so was my girl. She passed away a month ago, and I know she would have love this. Thank you!
It's incredible how some fans who don't even have the support and budget for a film that they give to the mediocre producers of ALL the Resident Evil films and with the little they have, they managed to make the BEST product so far. and MOST FAITHFUL audiovisual of the saga, my congratulations.
Faithful to the lore and that O.G. Resident Evil feeling. ROE team and everyone else involved, I thank you. You've brought thousands( with no doubt that it'll be millions ) of people joy.
@@jamespaul6315 yeah true. The way I see it, the best Anderson movie was the very first one. Only because it SORTA captured the atmosphere that the first game established. Sorta. However for me WTRC was leagues ahead of any given Anderson movie only because of it's set design and ONE very solid scene in the mansion that I consider to be the best RE scene in a hollywood live action film. Still even WTRC felt like they just shoehorned things together which is the wrong move to make with anything RE. The beauty of it is when you can live in the atmosphere and explore the world. To let the dark tone really set in. I also do enjoy how WTRC showed zombies being closer to something like this. Which is how RE zombies work. There is a point where they are sentient but also unable to control their actions. Sorta like a possession. Which honestly makes the creepy factor ten fold for me. But yeah I think the problem is they want to shoehorn so much of the IP in a film project instead of just letting us enjoy the story and atmosphere. I still say that the franchise would work better as a series. Each season covering a game. All culminating to the final season which unfortunately would be RE6. But maybe by that point we'd be okay if they went a bit more original by that point lmao
@@nunyabidness3429 i enjoyed wtrc the biggest issue i had is it should have stuck to just the first game. It didnt need to do a mash up, the first game would make a great movie alone.
You guys gotta make a whole series like this! I’d definitely watch it. I grew up playing Resident Evil on PlayStation 1. I had the Director’s Cut! You guys nailed it all!
Wow 🤯 OG sound effects ✅ Sfx ✅ Acting ✅ Cast ✅ Nostalgia ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ Thanks guys for putting all your hard work in this. It shows ✅ This short was great quality!! I loved the last credit too lmao
Loved the subtle hints to the bigger world of Resident Evil, and I loved the cinematography and slow degradation of the keeper. The fact that they've hinted at zombies holding on to their faculties for a short while, their grievances and feelings before nothing is left, is really haunting. I hope that you all keep up the great work.
This is great. You can tell the people who created this film have a real passion for the source material. The casting was perfect, and Charlie, specifically, did a fantastic job as the Keeper. I hope there are other Resident Evil ideas being considered for future projects.
Came here from The Critical Drinker's channel to check out the short film after yesterday's panel, gotta say the hype from that was real. Played RE1 heaps in my early 20's and absolutely loved the game and this short film, it's really impressive what everyone involved has been able to create here on such a small budget and also how much it resembles the source material despite having to "fill in some blanks". Kudos to everyone for this amazing achievement, I hope this leads to Capcom taking notice and more content from Andy involving the RE universe.
I had completely forgotten this was in the works until Ink Ribbon mentioned it in his fun facts and trivia video, so what a pleasant surprise it was to hear it was not only finished, but _free admission._ A quick tidbit: Wasn't the original live-action opening for RE1 roughly around the budget of this fan film? I could be mistaken, but it'd be a hell of a coincidence if that was the case. (Granted, if it was roughly $55,000 back in 1995, inflation would've jacked up the actual figures compared to nowadays. Oh, well.) Amazing work from everyone involved - actors, producers, and anyone who pitched in! Looking forward to your future projects, man!
This masterpiece captures what all those big budget movies and the show failed to capture, you've taken me back to freshman year of high school when I first played the game when it came out all those years ago. You've truly captured the atmosphere of Resident Evil.
This was a masterpiece. None of the other Resident Evil films had this much love and soul put into them. Way better than anything Paul Anderson or Welcome to Raccoon City could ever do.
They made an awesome and faithful RE film with little budget. Even basing it on one of the most famous RE journal entries! Why can’t Hollywood get it right?!
The essence of this movie is truly amazing; I felt like I was part of the Resident Evil world! This is how the movies of this incredible saga should be
This was absolutely amazing! Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work and love put in. This is what Hollywood should be doing with RE but it takes real fans to do it right. Thanks for this beautiful piece of art. Long live ROE.
You just reminded me how Resident Evil story is so rich, i got more hooked than any big budget movie so far. A true faithful adaptation, Capcom needs to hire you guys. Thanks
Yes, today is the day!! Thank you everyone that helped fund this amazing project, and thank you everyone for all your hard work to make this a reality.
I really have to ask, would it be so hard for a studio to make a movie like this? Just Alpha and Bravo trying to survive the Spencer Estate? They try so hard to include so many other characters and storylines, and everything gets screwed up. Thanks for this film. What an RE film should be, plus good to see Jill included here.

As a fan of Resident Evil since the 90s.. THIS is Resident Evil. Nailed the atmosphere 100%. Great job everyone!
This is how a RE series should play out. There's the main story, but there are all the other side stories as well. This was an awesome take on one of them. Thank you for all your hard work and loyalty to the source material.
"Sir, it's not safe out here. GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM!" WAS THAT MY BOY HUNK?
The red eyes are a dead giveaway
Ya man!
I wasnt expecting wesker and hunk cameos😌
he has also his signature shotgun equipped
That soundtrack hit hard with it.What Is name it sound familiar
@@nateoriusit’ll blow up
@@nateorius Its not like this had marketing teams behind it or anything...of course it "didn't blow up" when people didn't know it exists. I'm a huge fan of RE & didn't know this was a thing until today. I absolutely love the film, with proper marketing, it'll reach the right audience & make a lot of money, I'm sure.
The fact you have the OG Chris in this makes this passion project so much better
Congrats on this amazing short film
Yeah im surprised, and he aged so well
this is absolutely incredible!
I'm just in love with this film and how well it's made
Chris Redfield! This is everything a RE fan could ever want. This was fantastic!
1:16 you just gonna leave the door open behind you Jill?! Is that what we’re doing now Jill?!?!??
You're our amateur, Jill!
I was like Jill, girl, CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR 🗣️
Do you want zombies, Jill? Because that's how we get zombies!
STARS training in a nutshell 😆.
😂😂I didn't notice until you said something about it.
Now THIS is how you make a Resident Evil movie. Absolutely amazing.
The music in this is PERFECT. I loved the save room theme and Moonlight Sonata during the credits.
This is hands down the best live RE adaptation out there. I love the attention to detail here. Great job all involved with this.
Great job Andrew and everyone involved!!! So cool to see Charlie acting in the franchise again!! RE is huge in Brazil, please keep doing the amazing work!!!
This just proves that Resident Evil fans will ALWAYS make better RE films than bigger studios 🔥
Meh, it's fine, not that special. They used a lot of fan service.
This shit was ass
Nobody likes you with your terrible takes.
@@shrekrealista5045it’s an authentic adaptation , of course it has fan service 😂😂😂
You know you can do that without forcing fan service, right? 😂@@BiohazardDeclassified
BRO WHAT REGINA?! DINO CRISIS INCOMING?!?! 😮😮😮
I wasn’t entirely sure until the last moment because for some reason, they didn’t make Regina look like Regina at all lol.
Jill & Regina sure do look alike only difference is the outfits & the hair color
The name of the next project/chapter is "The Third Energy Crisis" so yes, Dino Crisis is coming.
That actually made me smile at the end along with the save room theme
@@donxponce7729 me too
Hope there are more projects in the future. The hunter was 10/10. The vision for the story was perfect.
Amazing how on a small budget, you managed to capture the essence of RE more than any big Hollywood studio. Awesome work!
20 mins long and already better than any Resident Evil motion picture! Thank you for making this piece faithful to RE fans
Story from the past? LOVE IT!
Heads up this channel is a known supporter and sympathizer of PDFiles. Also allowed doxxing of another channel on an Outbreak File 2 stream of his.
Thank you for bringing a masterpiece like this. Been waiting all my life for a glimpse of a loyal and good adaptation, and so was my girl. She passed away a month ago, and I know she would have love this. Thank you!
This video alone is better than all live action media ever made! As a lifelong fan, thank you.
It's incredible how some fans who don't even have the support and budget for a film that they give to the mediocre producers of ALL the Resident Evil films and with the little they have, they managed to make the BEST product so far. and MOST FAITHFUL audiovisual of the saga, my congratulations.
Came from Bawkbasoup live streaming and watched this. Incredible job! I would trust this team to do justice to a resident evil series!
Estoy seguro de que si ustedes realizaran su propia version de RE venderia millones .....simplemente es impresionante la calidad de su trabajo
Hands down the best collaboration with the resident evil community!
Excellent work everyone!
This is really good. You know the crew cares about accuracy when you see Jill carrying the same shotgun model as in the remake.
I love you. To the one who did this movie. I do love you. Thank you. 20ish years I’ve been waiting for this.
Faithful to the lore and that O.G. Resident Evil feeling. ROE team and everyone else involved, I thank you. You've brought thousands( with no doubt that it'll be millions ) of people joy.
You have something here. It's like snippets work better in the RE universe rather than long length films screaming for an ending.
Well no, the movies just havent been faithful to the games.
I feel like we all have been curious on what happened to that guy. I was satisfied to see that's what this was
@@jamespaul6315 WTRC was absolute trash, man.... no idea how any one could like that hot garbage.
You guys gotta make a whole series like this! I’d definitely watch it. I grew up playing Resident Evil on PlayStation 1. I had the Director’s Cut! You guys nailed it all!

Hahaha JJ cleanin up after umbrella is the icing on this masterful cake ! 😂😂
Absolutely well made! Thank you guys for paying so much respect to that legendary diary in Resident Evil 1!
This was glorious. A huge thank you to everyone involved in this!
Wow, as a fan of the Resident Evil franchise, this is the best short film I've ever seen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I just watched this with Bawkbasoup and all my fellers. This was terrific. 1998/10
❤
5:15 FINALLY! For years, I wanted to see a Hunter be made in a Resident Evil movie and you are the only guys who did it. It looks amazing.
I had completely forgotten this was in the works until Ink Ribbon mentioned it in his fun facts and trivia video, so what a pleasant surprise it was to hear it was not only finished, but _free admission._
A quick tidbit: Wasn't the original live-action opening for RE1 roughly around the budget of this fan film? I could be mistaken, but it'd be a hell of a coincidence if that was the case. (Granted, if it was roughly $55,000 back in 1995, inflation would've jacked up the actual figures compared to nowadays. Oh, well.)
Amazing work from everyone involved - actors, producers, and anyone who pitched in! Looking forward to your future projects, man!
This masterpiece captures what all those big budget movies and the show failed to capture, you've taken me back to freshman year of high school when I first played the game when it came out all those years ago. You've truly captured the atmosphere of Resident Evil.
Bravo and congratulations to everyone. What a cool and original idea. Amazing to see Chris on screen I couldn't believe it.
This was a masterpiece. None of the other Resident Evil films had this much love and soul put into them. Way better than anything Paul Anderson or Welcome to Raccoon City could ever do.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this movie and thank you to the cast and crew.
They made an awesome and faithful RE film with little budget. Even basing it on one of the most famous RE journal entries! Why can’t Hollywood get it right?!
hollywood writers don't care for source material. instead, they would rather inject their own ideas into it. resident evil in name only
The essence of this movie is truly amazing; I felt like I was part of the Resident Evil world! This is how the movies of this incredible saga should be
Justice has been done to RE cinematic universe. So Happy to see this as an original RE Fan.
This was absolutely amazing! Thanks to everyone involved for all the hard work and love put in. This is what Hollywood should be doing with RE but it takes real fans to do it right. Thanks for this beautiful piece of art. Long live ROE.
Phenomenal! THIS is how you treat a series with dignity and respect and only true fans of the series can make this happen! BRAVO!
