Afaik the we novas here in ireland now, I’ve a gte a gsi and a red top one…values through the roof, good to see but I’m happy being their guardian for a while yet 😊
I had a 89 gte in white , same as auction car paid £6995 in 91 16k mls, sold 14 months later for £3695 why ? Because in the early 90s everything hot hatch / fast was getting stolen, insurance went mad. Wish I'd kept the little Griffin now , and bought a job lot of fast ford's at the same time , hind sight what a wonderful thing . Regards ste
The Nova was completely crap when it was new. Awful thing when compared to the competition. Poor handling, terrible brakes, rubbish interior. Why would anyone pay stupid money for that?
biased aren't ya judging by your other responses. Most people would disagree with you. They are fabulous cars and the design is gorgeous. Those flared arches are iconic and even Colin McRae drove one in rally
@@raftonpounder6696 vauxhall was ahead of its time. Vauxhall were the first to fit a monocoque chassis, the first sports car was a 1914 vauxhall Sports torpedo, one of the most successful DTM cars of all time was the MK4 Astra DTM, the 888 edition (1 of 100) is now worth over £30,000. The Cavalier Turbo had the same performance statistics as the Sapphire cosworth for a lot less money. Nova GTE now worth that kinda money. They was fun cars back in the day but 18 grand wow.
Always wanted a nice MK1 Astra GTE in white, pal had a nice one back in 1991 and it was spotless.
Sold my Sierra 2.3d GL for 150 quid 🤣🤣 it was utterly worn out with 180k maybe I should have kept it !!
Got to say I do love an old vauxhall!
So do we!
Oh dear

What recession?
Please make the auction videos longer, love it 👍

When you consider how much a modern small car costs, £19k for a very special Nova doesn't seem bad at all. £19k wouldn't buy you much new car now....!
Some lovely cars in that auction, not sure the Nova was worth that money with baggy seat squabs.
