- Steam "critics" have review bombed the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, stating that it's far too difficult to even enjoy, with as many as 1 in 3 of the reviewers voicing this opinion. We look at this Shadow of the Erdtree controversy, Rocket League becoming a football game and Palworld potentially going multi-platform!

Lack of research here on why the reviews are negative, a lot of them are chinese people being pissed about the anti cheat.

I watch a video that claims reviewers are not “real gamers(tm)” and therefore don’t like difficult games while real gamers(tm) do. Now I watch a video that is disputing that very concept. LOL. 😂

Jokes aside. My opinion: I’m old. I don’t have enough free time to git gud. If I even can at this point. I’ve been playing videogames for 4 decades now. I can’t be bothered to play games that are too difficult. It ain’t fun for me. I play VGs, wait for it, to relax and have fun. I know, mind blowing stuff. I give FromSoftware games a very wide berth. LOL. I understand what you’re thinking: Blasphemy. LOL. I also don’t usually have interest in Fantasy anyway. It’s not very difficult. Wordplay intended. 😂

Word for word, I am the same and I feel the same. I just wish the fanboys would admit that a difficulty setting I like to play on IN NO WAY affects how they want to play, which is the hardest level possible. Next, the fan boys need to make A LINE of what is TOO DIFFICULT??? Because most of their games are artificially hard and have bad programming that CHEATS (i.e. input reading, enemy strikes that go thru walls and other enemies to kill you, and camera issues). What is too hard exactly, dying 100 times in the first hour? Or is it 1000 times in the first hour??? They will never admit this to anyone because if I die this much, I always scale back the difficulty so I CAN HAVE FUN! Because at some point even they have to admit, it's ridiculous and the games are waaaaay too hard for a large majority of gamers and it's def NO FUN
@@desmondjefferson2127 it’s obvious that a lot of their self esteem is riding on their gaming skills. I remember recently complaining about the ammunition micromanaging in Doom Eternal. I got a standard “skill issue” reply, to which I replied “Sure, why not. Still… etc”. The guy was so surprised I conceded on that front. LOL.
For some people it’s really important, the idea that you can lower the difficulty detracts from their enjoyment. Why is that so, I really can’t tell you. I’d say let them have it. FromSoftware themselves says it is important for them… for some reason.

I'll admit, I'm salty because I REALLY want to play most of their games, I'm begging them to please take my money but I'm not willing to be trusted for 50 - 100 hours of my limited free time. 🤷♂️ I have a life so I can do other things that I enjoy, and most don't enjoy artificial frustration.
