What part of the auditioning process is slowing down your workflow? 💻 Editing? 📝 Proposals? 🎤 Setting up equipment?

For me it is mainly editing and the second most time consuming thing is trying to figure out HOW I shall read it. What to empazise, what type of style, tempo etc.

Why is it hard to book work on your platform? I've been on for a few days and I've replied to 20 jobs and nothing.

@@princeicio Most talent will send in 50-100 auditions before booking their first job. That's why it's so important to keep your auditioning time to no more than 5 minutes per audition and send in only a 15-20s sample. If your audio quality is exceptional, it's just a matter of time.

I made the mistake of putting myself on the sale rack in the beginning. I have since shifted over to more of a mid to top bid. Still no success yet, but I feel my auditions get listened to more often now.

Thats great to hear that you're getting more listens. It seems so counter intuitive to charge more, but it works! -Randy

This was helpful - as usual! What I find really difficult is knowing how to adjust my price when I have bidded for a job and the client asks "now we want to broadcast this on TV" or "in addition to what we originally though we might do an international campaign" or something like that and they ask me how much I would charge for that. I have no clue at all, and so far I always lost the bait by probably bidding too low or just ask questions to them that they didn´t end up replying to...

Ahhh, yes great question! To be paid for work beyond what is included in your revision policy, you will need to ask the client to Add a Payment to the project (via their job-level Agreements or Payments tab). Once they’ve added a payment, a new agreement will be sent to you for review, similar to the way an agreement was sent to initiate the project.

@@voices I think I was a bit unclear. I meant that it is difficult to actually know how much increase my fee when the purpose of the video, how it is spread etc changes from what was originally posted.

@@MariaDrangel Ahhh yes, that's a common question we hear. If you're working with a Voices team member on the job, I'd recommend consulting with them. If it's a self-serve job and you're working directly with the client, I would refer to our rates sheet as well as some other online rate calculators to find something that feels fair.
