  • Most of us can’t get a professionally produced demo right out of the gate. So, what do we do? We make it ourselves. If done right, it can get you tons of work until you’re ready to get one professionally done. In this video, I’ll teach you exactly what you need to do to create your very first demo so that you can get started working as a voice over artist right away.

Thanks huge for sharing about entry-level platforms like Fiverr, ACX, and Upwork. I joined each of these months ago, and the reward and experience has been decent.
And for clarifying about NOT submitting DIY or beginner work to Agencies until they are professionally engineered. Considering an actor friend also stated this, clarifying only professionally audited or compiled pieces go to an agent (when you've accumulated enough clips :)

I have a deep voice and sing quite a bit. I even won a contest with a local radio station, got to be a guest DJ for 1 hour on a Friday night and play my songs I chose... afterwards the show DJ asked me if i was trying to steal their job.LOL you mention being a voice over coach. I am trying to break into the voiceover space, and I have been submitting auditions through Backstage primarily; and I thought I had a good cross-section of demos on my profile; however, I have yet to land a gig in five months of attempts. Example if I spent thousands of dollars to get a professional sounding demo that makes me sound like 1 million bucks if I got hired tomorrow I literally would have zero idea how to re-create that other than paying someone to do so because I’m so new and just learning
