I just came to watch your video for tips on my 2005 spyder. I previously laced the vehicle and it looked great. I wanted to have it wrapped and was told that the paint finish wasn't good enough. I find it funny I'm watching your video and and you have a spyder sitting in the background exact year and color as mine.
Bout to start sanding down my c4 after it got hit and run, it also has many chip spots. I bought the metallic gloss midnight red from ur shop too, can’t wait to start next week.
I feel bad for you guys in Cali with those exhaust issues over here in Colorado I don't even have catalytic converters on one of my cars and the cops don't care at all
I love seeing the 3G in the background! I had a junkyard RS, but just upgraded to a GT in much better shape. But some panels were changed and the greys are just off enough that I think paint correction will make it obvious so I'm thinking of getting her wrapped! Do you have any advice??
I hoped this worked out being 5 years ago, but if you only primered the base metal then you likely have rust by now. Primer doesn't seal anything. You have to top-coat it to keep the water out.
got an 82 mustang gt. paint is horrid on her.. however bodylines all match up.. wondering if i can get away with a wrap instead of all the body work blocking and priming that is needed thanks for the vid.
I want to wrap my car, but I have some paint chips just in one spot on two doors. If I spot fix those, would I, as a beginner, have to worry about the wrap? Both how it looks, and when I remove the wrap down the line, the paint potentially flaking off?
Question sir. I just did exactly what you did to my trunk but my wrap looks awful!? It has this glaze to it to where I though I needed to put quick layer of gloss spray paint on it first. Do you primer the sanded parts before you wrap? I wrapped my hood that didn’t need sanded and it looks great.
Whenever you primer the area you have to re-sand again to make it smooth but without sanding off all of the primer then you can wrap it and it should be a perfect finish
A bit late to the thread here. I have an issue with the hood of my 4Runner. Clear coat has flaked off in a small area behind the hood scoop and I've been told to repaint entire hood before I wrap it. One wrap shop quoted me a couple grand to sand it. What grit sandpaper should I use and do it myself?
Where do you buy your films from? Is there any price difference from what you get than what the public does? I’m only asking cause you’ve inspired me to take Wrapping Courses through 3M starting small and eventually open more to the public
@@ParadoxTheWrapper im looking into wrapping my car. So it will stick even to the primer and sanded paint? How long has it lasted? My paint on the hood is getting chalky.

Move out of california. Worst state in the country. Move to FL. You can have your farm, cars, guns beaches, everything... and for 1/4 of the price. We're all about freedom here!
you need to learn the right auto language. if you are going to use a DA sander use an air compressor that can run an airpower DA sander that has a high CFM on the air compressor you need 4 or better at 90 psi and 6 or better at 40 psi. an airpower da sander runs at 90 psi and if you have a small tank it will run like a slug or just cut out all togetherr
You have inspired me to do this. Just received my wrap today. Shaved my door handles last weekend. So stoked

Just sand it smooth and wrap it
Love it. And love the little piggy.
Just what I needed to see my car has damage in the same spots and I’m about to wrap
I had to sand off all the bad clear coat off my bumper...learned the hard way...wrap looks great
Did you need to clear coat over it or a primer? If not did it come out good ?
Did it stick well over the base coat or did you clear it again?
Thanks for the informative video! The chicken was icing on the cake!

I got A 1991 Toyota Celica lift back... and the paint job is up-to-date , fully reconditioned so on so forth. This has given me an idea for my car.

Even in Illinois, cops told me I should straight pipe my previous car (not that they didn't do it to their own personal vehicles)
In Louisiana no cat catalytic converters no mufflers no problem
Yup. Cali is terrible with this.
How did u pass smog in Colorado , my cats are aftermarket and the light comes on because of it,

Back in the day with my choice of car was the MR2 this body style or the rx7 I ended up getting rx7 GEN two

I have paint chips on the hood of my car , should I sand the whole thing ☹️
LMAO first time watchin your videos.. listening carefully.. pig just comes out the blue... 🤣🤣🤣
use some krud kutter next time for your rust it removes and protects from rust, use it on my 1970 mustang and my steel tools
Thanks for the tip!
I have a ram truck im going to be wrapping but the hood has a lot of cracks how should i approach
I love how I clicked on this video for my truck and then see one like mine in the background😂

Hey man wanting to wrap my MR2 and I love this colour, have you got a link to the product you used?
T B 3m has a solid line with decent selection
Did you predict covid19 a year ago with the hint at getting a respirator?
I dont get it.
He just watched The Simpsons 👀
Can you wrap a car hood that dont have primer on it?
Is this worth it the sand just for a wrap for resale when youre not looking to put a ton of money in it to fix everything?

What’s the name and brand of the dark red colour at 3:44?
Do you have to use primer or can you wrap over the body filler?
You can’t wrap it on bondo the wrap won’t stick at all you have to deal of with primer

did u wrap it under 220grit sndpper ??
the piggy stole the show hahah omg love it
Man I got an MR2 that looks just like this but it’s black
What’s your thoughts on an old car paint in good condition with some chips in paint could I just wrap it as is?
What do you recommend if it's just light bubbles on the paint? What grit should I use for just the clear coat.
Still watching but Hamilton stole show for me 😂
Please reply lol I know it’s old video but so I’m good just doing the whole car in 220 grit? Nothing finer to make it smoother. ?
What grit did u end up using ?
My paint is like that, so i dont have to prime it before wrap just sand it smooth?
I see my man dry sanded. Is there a quick explanation as to why dry sand vs wet sand? Thanks!
As long as it’s smooth it will stick
