    My son loves your videos, and due to this video, I recently bought my son the Deathadder v2 pro, and so far, he has been stoked. I dont quite understand all the terminologies, but he says it boils down to his large hands fitting around it in a frankenstein palm-claw grip, and there apparently isnt much delay. He said thanks, but I send that to you for helping me get my son a good birthday gift. :D have a great day if you're reading this btw.

    110% Agree. Glad to see I am not the only one trying to horde this shape. Bought the razer basilisk v3 and it literally hurt my wrist. Gave my old Deathadder v2 to my son. Been on the search ever since sending the Basilisk v3 back. Not a fan of wireless mice at my desktop. I just want a solid connection I do not have to fiddle with. I didn't realize how well it fit my hand until I tried something else. I like the extra buttons as well. Wish I found this video first looks like you tried all the options for me. Interesting to note you can see the latency difference on the wireless. Maybe they are trying to appeal to a more international audience ( smaller hands ). Thanks great video. Just picked one up v2 wired for $25 bucks on ebay new 10 bucks shipping. Razor bring back the old shape for North America.

      I hear you man, I own a ton of mice and the DA V2 shape is surprisingly unique.
      The EC1-C is probably the “most similar” but it’s not really the same in the hand and for my 19.5 x 10.5 cm hands I find it to be a bit too big actually whereas the V2 is just about spot on in my case/for the grip I prefer.
      Wireless is something it took me a long time to get on board with, I was very reluctant in the past due to issues/limitations with the tech.
      The very most recent batch of wireless tech has gotten really good to such an extent that pro players are using them now, but the V2 is a bit older at this point.
      One mouse for palm grip I adore is the Logitech MX Master but sadly it’s not a good fit for gaming as it has a heinously terrible polling rate and weights a lot - it’s an office focused mouse but I do love that shape.
      If you know the DA V2 works for you you might be able to grab a wired version off EBay new or a refurbished from Amazon pretty cheap. I went with the Pro in part because I could actually find one new from Amazon and then also because the full rubber injected side plates are a big plus VS the standard unit.
      Side note the tragedy of the Zowie EC mice for me is that I love the EC2 but sadly the EC2 is a bit too small for me while the EC1 is a bit too big. If ever they make an EC1.5 / EC2L official that’ll probably be my end game.

    Please tell me you have tried the Logitech G400 / MX518? Big, ergonomic, and designed for straight-on palm grip. I have large hands and prefer my G400 over the DA and EC1/2. After 10 years, I keep going back to that mouse. Here soon I'm going to need Logi to make a 2-4k polling version though :) I'll wait

    I don't know why this is in my feed, but I liked the review lol.
    I'm perfectly fine with my Logitech MX Vertical. I got big hands, and after using one I will never go back to normal mice. Then again, I'm not trying to be an over-the-top gamer with the ultimate setup. Just a gamer who sucks at games.
    I hear people say that vertical mice aren't good for shooter games, but I think with enough time you can learn to be precise with your aim. Maybe not as much as normal wrist movement though. I think it's excellent if you only palm grip lol.

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks, I sure do wish Logi would make a gaming version of the MX Master. Some of those ergo shapes are very comfortable but are heavy and have a mere 125 Hz polling rate so not too great for gaming.
      I actually think if you like a palm / relaxed fingertip grip those ergo logi mice are perfectly fine shape wise (exceptional even), I actually think I'd switch over to them if they released one with the same shape, but a modern sensor + 4000 Hz polling + a lighter weight.
      I love me some palm grip personally. Have just never felt as comfortable with claw myself though I've made myself commit to it for week long blocks here and there. Some mice seem to definitely be "made for" a claw grip primarily from what I can tell.

      @@BlindBison i have looked around to find a way to mod the vertical. Didn't find much. On reddit one person showed one with a G304 pcb on the inside without it working. Just posted a picture and that's it. A guy in the comments of that said technically a g305 would work as well. After a lot if digging another guy said the g304 and MX Vertical use the exact same sensor, and backed it up with a some report sheet made by Logitech.
      I don't know. I originally tried to find a way to mod because I wanted a laser sensor. Can't find much. You can't even mod the skates.

    I got one of these again recently and I always seem to pop off with it even if it’s not nearly my favorite shape (claw) this might be because my friends always had DeathAdders and I’d use them whenever I’d come over. Two cons I find is that sometimes the QC is bad (I’ve had 2 bad copies and 2 good copies) and that synapse has to be running for it to save your settings.
    But yeah, enjoy!

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, it’s weird my V2s have had fairly good QC but my V3s were a crapshoot and I returned the first one I got because it had side flex and an awful side button. Still a great mouse imo and I’ve heard the newer units are more consistent apparently.

    i agree i used to have one myself and i loved it but i switched to the gpro superlight because i got in to gaming more. besides that great review

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад

      Superlight has my favorite shell material/coating -- feels really nice on your hands. I'm surprised most mice still are using the smooth gluey feeling plastic at this point as something like that goes a long way for how the mouse feels imo. Also SL has great click feel and wireless implementation.
      Depending on your hand size/grip style Superlight is a strong option. On my unit the side buttons were putrid garbage left out in the sun to rot which really bugged me. They would basically "tilt up" into the shell instead of press in, drove me nuts but that was OG Superlight, not Superlight 2 which came out recently/I haven't used the new one.

      @@BlindBison do you prefer logitech's coating or razer's coating with the coarse texture?
      Also do you have any issues with the Synapse software?

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@pineapplepizza6661 Depends on the Logi mouse. The Superlight has the nicest feeling shell material/coating I can recall where it has this soft touch rubberized feeing material I love. That said I personally prefer other shapes to the SL and the side buttons on my SL unit are really poor.
      I like the matte texturing / rubber side pieces on the DA shell quite a bit. I’m not a fan of how so many mice use this Zowie like perfectly smooth plastic with a glooey coating. Feels kinda cheap to me. That said the EC2-C is a really great mouse, one the best I’ve used overall. But it would be so much better with the Superlight shell material/coating imo.

    I prefer the clicks and side buttons on the v2 pro over the v3, feel like they're overall heavy on the v3 and more thonky if that makes sense. But i prefer the shape of the v3 though, didnt really ever like the flare on the front on the v2. But yeah, i understand what you mean about the width of the v3.

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад

      I seem to have freakishly wide hands lol - maybe that’s why the way they feel winds up being this way for me. I still think the V3 is a great mouse overall to clarify.

    I love the Deathadder. I'm still rocking my Wired Deathadder 2013 (RZ01-0084). I can't believe Razer changed the shape. I don't like the V3 for that reason.
    I do really like the Basilisk X Hyperspeed because the right mouse button is longer which fits my longer middle finger with palm grip, and it has the ledge for your thumb to rest on. But the hump is not as big so I like on the Deathadder better to fit my large hand. A Basilisk with a larger hump would be ideal for me.

    powerful bison veri good
    i happen to buy this mouse a while back I like it too. I like how it is rechargable which is why I always loved dualsense dualshock too
    it is comfortable it is good customizable. its software is fine in terms of customizability but the amount of service and process bloat razer installs alongside with made me sour from the software. thankfully I can set it up and save to device memory and get rid of the software afterwards

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I’m really glad Razer lets us uninstall the software after configuring the mouse now.
      What I usually do is keep the software installed but I turn it off/don’t set it to launch at start up then only use it if I want to change anything.

    I bought the V3 recently and I mean, for 5 more bucks which it costs here, if the V2 Pro have been a little lighter, I would have got it, but my last 3 mice were like 60-ish so I don't think I would be comfortable on this, but the shape looks better than the V3 (I've never own a DeathAdder prior, so idk)

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  7 месяцев назад +1

      Depends on hand size and how you hold the mouse I think. Specifically for a palm/relaxed fingertip grip I have a preference for the V2 but if one has smaller or less wide hands than I do or uses a different grip type the V3 very well may be more comfortable for you. I also think it’s hard to reach the furthered forward side button on the V2 compared to the V3 with the grip type I use.
      The V3 is a good mouse, but I think it falls short of its potential in a number of ways (I made a video on that just recently actually). Hope you enjoy your V3! In some ways it’s excellent and generally it’s reviewed quite well.

      Nailed it with the naming approach mate. Yeah, a lotta people love the V3. For me I prefer the EC2-C and the V2 shapes overall, but for claw I really like the V3. It’s a great mouse but the shape is very very different to the V2.

    Bought the DA V3 months ago and returned it immediatly.
    It literally feels like a toy : smooth plastic, no RGB, awful looks...
    They killed the OG DA because of the "lightweight pro esport bullshit mouse marketing trend". Like people wake up...
    So, playing with a 100g mouse means that you're bad ?
    I'm playing with a Basilisk v3 (104g) and i play wonderfuly on all my games (including FPS)

    How do the curves copare to a viper ultimate? Tried so many mice and for some reason nothing matches the aggressivness of both the front and back flare curvature while still being fairly straight, not round.

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  7 месяцев назад

      The DA V2 and V3 are very different to the Viper shape.
      DA’s are asymmetrical ergos and are larger than the Viper iirc. I don’t own a Viper sadly but if you take a look at the RTNGS shape compare tool you should be able to see how they differ. I held my buddies Viper and for me it was too small I felt for palm but I have fairly large/wide hands.

  • @DrR1pper
    @DrR1pper 3 месяца назад

    V3 is too narrow. Nothing beats the V2 and earlier models from ergonomic perspective for me too. I wouldn't even consider the V3 a deathadder anymore.

  • @jebusglatze1285

    The rubberised side grips are actually why this mouse is bad. I loved my V2, best mouse i ever had, dont get me wrong there, the rubber feels soo good, but it wears off so quickly and you cant fix it. (If someone knows where the get a replacement 3D printed shell without rubber, pls tell me) In only 3 months you will notice the first wear on it and after a year there will be a "flat hole" in the rubber. Totally ruins this mouse and is the reason i would suggest you getting the V2 Hyperspeed because it has no rubber, but its plastic shell is very grippy, feels like a pbt keycap on a keyboard.

    DeathAdder V2 Pro or logitech super ligth?

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  8 месяцев назад +1

      Well, those are very different mice. The shapes are totally different. Superlight is smaller and symmetrical whereas DA V2 is big and ergo shaped. Overall both are good mice in my estimation.
      How big are your hands? For me I prefer the shape of the V2 to the SL but for claw grip or other factors like click feel/weight/shell material and coating I like the SL a lot. Side buttons are awful on my SL though.
      There also might be a price difference to consider.

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  7 месяцев назад +1

      If you’re still considering this choice you could take a look at the RTNGS shape compare tool. Another option to consider if you want a smaller ergo would be the EC2-CW.
