  • Not a vlog, no intrusive faces or talking, pure Japan only.
On the way to Hiroshima I stopped at Mihara station for Rabbits island nearby. Train line going to the pier was stopped because of some issues and I had to go by bus which took longer than I expected but finally I got to island.
I tried to do drone trick again in the beginning and in the end. View around the island is much better than cats island.
If you come in summer you can easily swim in the sea, there are few nice beaches.
Don't forget to buy some rabbits food before coming here as I could not find any around.
I did not go to gas factory museum because it was crowded and I was not sure if it's OK to film inside.
    Map www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/vie...
    Time 11/03 around 1pm
    Filmed in UltraHD 4K 60p with Lumix GH5 camera, 8-18 f2.8-4 lens, Beholder EC1 stabilizer and Audio-Technica AT9946CM mic.
Feel free to correct my English or suggest a video to film.

Spectacular opening shot worthy of a tv documentary or opening titles of a movie. Transition from drone to gimbal was very clever. As an ex film cameraman I salute you!

Each video by Rambalac is a trip full of surprises, a journey where we know a Japan that only the Japanese really know. This island is another place that we discovered and got to know together with Rambalac. An island with many rabbits and a amazing view!

    Bravo!!! Rambalac !!!
I congratulate you!!! all the video is very beautiful but the ending is Sublime !!! that range of blues, celestial, green emeralds of the sea and all the natural frame as oriental as painted in silks and ink should be a wonderful feeling to be in contact with nature in that part of our beloved Planet so special and unique that is Japan .... Thank you very much for sharing so much beauty with us ... you always surprise us pleasantly ♡ :-))

    Bye Bye Rabbits Island !
the last images of the drone are sublime: a balance between the land, the sea and the sky!
the attitude of rabbits to humans is just exquisite: it's their home and humans come to visit them ...
all these islands are almost alike ... I understand why despite its 128 million inhabitants and a little more Japan never gives the impression of being overcrowded ...

The drone makes the island look smaller than it is, and the GH5 makes it look bigger at times. Not complaining! :' ) Great footage of the lighthouse in the beginning! I think the cats, deer and bunnies are all used to tourists!

Fun fact: This island was know for making poison gas experiments during WW2. They used rabbits but all those rabbits died. Later replaced by a European variety by accident. It’s a nice place to kill time but you can see all of it in an hour. I recommend to go during the spring, more rabbits around.

@Phil Ster The DNA from the rabbits found now does not match those of the ones used years ago.

It is not very easy to get to Okunoshima. Unless you are driving on yourself, you need to match the ferry, train or bus time carefully. It may need to wait at least 1 - 2 hours if a train or bus is missed. Nevertheless, the Island is a dramatic place and you will be therapized in there. The Usagi are clean and their hair is smooth. I will never forget how they come to me and looking for food. It is the best combo for Okunoshima and cycling in Shimanami Kaido. You can take the ferry in Sakari, Omishima without worrying about the transportation problem. Be reminded that there is no food for Usagi sold on the Island, you will need to buy it outside the Island.

If you haven't done so already, a ramble through Mihara might be interesting. There is Sakura-yama (183 meters elevation); the site of the former castle; and an old 商店街 area that has some attractive wooden buildings.
