Jakks needs to get the Crash license. Their figures would look a lot better and there would be more characters. I'd also love to see them get the license to make Spyro figures. It's a crime that there's never been a full Spyro toyline. Of course, that couldn't happen until or unless Spyro becomes relevant again.
Import Dragons/Head Start has shown they have the glacial pace of Jazwares’ Sonic line when it comes to adding new characters.
And yeah, I’d love for the Crash 1-CTR cast plus others on a display. Classic Tawna, Pinstripe, a more Crash 1-3 Era Crash, Crash 2-Warped N. Gin, etc.
“This Coco seem so uninteresting.” That could sum up a lot of Crash 4’s script actually. A lot of characters are either flanderised or just lacking what they had from prior games including Coco just not having the endearing qualities from N. Sane Trilogy that carried over to Nitro-Fuelled and it’s take on Tawna having the personality of dishwater that makes her look dull next to everyone else and being unironically cliched without any charm to make it worthwhile; a sin for a Crash Bandicoot character.
Coco missing her sass and spunk. Crash 4 Coco looks bland and doesn’t stand out if you place with any other figurine.
Otako figure or Coco has appeal and charm.
My dad who remembers the Crash hype in 2000s but never played the games..took a liking to the Coco Otako figure cause he said she was cute and had style and looked like a cool character.
He said same about my Crash and cortex otaku figure.
@@keeferkifflom360 It’s like the problem Marvel Legends figures would have where the faces either convey much expression or it’s too specific for what you need. Even some Transformers Generations figures has an issue with conveying a personality including Legacy Silverbolt who’s got a stern, serious face that looks good but a more cheerful one goes a long way to give the figure some life.
The Jakks Sonics does a good job of giving the characters the appropriate expression that matches who they are. Blaze’s neutral mouth look would appear plain on a lesser figure but just the way they did it gives it personality befitting her.
You're not alone; I just recently watched a video where another collector reviewed the same 4-pack, and was disappointed with the expressions. The rest of the video was actually about customizing the faces to give them new expressions! Also, the reviewer suggested using the gold Crash as "an imaginary 'Smash Bros.' trophy". XD
The individual packs come with a different mask each, only one they dont have is Lani-Loli
As for their overall look; the characters were all redesigned a few games ago, so the figures are actually quite accurate. And the figure-quality is actually pretty nice compared to the other versions; my Resaurus figures were ALWAYS breaking, and the paint was really dull. And the NECA figure was very stiff. Like with Jakks' Sonic, I still have my complaints, but they're pretty much the best of all worlds. =)

All this line needed was full range thigh joints. Why leave it at just the shoulders?

Universal studios has much better Crash merch.
Once upon a time Sonic and Crash had same merchandise manufacturers in 90s and 00s.
Now activision with their cheap asses settle for third hand companies no one heard of to make Crash merch.
All the Crash stuff today looks like bootlegs..Only the funko pops look decent.
Otako figures are so awesome,they capture the characters so well. Almost as if they should go back to the remake art style.
