Hey took 20 min now my horn and all controls work again , thanks you help a guy out in Puerto Rico, when taking it somewhere would likely be a pain in the ass 💪🏻🇺🇲🇵🇷😉⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Glad I could help
Just wanted to stop and say that this video is still doing the Lord's work 😄😄 Grabbed a clockspring from eBay, followed your perfect instructions and now my steering wheel controls are back from the dead! Thanks for taking the time to share the info, and thanks for giving me the opportunity to give the middle to the dealership and their $800+ estimates. 👍🏽👍🏽
Happy to hear that the video was helpful and able to save you money! Dealerships are always ridiculous… 👍
Thanks, my man! This video explains this procedure to perfection! God bless you for putting this on RUclips.
Because of this video, I also figured out why my 4Runner's horn stopped working in the straight position, but works fine if the steering wheel is turned. Why or how the clock spring stopped working on both vehicles around the same time beats me. But thanks to this video, I know what to fix now.👍
You’re welcome! Thank you for the comment🙂 I’m glad I could help you out! I also own a 4runner now too! Much better than a Hyundai lol
@sethreisinger6723 watch out for the clock spring in that one. Apparently, it's a pretty common issue with those 5th gen 4Runners.
@@Adrianob83 will do, thanks!
thank you so much, Seth! My wife is so happy to have her cruise control back.
Glad to hear it!
Yay! Thank you so much for posting this! I've surely missed using all of my steering wheel controls.
Of course I’m glad I could help! I’m sure you have, it was getting annoying to me as well lol!
Thank you, used this to fix my 2013 Veloster
Thanks for the video, made this easy to fix and it fixed the airbag warning light including my cruise control n trip/reset buttons on right side of steering wheel 😎👍
Glad I could help you out man. Thanks for the comment!
Excellent, just what I needed to change it in my Veloster. Thank you!
You’re welcome!! Thanks for the feedback
@@sethreisinger6723could you please send me a link where you found the part? I bought one online and did not fit my car (Veloster Turbo 2015)

@@oscardanielrendonnaranjo7248 this is the one I bought but I’m not sure if it’s the same for your model of not. I had a 2013 base model Veloster.
@@sethreisinger6723 Thank you, apparently the one for the base model does not fit the Turbo model.. That is why the one I bought did not fit my car
Thanks! that was a great video. Now i can do it myself. Dealer wants hundreds tp do
Yeah haha it’s not worth that at all
Thank you . Just fixed mine . Great video
Glad I could help!
Thanks i just replaced mine right now, easy fix
Good I’m glad it helped!
tkss
Looks easy! Thanks man!
Ofc! Glad I could help!
My stero cuts in and out when i honk the horn. Could it be related to the clock spring?
Hey Seth, great video man.
But I was wondering if all of your buttons on the steering wheel stopped working, or if only a few of them?
Trying to confirm that it's my clock spring before replacing it
Sorry for the late reply. It was mainly all the buttons besides the cruise control buttons.
Would you recommend a good seller for the clock spring? I was recommend ebay and such since all the ships even the scrap yards want 100+ and or making you buy the whole column.
I found it on eBay for like $20. Just look up the clock-spring and hopefully you’ll find it
Great video man! Were all of your buttons not working ? Or just some ? What about your horn ?
Thank you! Just the volume/channel controls and cruise control buttons. The horn still worked.
On my 2012 n/a V, the volume up button doesn’t work but everything else does, including volume down on the same button. Pushing it at weird angles can sometimes cause the button to work for that single press but it can also cause the volume to lower when pushed up instead. Anything similar happen with yours (or any bodies here)? Wondering if I need to try this fix or if it’s more of an electrical problem
Yeah that was happening to me too. That’s another one of the reasons I replaced the clock spring. It sounds like you also could possibly have a fucked up wire but I’m not shre
Great video helped alot !!1
Thank you!
How much did you have undo the torx screws cause I’ve been going at it for a while and my airbag still won’t pop out
They’re a little tough sometimes. Play around with it but you might need a magnet to move the screw back out of a slot it’s in!
@@sethreisinger6723 got it all fixed up I wound up gently pulling as I was unscrewing and it came right off. Got the new part on and the airbag light went off, and now my controls all work as they should. Thanks for the help!
@@noahmayberry9576 awesome good job!
Shake it while turning , I just got mine done , took me a minute to figure out but once it's done it's a breeze 💪🏻💪🏻💯🇺🇲🇵🇷
