The first dress looked the best because it was designed to flatter a plus woman with a lower neckline to elongate the neck, sheer sleeves to cover the arms & fitted at the waist which is the smallest part of the body. Whereas the other dress styles suit slimmer woman but were just made in larger sizes hence why they were ill fitting & didn’t suit their shapes. It was surprising that the models didn’t have on better undergarments that would’ve smoothed out the lumps & bumps.
Greatest tip I can give as a bridal seamstress is to choose sleeves that are sheer and have very very little detail on the forearms and wrists. Otherwise they blend in with the bodice and totally loses any waist shape and looks much bigger.
There is a David's bridal near me. I love the first dress and the short dress with sleeves. The short dress can be for the reception. 😍 I can't wait to go dress shopping!
Budget Nest Me and my two best friends got our dresses at David’s Bridal. We’re all different sizes (I’m plus size) and we found our perfect dresses there....David’s is reasonably priced too!
4:35 She actually said "What happens when you aren't a sample size? When you walk in and you're a 10." Holy crap. So now a size 10 is made to feel overweight???
I loved the first dress and the fourth one,but I did notice that none of these ladies are truly BIG women, I do find this so annoying. It is the same with catalogues, hardly anything is modeled by big women,so if you are a very big lady, you do not get a true idea of how the dresses will look on you.
None of these women were a size 10 to me they look firmly within the plus size range. There is a range of plus size, just as with misses and petite. I think they show a range of body types and they're all lovely.
I too would like to know how the knock off looked. I order the one from davids bridal, but im looking at the website you linked and i might get y second dress from there.
David bridal fabric is so cheap looking and feel. None of my girls would I have suggested. 1 bought hers Toronto n my other ordered online. Fit her beautiful.
I think they look low rent. Dress 2 is cheap fabric. Too boring. Dress one was really pretty but sleeves too short and her bra showed in back. None of them have any structure underneath. I made and altered bridal dresses so I do know what I am talking about.
The second and last dress speaks to complete incompetence as a bridal consultant. Back fat spilling out over the top of the dress is never a good look, and should never be tried on much less show up at the wedding. Just hideous.
The first dress is very nice. But those of us with large bosoms need to wear bras, and the sheer back would certainly be a challenge in that situation. In my opinion, strapless gowns are not always flattering. Those gowns often need to squeeze the woman’s torso, and can give her back-rolls even if she is not particularly overweight. The third dress is nice, too.
I literally hated everything lol like no offense to the people who did like them but as a plus size woman none of these options looked appealing to me, and not only that they were just plain boring in design (like most plus size fashion). I'm not saying bedazzle and look naked but there was no creativity that we see in regular sizing. I understand they were only showing off styles of dress, but I mean this was probably their best options and that's kinda sad.
Apart from the 1st dress the rest were horrible! Didn’t fit well any of the women, specially the 3rd had no structure in the waist and emphasised her stomach what the hell!
Im confused. Why in the US (and Canada apparently ), fat women are called "Curvy"? To me, curvy is someone whose body is curvaceous such as Beyonce or Marilyn Monroe. Note to fat women : never ever wear strapless dress coz your back fat and upper body fat will spill out of the dress.

bellabana yes, i feel like they didn’t give them the best underwear to flatter their shapes and hide the bumps etc
Well said
The first dress featured was the best.
The first dress was a WOW! Sooo tired of seeing everything strapless, backless, frontless, almost nakedness...
Ha Ha, same
Yes I also feel like that's what's trending now the sheer long sleeve sooo pretty!!
That’s the dress I decided on for my wedding but I added a huge hoop skirt and let me say! It is a vintage feeling princess gown
notconvincedgranny looks like my wedding dress for April
Absolutely!

I liked the 1st dress the best!
WoW the first girl looks like a plus size Beyonce!
She does look like her
the 1st and 4th dress we’re actually stunning
Love the first one...
Only first one flattering
The first dress 😭😭
That’s my dream dress
One of the best videos I've seen showing curvy brides in different dress silhouettes

I love the first one
I definitely want Sleeves
Beautiful!! ,I hope I'm.gonna wearing a wedding gown pretty soon.
I love how even in 2020 people larger than a size 6 isn't simply just a "bride", they're a "curvy bride".
4:35 She actually said "What happens when you aren't a sample size? When you walk in and you're a 10." Holy crap. So now a size 10 is made to feel overweight???
Because when you go wedding dress shopping plus sizes starts at size 10
@@ladydie1234 wow that’s ridiculous
Exactly! Smh...
😍 the first the mini is nice too, I think the model made the dresses.
She is a stunning girl n the dress is beautiful too,
Reminds me of mad TV skit back in the day 😁
I wouldn't pick the flairy one bcuz I think it makes your hips look even bigger than they are but they are all lovely
The first one and the last one 😍😍😍😍
All dresses are beautiful
Beautifull dresses very stanning i lov them
Bras. All these ladies need proper bras in those dresses.
I loved the first dress and the fourth one,but I did notice that none of these ladies are truly BIG women, I do find this so annoying. It is the same with catalogues, hardly anything is modeled by big women,so if you are a very big lady, you do not get a true idea of how the dresses will look on you.
I think the first dress would look good on a larger woman or a slim woman. It is just a very nicely designed dress.
The first dress is the kind of dress I dream about, just less poof but wooow me loove! I'm going to america to buy my wedding dress 😂
Does anybody knows where to get the first dress shown?
the 3rd dress the girl was so pretty but she wasnt snatched in
Blessings blessings and beautiful blessed
Gabby got the best Dresses...
Not impressed!!!! I want a show stopper...
I don't think these brides were really that plus size, a size 10, plus size???? I think that as a plus size woman, I would never wear a mermaid style.

I feel like I need to see the girls how they look in normal day to day clothes to decide how much I like the dresses on them...
If anyone is curious what the first one is. It's Galina signature sw820. I'm ordering a knock off from marryingdress.com! Wish me luck
Hey, how did it go? Was the knock off good?
I too would like to know how the knock off looked. I order the one from davids bridal, but im looking at the website you linked and i might get y second dress from there.
Normally I'm a size ten dress, but in wedding dresses, I'm a size 16!
i love a tall female and curvy since im 5"11 but wear a size 12 i need help
David bridal fabric is so cheap looking and feel. None of my girls would I have suggested. 1 bought hers Toronto n my other ordered online. Fit her beautiful.
I think all the dresses were nice ....real women .....go girls.....
Don't think these lovely ladies were given the best advice.
No to all: too sheer, low-cut, short and/or exposed. #1 & #3 you could see through the gowns. ☹️😕😟
Agreed these are all horrible

The mermaid is really taking all her curves away. What an awful cut and shape.

Yikes last dress way too tight
I am not curvy I have a huge gut? What dress is good for that?
Same here, have stomach bloat. I think a vintage skater dress might be best
We owe I like it
As a designer the sleeveless and the tubes for plus sizes are no no for wedding dresses. The ist one is great
Apart from the 1st dress the rest were horrible! Didn’t fit well any of the women, specially the 3rd had no structure in the waist and emphasised her stomach what the hell!
Ra Clarke I saw that too! She needed a girdle which would have provided the structure.
At this point I think it's time for me to just lose weight
#1
Not a fan of any of these but oh my the mermaid one is horrible... no “curvy” woman would want to wear this.
Yuk dress no 3 horrible
How about some serious plus size models here I'm sorry a size 12 I don't consider plus size
Stuffed sausages come to mind!
dress 2 - ok
All of these dresses looked cheap and ill fitting.
the first dress - wearing a bra with the shear through dress a no no
The mermaid dress looked cheap

I wouldn't buy a David's dress no representations of diversity, or inclusivity. Where are the black, asian, latina women?
the last one was horrid..they others were cute but a bit unflattering
Waaayyyy too unflattering.
4 dresses that accentuated the stomach, hideous.
Guess I am odd man out but I hate the first dress. None were flattering to these women.
First one was the best. The mermaid one and last one looked strange.
The third dress looked ugly as well an didn't suit the girl at all...
I don’t like any of these
Omg these dresses look worse each time they com out...yukkkkk
Ikr..
these are awful! very ill fitted
Who would trust a designer/ boutique owner that looks like a 65 year old from the 80’ ?
