I think you are right on point and exactly what I had in my notes while watching the show Live. Although her answer to the question was inspiring, it did not talk about bridging the gap, etc. Glad to know my mindset (as I am an avid pageant watcher) is in the right place with someone like you! Keep doing what you're doing! It's awesome!
Gday Luis base on how Ms Michigan answer her final Q&A I was actually waiting for her answer to the question. She elaborated so much about what she is and her entire background. But where is the answer to her final question about how can you breach the gap between different Cultures? For me it’s NOT enough. But she was lucky that night.
I honestly didn’t like her answer, it was almost word for word what she said during the final look, just expanded. So she probably had that monologue memorized and it didn’t have relevance to the question. Looks wise and runway performance wise however, I think she’s the best choice to compete in Miss Universe against international competitors, but she needs to work on answering more candidly, authentically, and accurately. Was very delighted with how strong some contestants were overall. The show on the other hand was so dry and bare.
I agree. I think only Oklahoma really answered the question directly. The good news is that Michigan is very articulate and candid in her post-victory interviews. She needs to bring that side of her at Miss Universe and not sound like a robotic Miss America contestant.
My issue is that she did not answer the question and that was a big let down because she is an amazing speaker but she has a few months to learn to answer questions and be calm
Hello Luis, Alma reminded me of Katrina Dimaranan during the introduction. I think she's not able to answer the question directly. But presenting herself as a product of different cultures but was able to leave her American dream is enough proof that cultural gaps can be bridged.
It’s funny because the flag swimsuit is ~techncially~ illegal … it goes against the flag code lol. But it is super common here in spite of that. It’s just funny to me that it’s so common, but they haven’t changed the flag code lol
This is reminiscent of 1993 where Kenya Summer Moore of Michigan also won Miss USA and sent to Mexico for Miss Universe 1993 won by Dayanara Torres of Puerto Rico. Kenya was booed badly also in Mexico though not as bad as Rachel (TN) in 2007.
It’s against the code in the USA to wear our flag as part of clothing. The US has a flag code and those swimsuits absolutely violate that. But that’s not something that’s enforced here really. America is also about capitalism, and stars on a bikini sell.
For me she is a decent candidate for MU her walk is good but the thing is it's very miss USA presentation nothing new or extraordinary and if we dive into her EG performance its not exciting, there were certain arms and body position which are not entirely smooth. Now there's still time for improvement so we will have to see.
Strong performance BUT, we can easily forget about her , She didn't leave something memorable for the audience unlike Catriona walks, pia hearts, Chelsea a woman of color etc.
Assuming the same competition format is used in 2024 as in 2023. she may make the first cut, but will probably not move on beyond that, as I see all the other countries, like the non sash ones, embolden by Nicaragua's win, really stepping up their game.
MU USA is a Half Filipino & Half African American so will she become a threat to our favorite Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines? Let's see what she can deliver in the coming months.

Alma does look like Crystle sometimes,we did notice it!She's lovely,I wasn't expecting her to win but I really like her.
I love Alma she is beautiful
Thank You 🙏
For all your work
Luis.. I just love how you break things down. Seriously 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
Thank you so much 🫶🏼💖

Agreed.
She may not given the best answer, but were the other's answers that much better to convince the judges to vote for them?

I got the Krystle Stewart vibe. She's lovely but I don't see her making the top 5 at MU.
Not even top 19
My issue is that she did not answer the question and that was a big let down because she is an amazing speaker but she has a few months to learn to answer questions and be calm
What happened to Texas? Are you going to analyse her performance too?
I thought that Texas was beautiful!
Miss Kentucky yellow evening gown was beautiful.
She was the only contestant from a state that have not won yet in the semi-finalls.
@@PungiFungiYes you are correct Colorado has never won, I realized now that Kentucky had the yellow gown.
Yes a contender.
For now: Venezuela, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Chile, Ecuador top five
In my top 10: Peru, USA, Thailand, Zimbabwe, Great Britain

Hey Luis can u recap ms grand india happening first time 11 August pls❤😢
Grand finale 8pm .at 11th August
Nah, Crystle is prettier.
they did the MUPH strategy.
Which is.... What?
Chelsea Manalo is truly deserving
She's a REAL contender!
@@Tc-ih8zj Chelsea is an Black Asian similar to Afro latina.
@luis she resembles Chelsea and gives Tara essence from muph
You talked about the resemblance. If I knew nothing, I would have thought the winner is Miss Venezuela.
It’s funny because the flag swimsuit is ~techncially~ illegal … it goes against the flag code lol. But it is super common here in spite of that. It’s just funny to me that it’s so common, but they haven’t changed the flag code lol
Can you make a reaction video of Rbonney's interview with ToniTalks?. Thank u ❤

I love how she incorporate her achievements to her answer. SS and EG was amazingly spectacular.
I thought she was half Filipina but I heard her answer again it was AFRO-LATINA-WOMAN

For me, she bears a slight resemblance to Noelia Voigt.
Nako baka miss universe usa. Ang manalo ngayon taon na ito....wow second lieutenant
they have the same smile. crystel stewart.

Her performance was decent.
I don’t think she answered the question.
Too short for my liking for a beauty queen.
And her mouth is distracting.
Tennessee swim walk was horrible, she should not have advanced into the top 10..
I hate the new crown
She has a sexy look 😁
Hanep sa LIPS!
SO TEM DENTE ESSE MISS USA
Strong performance BUT, we can easily forget about her , She didn't leave something memorable for the audience unlike Catriona walks, pia hearts, Chelsea a woman of color etc.
Miss universe Bonnie Gabriel 2022 is half American half pinay miss usa 2024 she is beautiful smart Las Vegas mabuhay
I would have preferred Miss Maryland winning.
is the new miss usa crown, mouwad?
No. It’s Ricardo Patraca. It’s weird that they didn’t include any kind of segment mentioning the new crown.
She said afro latina they just misheard as half filipina!🤣
clearly she said- 'afro-filipino woman'
the new crown looks so cheap
miss Nevada Najah Ali could've been the
perfect choice to compete for miss Universe 👑💯 she's photogenic BUT she did Not advanced to the next round
i like her but she is not top 5 in MU 2024

👎
Hope she speaks Spanish. It might help her when competing in Mexico, in terms of crowd support. Top 10 likely.
Another fil-am winner like rbonney
SHE IS HALF FILIPINO. AMAZING. FILIPINAS ARE BEAUTIFUL
Afro latina not half Filipina!
ha ha ha half what ?? ha ha ha
MU USA is a Half Filipino & Half African American so will she become a threat to our favorite Chelsea Manalo of the Philippines? Let's see what she can deliver in the coming months.
Miss USA is half Mexican, not Filipino.
You are deaf!
