Bicolline 2023 Tuesday Fort Battle: Part 3 Defending

- This is part 3 of the Tuesday Fort Battle. While i was talking to my Mother who loves watching my videos but has never been to something like this she gave me the idea to show the fort before hand and describe the objectives and rules of this type of Fort battle.
So as you might guess the Fort battles have a defending and an attacking side. There are about 6 bouts so each side has a chance to attack and defend 3 times each. Unfortunately I only have footage of the first 5!
The defending side has multiple Blue Full Size flags placed around the inside of the fort. each one of these flags has a Game Warden that is watching and timing how long the Flags are defended. The attacking side MUST remove the flags from the posts in order to stop the timers. Yes the flag can be surrounded by the enemy but if it is still up it is still giving us time points. Once all the flags are removed then the Game Wardens blow the horns and the bout is over. Then attackers and defenders switch sides and go at it again after a small break!!
Keep an eye out in the video where i point out a couple of these flags and you can see the attacking side take one and throw it on the ground at one point.

Modifying your shield wall placement definitely seemed to help your defense. Militum had the other corner and made similar adjustments in Round 3 and held almost the entire battle.
We fought each other on the last day, and after my squad rolled through and killed all the guys you were with I dapped you up bc you fought hard. Made for one of my more memorable encounters all week HAHA@@TallianAdventures

Actually to be more precise on the 'blind hit'... it's just to put more safety in the fight.
You cant really know where you hit, and may injure the person on the other side...so it's better to just avoid it
On another note... I just remembered that I was the one to remove the last flag on the far left side (yours) of the fort for us to win.
I love fighting at Bico ... and, I kind to can't get over the fact that I go there since '98 0o

I didnt realize you said you have been going to Bicolline since 98!!! thats amazing. I wish i had discovered Bico a long time ago but i was always so broke back then that i would not have been able to go anyways!!

The enemy guys with the blue Scutums seemed tougher to deal with, they seemed to lead alot of pushes.
You are definitely not wrong! I run into them in the Grand Battle Videos i have as well. They are really good!

Is it just one hit and you’re out? I feel like the ones who wear heavy armor should be able to take more hits. Real plate armor is extremely difficult to penetrate.
It's only one hit and you are dead if you don't have any armor. Hard leather and Mail give you one extra hit and plate gives you two. I honestly think plate should give like 3 to five extra points.
V interesting watch. Though regarding the comments, yeh I'd agree that plate armour should get more hits, but they should be penalized aswell. Otherwise everyone would be wearing it.
Like making so plate wearers can't go faster than walking...or are not allowed to move backwards. Has to be some downside to wearing it
@@Ballroot84 the downside is already built into it lol. Harder to move around, heavier.

There a few different options!!! but one of the best for first timers is a company called THE VOYAGE NORTH. they can be a little expensive so there are other options as well!!

It is! This is a week long and is held in Quebec Canada every August! Its called Bicolline! You should watch some of my "walk" videos and check out the medieval towns!

Good question!! There are a few different ways to go to Bicolline. What I do is I pay for a travel package that takes care of a large amount of the logistics that are hard to deal with. There are a few other less established guilds that are doing a similar thing and are less expensive. The company I use is called The Voyage North and can be a little expensive but it is worth it in my opinion. If you end up going through The Voyage North let them know I sent you!! If they are a little to expensive I can give you info on some other options as well! Thanks for watching!
