Silencing loud things (part 1)

- I´m building a soundproof enclosure for a good but noisy shop vac, including a soundproofed ventilation. The concepts of isolating and dampening noise may be applied to other use cases too, e. g. compressors, generators, computers, even drums and musical instruments, if you build the enclosure bigger (and add a door and a window).

Dude part 2!!!
Very cool, looking forward for part 2!
It will be really interesting to see how this works out. Dennis, from the RUclips channel 'Hooked on Wood' has developed a really effective solution to this problem. If I remember correctly he was also using the same vacuum system as yourself. Keep up the great work.
Cool Video!
In my opinion noisereduction is a very underrepresented field on RUclips and a very underestimated in general.
Keep on the good work :)

Thanks, Grüße zurück
what happened to part 2?
Great video - very interested to see part 2. What kind of room is your workshop in?
Hey thanks. This small workshop is in the basement of our house, next to the garage.
Great video, when will part 2 be out?
Don’t know exactly when, but I’ll definitely be completing it
@@tims.2832 i look forward to seeing it if you do
I’m actually working on it right now…there’s a lot of research involved since the damping is happening in this second phase.
How's the finger? Looked painful.
I’m fine again, thanks 😊
We need part 2 🤞👍
just resumed work on this project, I’m currently building the outer box. The silencer for the outlets will be next. Looks great so far
Brilliant! Looking forward to the next video about this 👍
Still looking forward to part 2 😉👍
I have the same extractor and find that using the exhaust pipes quietens it down considerably and would work out cheaper than this too, you only need to buy one and cut it in half. Talk about over engineered project that wasn't actually needed.
Netter Anfang, wo bleibt der zweite Teil ?! 😂
Ist in der Fertigung
