I can't believe you thought the rear differential was a more important feature than the 8 speed transmission. That's what Lego gets for sending this to guys who predominantly do system sets. The key with the transmission being visible this time is to be able to see it work through the shifts. In the GT3 and the Chiron, we did all the work to build those transmissions then they got completely covered up. If you connect a motor to the transmission and shift through the gears, you'll gain a better appreciation for all that work.
James Hannah Absolutely!! He messed up the start, why would you even include it, additionally why would you unbox it incorrectly a second time and reveal the instructions Books upside down.
At least in this model the gear box actually works and effects the engine. In the chiron it worked, but did not effect anything at all. So, big improvement there. + We get to see it. Though I did not like the huge pre produced frame which contains all the gears. I do think Lego really listens to us.
I have the corvette for 50 the Land Rover for 200 the Bugatti for 375 I can’t wait to get my hands on this the only car I’m missing is the 2016 orange Porsche which I really want
Great video review. Personally, I really love this set. I think that Lego did an amazing job with the set. It really stands out from the other cars. It looks really good in person. The price could have been slightly cheaper, lol. Besides that the Lamborghini looks awesome and I am very pleased with the results. I hope that Lego does the Ferrari next.
@@IshaanTS I understood that you put in the electric motor instead of the engine. The transmission would be too weak and have too much resistance to work this way.
Tip for close ups in future reviews. Zoom in first, then adjust focus. From that point on you'll be in focus no matter the focal length. Also, the unboxing experience for me was completely ruined by opening it upside down. Even on the second attempt, the manuals were upside down. Other than that, it was an OK review..
This, just look at the rear wing in the video and you can see like 30 different shades of green and not a single unified color. This is a near 400€ set so why is the quality so poor? Also its the wrong color, the Land Rover Defender set has the correct olive green color so why couldn´t they use it here? The Land Rover Defender also had the tan leather interior and they even show this in the instructions book for the Sian but they use the same green instead ...
Product quality is just embarassing. Having this many different lime-tones on so many bricks for this completely out-of-the-usual price is just ridiculous. Lego made many faults in the past 5 years but it never lacked in pure quality. But this is just Xing-Bao-like for Lego pricing.
I have to agree. The instructions on this model suck compared to the Porsche and Bugatti and there's so many pieces that easily detach, plus there are errors in the directions. You constantly have to rotate and flip and it doesn't feel completely finished with the gaps and flimsy lights in front. The color sucks and for $380, just buy the Liehberr excavator for $450 that actually does a ton of cool stuff.
You forgot to mention that once u open the box the box mimics the hood of the car and when u one the good the Baja k little boxes resemble the engine of the car
Dude is gifted such an expensive set like this and doesn't even realize he had it upside down. How many sets have you opened? I'll assume hundreds. How many of those sets had the top box smaller than the bottom box? I'll tell you - zero. That's how the universe operates.
Mind you that most lego boxes are opened at the side.Only the premium sets like the Bugatti and the Sian have these kind of box.But I agree...to open that box upside down was pretty dumb.

I haven´t watched the video yet but apparently the set has some quality issues with the green color not beeing unified among the bricks. I´d watch a few other videos too to get more oppinions on it. The frog-green is the wrong color for the car they tried to depict, but what is even funnier is that they can do the correct color as their own Land Rover Defender set uses the correct olive green. @@pl4free Well, these sets do seem to be marketed towards adults into model-building, but over ninety percent of the build is technic brick (and not just panels, the under-structure is mostly regular beams), there is a complete gear--box made using Lego gears that you have to assemble yourself, and the box says 'technic' on it. Good review. I don‘t like the color of the tail lights. That should be more like a transparent red piece. Some parts of the green pieces differ a lot. You could send Lego an email and complain about the quality of the parts. Then they will hopefully send you the parts in the correct green color. We have to see how long this process will take. Quality was normally never a problem for Lego. Keep up the good work. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
It would be cool if this car had many servos to make all the moving parts work, Like lifting the spoilers, open the doors, even make it run like an RC car
What about the "lime green issue"? Mine have a lot of different green tones in lots of components! And the set is very expensive to have this kind of issue... Don't you think?
Recently bought this set but was disappointed it was missing 7 vital parts which I had to send off for. This made the build over three weeks whilst waiting for the parts to be delivered. Is this normal for a set of this price?
own it. Bag four of the set came with lots of missing parts which is bad since bag 4 builds the back. all of the missing parts are in lime green. I tried to re-order them but my order could not be fulfilled so I contacted them. It will take at the most 10 days for a response. Really disappointed with quality control. Also set came with extra parts as well.
The gear box would have an impact the piston speed, IF you could see the pistons!! you should see them, change in speed reflective to what gear you choose and the Chiron was 4wd as well...
