Right Shoulder Toss Reversal
1) Right Shoulder Arms, rifle positioning determines overall strength & cleanliness.
2) Drop right arm & forward, swivel two fingers to front of stock, simultaneously meet rifle with left hand below sling swivel w/arm positioned at 45 across body
3) Extend right arm straight up & pull straight backward w/fingers engaging toss. Aim rifle behind double Right Shoulder Toss, less force than typical toss; goal-under-rotate weapon.
4) Cut hands cleanly to seam of trousers.
5) Reach upward with right arm & forcibly grasp weapon above sling swivel, push hand forward through rifle to change travel direction & reverse its spin.
6) Pull arm downward & allow rifle barrel to travel inside forearm, allow wrist to bend loosely & facilitate motion, imagine motion of swinging rope backwards at side.
7) Left hand reaches up, grasp rifle at small of stock, complete movement; rifle will not be level, raise right arm slightly above left to avoid a slanted finishing position.
Tips:
Movement can be very fluid or very harsh, throw rifle slightly backward & slowing, overall rotation will help ease force of catch as attempt to change direction of motion.
Be sure that wrist is flexible & loose throughout reversal of weapon. I utilize my thumb & index fingers while simply allowing others to guide weapon around. jrotcdrillteam...
