    vid is immaculate. from my trucks, regular glasspacks dont really dampen the turbo whistle at all and just barely takes a little treble off the top. with a big tip or something, 7.3s sound way deeper and make more big block/6leetor noises and really are not quieter at all once they break in. it’s all about tone

    How long did that packing last lol home insulation should have gotten some ceramic insulation that stuff takes heat.

    I’m curious how to fix the back door lock actuators.

      @ Drew Vierra Sounds like a fix it video! I've been fortunate to not have any issues with mine just yet. I'll see about taking a look at my door lock actuators for any troubleshooting suggestions and what not. If I find anything noteworthy I'll see about posting a video on it too. Stay tuned, and I'll keep you posted... thanks for the input!

      I’d love to see a $20 glass pack that is for four inch exhaust….

    And maybe one day a turbo removal.

      Oh boy, that sounds fun... I may wait on that one while I can. Perhaps when it comes time for a VGT, or compound turbos I'll look into that one! Ford really just crammed the ole T444e under the hood with our OBS trucks. Space is really limiting.

      Yeah it is. A project. Just not sure what the best way is to take out a nut that doesn’t seem like I can get a socket to really sit on snug. I can get a bite on it but it’s not enough to use a breaker bar. Might need to weld a socket onto it or something I’m not really sure. What do you think? Heat or weld?

      A lot of those turbine housing/ exhaust parts in the area are cast iron, heating it too much would put you in danger of cracking a turbine housing. Either way you'd need to get some sort of wrench on it.

      Haha, yeah that was before I knew the turbo technically counted as a muffler, I wanted to make sure I'd pass inspection...

      @@Rnddiesel turbos count as a muffler?? thats crazy i dont have state inspection here in wisconsin but when i turboed my idi i always said I just put a muffler on it

    • @Rnddiesel
      @Rnddiesel  4 года назад

      @@rodneyhawkins3744 Yeah there's a clause somewhere that states that a turbo counts as a muffler in the case of a diesel engine in Texas at least

  • @hunterstroupe1569

    No muffler! The point of a 7.3 is it's loud and it suppose 2 be a loud diesel lol. Listen 2 that turbo.

    • @Rnddiesel
      @Rnddiesel  6 лет назад +1

      Yeah it did sound nice for a while without the muffler. At least the muffler doesn't work all 'that' well, haha. This way I don't have to worry about passing inspection in my state!
