First off, the 2 tenors arent bad but they definitley arent what i would consider good. Secondly, then 3rd soloist was the snare I can only assume so he wasnt used to playing tenors so you can't judge him as harshly as the other soloists.
It’s jig 2 just because they can play it doesn’t mean there good , not saying that there not just saying that jig 2 is very easy to play even for begginers
At my school everyone in percussion know how to play jig 2 for the most part and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a piece of sheet music for it, I just listen to the pitches and. It’s really easy to learn it that way, almost all of our high school members know it
@@jonathanspray2362 ..... in percussion there is no such thing as a tuning preference for tenors, either you tune them to get a nice tight crisp sound or they sound bad if not bad then just more of a slightly uncomfortable sound, not really room for in betweens.
Some of these ppl in the comments font understand that it's probably super cold out there and that's why the quads sound our of tune. If instruments are out in the cold, sometimes they will sound a bit out of tune
It's not that hard to do even with no tenor experience. I'm a sophomore and played bass freshman year and snare sophomore year and I can play jig 2 with no tenor experience at all. I tried out for tenor freshman year and the senior sucked but a junior was good and we had 2 tenors and after tryouts I was told that I would've gotten tenor if I wasn't 80 pounds lol. I weigh 100 now so I'm getting there so I should be able to march tenors soon
Yo I’m like a copy of u I played bass freshman year and this year I’m still playing bass but I’m practice tenors with my boys and I can’t seem to weigh more than fucking 97 pounds. I’m gonna switch to tenors next year for sure
I'm a flute and drumset player, and I mean this in the nicest way possible to those kids: I can tune a drumline better than this. And even if they got new heads and they just sound awful, they should've just went this last game with those heads so at practice on Monday, they could've tuned them up through rehearsal.
@@fireiswet7809 It seems fairly obvious considering the 3rd one wasnt on the tenors from the beginning and he also played it significantly worse than the others.

I was like at first, “they both are good?” Then I saw the third solo and went ohhh lol. He still did very good tho

Right as I looked at this comment the third went
The third guy plays the snare so that’s why he didn’t do it as good as the first two

@@muishaggyssjss1902 quads with 2 spocks have been a thing for quite a while now, you just don't see too many high schools with them

All the individual drums on the set or both sets?
If you mean all the individual drums on The set... your not right they're supposed to be different pitches
@@zaccyfn no I mean both sets need to match pitches on each of the drums. And they all need to be higher in general.

Boy are those blue taped sticks horrific
on a completely unrelated note- band kids are so attractive im done i miss being in band
its sad im a bass drum but the only percussionist in our band able to play this
Hey it’s way better than I can do.
What are these drums called i need to know..
Tenor
Bro I just learned the tenor part for jog 2 on my snare too!
So awesome sounding!
Y’all gotta tune those quads😭😭

yea the heads will warp and sound off
That doesn't create this much of a difference. Their heads are tuned far too low, they would sound higher in the cold if anything.
Why the sound of the drums so plastic (no commentary)
My drumline plays this just at a faster tempo
Its supposed to played much, much faster than this and is probably one of the most well knows drumline pieces ever made.
Cool beans bro
It probably also doesn’t sound like untuned popcorn
you guys really need to practice playing jig 2 too, get them drums tuned
Yo I'm one of Ramsey's tenor player. We need to meet and jig 2 battle

In the nicest way possible, please tune those drums they sound horrible
That wasn't nice at all
