This is an old video. Jim is no longer lecturing. Unfortunately, his health has declined considerably in the last few years. His work is available primarily from theopolis, biblical horizons.com and wordmp3.com.
thomashilleke - that’s what I was wondering. I heard he had a stroke. But it’s hard to tell what is current and what is not. Would love to send support how I can.
C S he’s had a series of strokes. The Theopolis Institute has taken over in spirit his life’s work from Biblical Horizons. Here is his statement regarding the matter when he first starting having his strokes: www.biblicalhorizons.com
@@truecommonbond5648 One way you can tell how old it is: Jordan was still based in Florida. He has not been there for quite a few years. It also appears that Leithart was still in Moscow.
I greatly appreciate Doug Wilson and Peter Leithart. But the things James Jordan said about the perpetual virginity of Mary made it sound like he hasn't read the Catholic arguments for it. It's not as though Catholics were or are unaware of what appears to be the case at first glance) There is a good case to be made (whether or not you ultimately decide it's the best option) that the brothers of Jesus were his cousins (same Greek word) and that "until" is often used to mean up until and beyond ("I will be with you until the end of the age" does not mean only until that point). Also the church fathers were well aware of these ideas. It would seem to be unwise if you have a kind of Christian liturgy that goes straight from New Testament to Geneva without any interaction with what the followers of Jesus in the generation following the apostles believed and practiced.
@@FilmDoctor42 With all due respect, even if you are correct that the Catholic Church is heretical (which I disagree with) your argument doesn't seem to be particularly coherent, or make a great case. Admittedly the current Pope has done and said a good number of things that I and many other Catholics are very much against. But Catholics have always understood that several of the Popes have been less than perfect to say the least. I don't believe it follows that because Pope Francis is deeply flawed, that the Catholic Church as a whole is heretical.
Even many calvinists including calvin maintained the perpetual virginitu of mary. James jordan's take was really disappointing. His arguments were uncharateristically amateur and bad
I like your careful and fair way of proceeding intellectually. Most people just think in terms of platforms which they are attached to, and resist thinking creatively or for themselves. Your point is well-taken: that Jordan shows ignorance of the best arguments for the perpetual virginity of Mary; therefore, his stance is intellectually unenlightened even if he is correct! To be intellectually honest, you must come to terms fairly with the best arguments of the other side of any position you adopt.
Dang, James Jordan- the greatest theologian of our life time. Incredible to see him here.
I didn’t recognize James Jordan cause he dropped his 👑 before getting on stage
Jim has been a wonderful gift from God to the church.
I wonder why that is so few of his lectures and classes on RUclips...
Been listening to his lectures on the Canon App for a year. It's funny to match the name to a face.
James Jordan is a national treasure. Anyone know the best way to meet this guy? Maybe sit in on a lecture?
Just read his works and improve on them. Follow Alastair Roberts, keep his work going.
also his audio on www.wordmp3.com/ is great!!

What is with the night gowns?
They are not washed in white?🤔
It would be nice if this was dated, because I think it's quite a few years old.
The fist pump at end makes me think it is from 2020

Tha Catholic Church is heretical. Just look at their current leader, who is a socialiat liar and a slanderer.

People should read THE DARK SIDE OF CALVINISM by George Bryson and GOD’S STRATEGY IN HUMAN HISTORY by Paul Marston and Roger Forster.
You should watch the George Bryson and James White debate
Sounds FV
JohnCalvarez if everything is FD, then nothing is FD
A talk among three founders of Federal Vision sounds like Federal Vision? Shocked and dumbstruck.
That’s because it is!!
What is FV?
