The more I watch the game, the more I am impressed with Pickett's performance. Clifford is going to be a great QB, but Pickett was just amazing, avoiding the rush, dropping perfect passes all over the field. One of the best QB performances I've seen in Beaver stadium.
Yeah, Whipple has helped A LITTLE for him, but then again I think hes just a seasoned QB by now who finally broke through. Whipple might have a small part in that or a big part...tough to tell as some QBs just take off at a point despite the coaches. I know Pitt fans and media have been gushing over him since he got on campus, but just needed some game action and time under his belt...seems Clifford is on that path.
Big PSU and Steeler fan, hate Pitt but I’ve known pickett was the real deal since this game he was on point

It was a fun series you Pitt fans out there, but I'm ready for @VT next year, Auburn 2021-2022, WVU 2023-2024, Home VT 2025....2026 is earliest I could see for another Pitt/PSU game, and it'd probably only be a 1 for 1 series
Yeah Pitt’s also gonna be renewing the Backyard Brawl with WVU from 2022-25, Have a lot of upcoming games with Notre Dame over the next few years, and I think they have a home and home with Tennessee in 2021-22. This series with Penn State was good. I was glad to see the battle of the keystone state revived again.

Clifford is not a good qb and the PSU pass defense was horrid.. Pitt shouldve won.

pitt loses to Penn State-again. Advantage Penn State 53-43-4 in the rivalry. Penn State STILL OWNS the Commonwealth.
