Have you seen the terrapin they have on the screen at Maryland??? yikes!!! Looks like something out of the Jurassic Era. But, I got say their Crab stuffed. smothered with melted cheese Pretzel, that comes in a large pizza box is definitely worth the trip--feeds 4 with ease. Continued good luck with your season. Major respect for PJ Fleck and what he is doing there.

I was a UMN freshman in 2021 so I didn’t watch this game. But the seniors and juniors talked about this game as the stuff of legends for us.

I just looked at that cuz I heard that comment a few times, I thought it might be a lighted yellow gopher but it is a real huge picture, I laughed my ass off just now, if I was the kicker, I still would have and then I would of had to call a timeout and coach Franklin would of yelled, WTF Tom and I would of had to tell him, that’s just funny coach! 😄

Great job with the highlights. Well done to keep replays of the big plays. Very smooth cuts on announcers' voices. Only miss was there was no replay of the offensive pass interference call at 1:21 which won the game for Minnesota.

Totero fleck nearly blew this game down the stretch because his team stopped running its offense. They could throw all day long and stopped throwing to work clock. Qb only had two incompletions they were so efficient they could have just kept throwing and it would have worked clock.
@@blankname6629 that's exactly what I said I was like I get your trying milk the clock but 38 points really would have gave us some breathing room, I hope he realizes this when they watch the tape bc even though managing time is key you also have to have insurance (putting points on the board)
@@blankname6629 Penn St. did make some adjustments at halftime and were putting more pressure on the qb. in the 2nd half, 3 sacks i believe in 2nd half.
So glad I got to see the Gophers in the top 10 in the country in my lifetime. Definitely our best season in 100 years. Still mad we couldn’t best those Badgers 😤

For me it goes back to when they chose the big 10 over the big East. Penn states historic rivals WVU, Syracuse and Pitt were in the Big East and like whores they threw away decades of tradition for an extra $10.

Michael Melling I credit that to the coach PJ Fleck. I was hoping my team would have picked him up but I guess they are happy not changing for the better
I question how players are rated. PJ Fleck has a system in mind that brings out hidden energies in young men and staffs. I believe lately the changes in UM Administration is for the benefit of the Big Ten, not just Minnesota. The Big Ten will lead the nation forward. We have been sliding downhill for decades.

Carter Coughlin was a 4 star recruit and some offensive linemen were 4 stars but a lot of these players are 3 or fewer. Pretty sure Bateman was a 3 star recruit.
Everyone thought the gophers were just a running team. But really, we just play whatever the defense is giving us. Weeks 1-4 we averaged just 115 yards on the ground, but 273 through the air, those teams thought we couldn't throw the ball, so they sold out on the run. Weeks 5-8 we averaged 293 on the ground and just 176 through the air - those teams thought "oh shit, they can throw the ball so we can't load the box" and we ran it down their throats behind the biggest O-line in FBS. It's not rocket science; the Gophers will run it down your throat relentlessly if you let them. But if you sell out against the run, we will throw it over your head. Penn state probably looked at the first 4 games and thought, "meh, still a running team that was able to throw against weak defenses, let's focus on stopping the run." BIG mistake...HUGE...
I actually think the defense took a while to get in sync, which is why the first 4 games were close (although Purdue was garbage-time padding against our second string, the gophers really dominated that game).

PSU offense is a fraud, period, and their defense followed suit raking up 10 sacks against Purdue. PSU is between 6-8 and Minnesota should be ranked right there. Two SEC teams with 2 losses at 10 and 11 ahead of Minnesota, now 9-0 is a monstrosity and shows SEC bias. Flordia and Auburn would lose to Minnesota.

As long as Franklin is the HC at PSU, that team will always choke in the big games. Franklin gets out coached against any team in the top 25.

he blocked. I had to replay that some times but right before #11 gets out of the camera shot, he is clearly blocking. can't do that on a pass
I thought it was a bogus call at first. Then I replayed it over and over again he did block it was pass interference
how was it not pass interference lol?? dude didn't even run a route, just immediately ran up field and started blocking while the QB was still back to pass.
Penn state play calling didn’t help in this game and Minnesota was definitely good, but PSU got hosed by the refs in this game, ex: hamler INT and George OPI, the George one especially was absurd and kept us from 1st and goal from the 2

Why are you calling long passes when Clifford's been giving away interceptions like Christmas gifts? You were running very well against Minnesota. Aside from that, I hate bye weeks. I'm not gonna get on James entirely TOO much. Clifford was horrible. Obviously, he ain't ready and the defense was still on their bye vacations. Minnesota took care of the secondary like I knew they most likely would. The receivers had butterfingers 70% of the game. This attack at the secondary reminds me of the Eagles/Vikings game, smh. 🤦♀️ congrats gophers!

@@BenBigelow3 Yeah they are all nasty. It's not just Tyler Johnson anymore. But what's been most impressive is Morgan. Who's the last true QB the Gophers had that could sling it with some accuracy? It's been a while. I recall the Annexstad, Leidner, and Gray days. . Morgan looks poised, decisive, and accurate with the ball. He's getting it to these good receivers so that can showcase their ability.
