    Liking the vid. basically repair summarized as chop out bad ptex and bent rail until you have a level base to work on. Epoxy and screw in the new rail cut to size. Then put ptex on top and then grind surface flat?

    • @Buckmans
      @Buckmans  Месяц назад

      That is the basics of the process. We let the epoxy and Ptex cure before giving the board a complete tune. After the complete tune, the board is ready to hit the slopes again.

    That’s an impressive repair! I just damaged my edge on a rock. Any shops you can recommend in Utah or NYC to get it fixed? Thanks

      We are not too far from NYC. If you are ever down in PA drop the board off and we will take care of it!

    Do you use ptex and epoxy together or separate? Thank you !!

    • @Buckmans
      @Buckmans  3 месяца назад

      It depends on the repair. With this repair, we used a only ptex.

    But seems the new piece is not welded to original edge, will it work normal under torsion?

    • @Buckmans
      @Buckmans  11 месяцев назад +1

      Screws are used to ensure the new edge will work under normal torsion.

    Nice way to contaminate the base with hot swarf

      Thanks for watching! Our technicians make sure the base is cleaned and polished after the edge replacement is complete which removes any contaminates from the base.

    Im confused about the 3 screws you left very elevated. Were those removed prior to drying

    • @Buckmans
      @Buckmans  Год назад

      The screws get driven below the base of the board. Then are sealed with epoxy to hold the new edge in place.
