Which movies in the series do you dislike?
For me, each one has their own qualities about them that makes me like each one in the set.
I just bought the set for $129 off Amazon. I'm starting to wish I'd got the deluxe set because that poster looks amazing, but I have zero room for posters in my apartment. Lol
Same, I pre-ordered from Amazon. I was going to order from scream factory but the ones with the poster and lithograph were already sold out and they still wanted $159 I think. It was a no brainer to save $30 and order it from Amazon.
Great review Jeff. I can’t wait to get this set, I’m going to have to wait a little while before I can try to nab it, because shifting jobs, but I had to do the same for the Halloween box set and I was able to get it and I love it, it’s just like this set in every way minus the new scans and the clear cases.
People on eBay are asking $250-300 for this set. Not worth paying double just to get the poster and lithograph. That's if you even get one with the poster and lithograph. They were a limited run. $129 on Amazon and I believe the same price at Best Buy.
12 movies*. Still a very good deal imo. And yet people are even complaining about the Amazon price. You can't expect a collection like this for $100.

Awesome unboxing! I got mine the other day and I absolutely loved it! Posters artwork and all. I also missed the Halloween limited Edition set, now scream just needs to make a nightmare on elm street set and we will have deluxe editions of the big 3 slasher franchises.

This is going to look awesome next to my Halloween box set
I am sure I am not the only one to A/B with older versions but I did notice a huge difference between this release and the itunes release. I compared the unrated cuts of the first movie and the color grading in the new version is superior. The older version looks so much more green. It has a pervasive green tint despite similar resolutions. The new scan is on par with the My bloody Valentine which is the best 4K scan SF has done on an 80's film IMO.
They did their own encodes and color grading from the old masters/scans/transfers from my understanding for 5-8. Hoping jeff and/or a couple other youtubers do a comparison between the paramount releases and these. I did notice some pretty healthy bitrates when I was ripping the set to my Plex server. Wish they did something new with fvj and 2009 but I’m sure that was probably part of the distribution deal.
@@coreyhennessee6137 I wish they took a crack at the rest as well but I am betting they wanted to hit a price for the entire set without assuming biblical sales. I am certain they will sell almost everyone of these they print though.

Mine arrived today. only watched part 1 so far but looking forward to all of them especially seeing 3 in 3D.
The Halloween set is also awesome and packaging is same as the Friday set.
So this is finally a 3D-Bluray of Part 3? If so, it can finally join my Jaws 3, Amityville 3D, Parasite, Metalstorm, and Comin' At Ya 3D-Blurays. Just missing Rottweiler, Spacehunter, and Treasure of the Four Crowns available as 3D-Blurays.
Oh and Starchaser: The Legend or Orin needs a 3D-Bluray release.
It's a shame that "Part 7" don't have an "Unrated Cut" after so many years.
That's because the footage was damaged, meaning while it exists the quality is pretty bad. Which is why an unrated cut will never exist.
Also Part 6. Both have tons of lost footage.

Just bought mine 30 mins ago from Amazon for 109 great deal plus i have prime so ill get it in 2days doesn't come with posters but all I need is the box with cool art and the movies 🙌😁 people on ebay selling it for almost 200 without the posters 🤦♂️

If this was released in 4K, I would be super tempted. I already have the last small box set. Well, if you can call it that. It’s just all the movies in a large Blu-ray case. Very cool though! Great video!

As a MAJOR long time fan of this franchise just second to Halloween I have almost every release of Friday the 13th franchise from VHS-DVD-BLU-RAY and now the first 4K just released.
I was surprised to hear that, as well. I know it saves some money, but that black rin set is a thing of beauty with some really cool collectibles in it. I’m keeping that one! In fact, I regret selling off the DVD box set of F13 I owned from back in the day as I had such great memories with it.
I’m on the fence for this cause only half got the new scans. In all honesty y’all think it’s worth it? Yes it looks amazing but still what are some opinions?
I do not think it is worth it. I have the Friday the 13th "black tin" (when I bought it in 2014 it was $59 without tax or shipping) set though. I feel like the value of this set without the posters is around $70-$80. With the posters (the deluxe edition) I think it should be priced at $110-$120. Just my honest opinion. I have the Halloween set he is talking about too. When I bought it back in 2015 it was only $103 and that was with tax and shipping. Stay healthy brother! Cheers! 🤙🏽

I've got the box set. 3 replacement discs on the way. I read online they only did 20,000 box sets and 7000 of these with posters.
I’m going to get the replacement discs if I need to. I finally had to get this when I saw the price for $100. I deeply regret not getting the Halloween box set before it sold out.

I double dipped as I have the tin box set as well. But for me it's a no brainer. My favorite horror series by far. Can't wait to watch all the extras

To those who already own the Ultimate Collection.. Is this worth it? I know this deluxe set has 4 extra movies, but there's about a $110 price difference between the two on Amazon
You definitely need that big 15-disc Halloween Scream Factory box set. I got it when it was new in 2014, and it's amazing. It looks great next to the new F13 box set (I got it yesterday, 10/7).
I have had the Halloween set since it was first released as well it’s my favorite item in my entire collection also it’s my favorite movie franchise so it was a no brained for me when it came out.

@@ericd1632 yeah. They were all cut to ribbons by the MPAA. I swear man the MPAA did more cutting in those movies than jason did. Besides jason X doesnt get enough credit. People say it's dumb like these movies have ever made any real sense. I dont get the hate.
@@r.graves5531 Yeah don't even get me started on the MPAA. Ridiculous. Ya I was just breaking your balls. Jason X did have some good moments. The scene where he freezes that girls face and then smashes it on the counter is one of my favorite kills of the whole series. Good stuff.
@@ericd1632 I love the look of jason in jason x too. Plus the way he moves is super cool as well. He has a whole different attitude in those movie. It's like he know hes unstoppable at this point and just start behaving like a terminator. The thing where he turns his body and head at slightly different speeds? Its Iconic to me tbh

Why does Scream Factory still have the price listed at $159.98 and the lithograph and poster are sold out with the waiting list closed???? You can get this set at Bestbuy or Amazon for $30 cheaper!!!
I think you should have gotten this set but kept the other set for display. That’s just my opinion.
This took way too long too come out! I ended up buying a cheap 8 pack last year. That second poster with all the Jasons is Dope AF, i'm jealous!
There are some unfortunate flaws with the set though which include:
Part 3's intro is fucked up
Jason Goes to Hell is missing a scene in the unrated version
Jason X has some missing sound effects in a scene

Don’t know what they are talking about on the OPENING CREDITS of FRIDAY THE 13TH part III in Real digital 3-D from SHOUT FACTORY. Shout made no mistake and did it RIGHT on the original blu ray . NO need for correction or a re-placement disc. I was a motion picture projectionist for 30 years and ran this Film . and this how the title card was designed… [CROPPED FRAME] Jason is in full 3-D on the last shot of him lying on the shed’s floor and grabs his knife there is a cross-fade [ NOT a SPLICE ] to the mother’s head…
THE MAIN TITLE POPS FROM HER EYES in FULL 3-D …title stops at mid-way…
Then comes right at you popping over your head. Done right …then cross-fades [NO SPLICE] to the rest of the credits ARE POPPING but they have to stop at mid-way for sharpness done right . watch this title card 3-D segment on a digital projector 200”screen size and all the credits are popping off the screen in the right fashioned

considering that Im a small fan of the jason vorhees character and seen most of the friday of the 13th flicks, that box art looks beautiful! love horror movie art like that.

Well, it’s been 5 years I think since the last one went OOP. The only reason to wait now might be for a 4K release? But I am not sure we will get one. Now would have been the time

I suspect that the 4K UHD set will be a year or two down the road. That said, I grabbed this one just to make sure I’m covered either way.

I feel your pain about getting this and it being a reminder that I didn’t buy that Halloween Deluxe collection. The cheapest that I’ve seen it go for as I’ve been looking throughout this year has been like 600 dollars used. Very mad at myself lol

Most likely a 4K transfer of this will come i nthe future. They will milk the Halloween and Friday the 13th Franchise to death. I picture this Friday the 13th and even halloween in a metal boxset like Harry Potter. Not worth dropping big $$. Just be patient.
Has your local Best Buy downsized your Blu Ray/ DVD sections? I walked into my local Best Buy in Holyoke, MA and I was greeted with just one shelf of new releases and the rest was converted to small kitchen appliances. I wanted to cry lol

Completely agree that current nightmare on elm street blu ray set is pathetic that franchise deserves much better.
Just a heads up that Jason X also has a new 2k scan and this set is the first time in the US that Jason goes to hell has the unrated cut on blu ray.

Supposedly there's a problem with 3 of the disc Jason goes to hell uncut is missing a scene Jason x is missing audio in one scene and the titles sequence in part 3 3d is messed up its not popping out of screen like it should

Anything Scream Factory touches is gold I'm so happy they got this set I didn't order it through scream... I ordered my screw Best Buy cuz I really have enough posters from Scream Factory that I don't know what to do with them LOL but that's a good problem to have. At any rate I am really hoping they A Nightmare on Elm Street french fries in the exact same format as they did with this. This is going to look great next to my Halloween, omen and Critter sets. I'm still searching for the fly no pun intended. But I'm really hoping for a Nightmare on Elm Street next, only concern is Will Wes Craven's a state release the rights for them to do the first one?

Yo you are misreading that man. Every movie has 5.1 audio. Some have mono and 5.1 while others have stereo and 5.1
Are you sure? That’s not the way I was reading it but that would make more sense. I’ve never seen such a confusing audio label on a release before lol, they usually list every track with detail

This looks so nice. I love this series but I had to pass this up because this up was no 4K Disks. I suppose, or rather hope they release a true 4k set in the near future.

Friday the 13th unrated version has one audio commentary. Friday the 13th part 2 has two audio commentaries. Friday the 13th part 3 has one audio commentary. Friday the 13th part 4 has two audio commentaries. Friday the 13th part 5 has three audio commentaries. Friday the 13th part 6 has four audio commentaries. Friday the 13th part 7 has two audio commentaries. Friday the 13th part 8 has two audio commentaries. Jason Goes to Hell.unrated version has two audio commentaries. Freddy VS Jason has one audio commentary. Jason X has two audio commentaries. best Friday the 13th bluray boxset ever.

Halloween set doesn't have reversible covers like some of these do that's why the cases are clear and not black
