Top job on the walkthrough-love the fresh color scheme! The layout is #1 in my opinion. I really like how the white gloss cupboards up high reflect light, while the darker tones on the floor add depth. The short return on the lounge is a smart touch so you don’t bump into it coming out of the fridge. No ankle breaker rabbit hole at the exit to the van. The compressor fridge is a no-brainer, and the compost toilet is such a practical choice. It all comes together nicely! That said, I think you got the short end of the stick here mate-looks like there’s more work for you outside than inside! Sorry Patsy. With that red dirt and dust, plus tackling the underneath, you’ve got your hands full. Good luck! I reckon the next addition for this beauty should be a cleaner, closely followed by a butler. Wouldn’t that be sweet? Then you can finally kick back and start living a little! 😂
Thanks for making this walkthrough video. I've seen lot of Zone RV walkthrough videos but you have shown lots of aspects of the van that are rarely if ever covered in the others. Plus your commentary has been clear and precise. Zone RV should add you as one of their product ambassadors. Enjoy your travels.
Great walk through guys, really easy to watch and so nice with some travel footage in between, really good idea. Beautiful Bunda Cliffs footage, pretty sure that place can never look bad 😊. See you next episode.
I reckon that was one of the best caravan walk throughs I have ever seen it wasn’t boring and you had some traveling content as well the new Zone caravan looks great
I did not notice what brakes you have? Also didn't know Zone produced the panels. I spent years researching Zone before my purchase. The fact they had their own engineered chasis was another big plus for me. Your review with the rationale was very good.
Awesome video and great van. The info on the new diesel hot water system was very interesting. Keep up the good work. The best caravan walkthrough by a long shot.
Thanks for the high praise David! We've invested in some new gear over xmas, still figuring out how to best use it but looking forward to raising the bar this year 😊
Good trick with the chain saw don't cut down towards the sand/dirt if you can avoid it as soon as it hit even the tiniest bit it acts like sand paper and take the edge of the chain
@@our.australia.trip. yeah we keeping pinching ourselves that this is actually happening. Got a 3 month trip planned later in the year. Hope to cross paths some day perhaps at a Zone meet up.
You guys are really kicking goals with your vids. You've come so far since the early content. Keep it up. Enjoy WA - Wil keep an eye out for you on the road. 🙂
Wow, what a fantastic van. I love it. The only thing I wondered about is the Starling? No birds mentioned here!! Never mind I'm a grandmother and technology escapes me. I'll look it up. Zone really have thought of everything. Happy trails.
Good insight to your van, can tell you guys love it. Sorry to see you got a flat. I learnt my lesson in the inland Murchison area, so now I always carry two spares (car and van). I took me 600 km to get a new replacement (however was able to get a temporary bold tire at 200 km at a homestead.) Hope your travels in WA are just as good or better than your previous visit. Safe travels and might see you on the road somewhere as we travel this magnificent country.
That was great guys, what a lovely van and the white inside is a great move. You two together seem to really enjoying yourselves and having a great time together. Not so sure about the one spare wheel though I know it’s a pain carrying two spare wheels but you guys seem to do a fair bit of off reading and I remember that blow out on the Nullarbor in your old van😢😢. Well enjoy your adventures in this great country see you next time Jon
Thanks for the kind words! The blow out on the car last year was due to a delam 👎 Its worth noting that the stud pattern is the same on the car/van so i can interchange spares 😊 Also you cannot have 2 spares and a ladder & id much rather have the ladder and keep the weight down. Cheers Jon & thanks for tuning in again mate

Great walkthrough. I’ve been following you now for 6 months. What a lovely couple you are. Would love a video of your new camera gear and what you go through with it all & editing? Happy New Year
Hi Guys - love your work. Picking up our new Zone in a couple of weeks. Can you please tell me the measurements of your "dirty laundry" soft bags you keep above the diesel heater mechanism. Would like to get them before we head up. Cheers.
Awesome video guys. Really enjoyed watching. Can I please ask what kettle you have. We pick up our new zone Sojourn first week of Feb and I have been looking for a kettle for the induction cook top. Keep up the good work guys and enjoy the travel. Look forward to your next video.
Is there a range hood over the stove i carnt see one my eyes are getting old 😦 , nice looking van tho 👌the diesel hot water heater is very interesting i like that idea
Hey guys! I LOVE your new home! Congrats big time! May I ask where you got your multi reel from. Thank you. Im so excited for you both having a Zone. ❤
Hi Brad & Haley, I have admired your slide out BBQ set up for some time now and wanted to ask you where you got the locking Chanel from, the size and also what Weber BBQ are you using. I use a Baby Q with a lid that has a temp gauge and am not sure if it will fit in my new Sojourn and I notice yours seems to fit perfectly. Did you rivet the locking Chanel or screw it down? Thanks very much
Hey Michael! We have the Baby Q too with the temp gauge, it fits under just perfectly. This is what we used last time & just riveted it down. www.bcf.com.au/p/xtm-2pk-610mm-anchor-tracks/577443.html I used the channel because i thought i might like to move things around a bit but the air fryer and bbq location were perfect. Next time around though ill just use some eyelets for my tie downs instead of the anchor track.
@@our.australia.trip. Hi Brad & Hayley - thank you so much for your response I really appreciate it. I was hoping not to have to replace the Baby Q, when we get the Zone, as I love using it and a good idea considering eyelets. Hey guys, love your work, keep it up. I am curious, do you have some sort of Australia wide roadside service at all? Or do you have to purchase each states local service, like NRMA and RACV and so on? Thanks
Hey thanks for the kind words! Yes, our roadside covers us for all gazetted roads in Australia. Zone RV give you 12 months complimentary roadside assistance when you purchase one of their vans too which is awesome 🙌
Hey Johnny, thanks mate. We are really missing our glide, our chassis is rated to 4t so we need to run the DO45 hitch. There is a 4.5t OzGlide in the works so looking forward to seeing that come together & hopefully getting it on the van 👍
Hey Brad and Hayley, great van review! Just one thing- howbig is your grey water tank? You mentioned it being small? And where is it under the van? In front of or behind the wheel axles? Cheers again and love your work! Phil
Brad, I like the look of the carbon fibre starlink pole. Where did you get it fitted? Do you run a 12V DC supply for the Starlink as an option to avoid having to power up the Inverter?
I had a mate install it for me, and no just running it off the 3000w inverter - for us its simpler and cheaper this way rather than buggering around with 12v conversion.
Awesome walk thru. Have loved following your journey and can’t wait for more awesome content. Just a question re your chairs, can you please advise the brand for both? Many thanks 😊
Hi Haley & Brad, outstanding video. Just a note; have you investigated the need for a flame detector on your Weber? I have just installed one on my Weber Baby Q 1000. We added this because it may affect your insurance in the event of a fire. Not sure if the Q model you have has the iQ flame detector available yet? Cheers Pete
Nice van and choice guys. Very cool. For the Compost Toilet, do U drop thw toilet paper in too? More so when doi g #2? I see a little bin on the side? Smell? Cheers jeff
Hi Guys, new to the channel, loving your content. Is there an option with Zone RV to have extra capacity water tanks fitted over and above what they have standard? 😀👍
Enjoyed the walk through mixed with travel, it was easy to watch What is the name of the product you buy from Big W for the toilet? Do you rent this van from Zone?
Oh man, windows took a beating (ruclips.net/video/j52ZPJfsKcE/видео.html). Hope you can get that polished out. Aiming to place an order for a Peregrine next month so would be good to hear what you can get done, if anything. Enjoy your travels. The Peregrine looks great. Cheers.
Its deceiving, thats just where the leaves brushed down the side along the dust. You can see my finger mark checking for scratches when i enter the van for the internal walk through. Since then i've washed her down and she's looking brand new again with no scratches.
@@our.australia.trip.Yeh, I can see what you.re saying upon closer inspection. Good to see your windows aren't trashed. Safe travels. Cheers. PS: Brad, your better half, is it Haley or Patsy? I'm confused. PPS: Can you tell us what brands of induction kettle (inside) & coffee pot (outside) you are using. Wife and I really liked the look of them. Cheers.
- The windows are polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which is known for its scratch resistance and strength. - Patsy is Hayleys nickname. - Snowpeak kettle & bialetti 'venus' moka pot
I guess it’s unfortunate for you guys that the Gall Boys from Kedron don’t need influencers to sell their vans, because I know you said once before that they were your inspiration and if you had to buy another van you’d def go with a Kedron. Let’s hope the Zone lives up to the marketing hype…and that this doesn’t become just another Zone RV channel! Hope you take this constructively because we’ve enjoyed your travels from the beginning.
Hey mate! We have to do walk throughs, although they may seem like an ad to you we will get far more questions than we can field if we were not to do it. We did enjoy our old van, Just the new builds are far too heavy for us going forward with what we want to do. We will be back to our regular travel videos next ep.
@@our.australia.trip. That’s good to hear, and we look forward to your new adventures. I’d be interested in knowing the difference in tare weight between the new van and “equivalent” Kedron. You said the Zone was about 2700 kg, and as far as can find out the new 18’ 6 Kedron is about 2800 kg. It’s not always easy to get these figures, so if you’ve got anything you can share I’d appreciate it. Cheers
Well, this van is pretty much the same weight as our 2016 Kedron. We had 200ah lithum and 600watts solar. If you built a 19ft with the same specs as the Peregrine you would be well over 3t tare. The bigger you go, the heavier they get to which was a major motivation for us knowing in the future were going to want a 21ft family van. Those i know come in over 3.3t tare cause i got a quote about 12mths back.
Lovely van guys congratulations. How do you like the diesel hot water? Love the idea even known in theory it's a gas less van, zone still think of allowing for a gas bottle for the bbq. Nothings beats a good old fashioned gas bbq 🥩🫕
Thanks guys! The diesel hot water would be our top 3 changes (diesel hot water, compost toilet and airbags). Cant beat a weber!! Love the gasless though, we were running through a bottle every 10 days in the old van 😅 Such a pain it was! Now we will be lucky to replace a 4 kg every 3 months 🤣
@@our.australia.trip.Nice we don’t use all that much gas but definitely something to think about. Crazy how the van industry is booming leaps and bounds so many options now days

Thanks for following along Kerin! They are snowpeak chairs 😊
@@our.australia.trip. thanks for the reply! Safe travels 😊
Cheers Pete
Hey Pete! We have one but i never leave the bayonet hooked up or the gas on after cooking so never really been worried about it.
Nice van and choice guys. Very cool. For the Compost Toilet, do U drop thw toilet paper in too? More so when doi g #2? I see a little bin on the side? Smell? Cheers jeff
Yes paper is actually good to chuck in cause it helps regulate the moisture level ( you dont want it getting too moist)
The places you are going would help to have 2 spare tyres!!
I should've mentioned we can use our ute tyres on the van and vice versa
Looks like quality van.great info
I’m guessing that you pay for it being Australian built from Scratch.
Great video guys nice Van do you have a dcdc charger I'm not sure if i missed you say it anyway enjoy the trip back my home state all the best Ron
Yes we do, redarc 50 and 30 amp charger. Cheers Ron 😊
Let's hope you don't need that 2nd spar.. 🤞
We can use our ute spare too if ever in need 👍
Hi Guys, new to the channel, loving your content.
Is there an option with Zone RV to have extra capacity water tanks fitted over and above what they have standard?
😀👍
Hey Brad, no mate. Its so they can run off the production line with precise weights and weight distribution.
@@our.australia.trip. No worries, our Sojourn only has 240lts of water storage. I thought we may have missed ticking a box for an extra tank. 😀
Your review almost makes me want to upgrade my current Zone. Did you sell your old van?
Haha sorry Ian!! Yes the old van has found a new home 😊
Enjoyed the walk through mixed with travel, it was easy to watch
What is the name of the product you buy from Big W for the toilet?
Do you rent this van from Zone?
Thanks! Its just peat moss for the toilet.
Hi guys wondering what diesel hot water system do you have?
Hey Nardine, its a Webasto Thermo Top Evo 5.
Hey guys what is your fuel consumption towing the Van?
Hey! We get around 20-24 lph depending on how much we are hauling and road/weather conditions
do you leave you inverter on during the day to run starlink?
Yeah it runs pretty much full time throughout the day
Hi guys, we love watching all your videos. Just a quick question what was that level app on your phone, please?
Hey Peter, its just called level remote
12V conversion for Starlink ??
Nah just running off the inverter 😊
You said early on it was gas less then you connect a gas bbq??????
gas free internal, you must've missed that part
What is the level app . Name please
Hey Paul, it’s called level remote on the App Store
@@our.australia.trip. You guys rock! Thanks for the detailed reply. Wife's googling the kettle and moka pot as we speak. Safe travels, Cheers
wide view on GOPRO is not good 🙂
Yep, kept playing with the settings for certain things and forget to change it back. It will take a vid or so before this is corrected 👍
Nothings beats a good old fashioned gas bbq
🥩🫕
Thanks guys! The diesel hot water would be our top 3 changes (diesel hot water, compost toilet and airbags). Cant beat a weber!! Love the gasless though, we were running through a bottle every 10 days in the old van 😅 Such a pain it was! Now we will be lucky to replace a 4 kg every 3 months 🤣
@@our.australia.trip.Nice we don’t use all that much gas but definitely something to think about.
Crazy how the van industry is booming leaps and bounds so many options now days
@@our.australia.trip. Airbags btw are are Number 1 ✅ couldn’t live without them now ☺️
