Great bunch of tips both of you, really like the idea of the R clip on the awning support.
What I did for our waste water hose was to cut eight to ten 2 meter lengths with joiners at one end so that they can be linked together for the ideal length and not have coils of hose to walk over, when packing away they live in a PVC tube in the tunnel boot where they take up next to no room.

Another good use for pool noodles is to cut a full length spilt into them and then wrap around and secure with cable ties on your plastic pipes under the van as it helps prevent rock damage.

I witnessed my camp neighbour leaving and he forgot to remove his caravan wheel chocks, he noticed about 100 metres, stopped then his son did the walk of shame to retrieve them. Yes a check list is a must for sure. 😂🤣😂

Great tips but I have one for you. Your Companion temp gauge will sit nicely in the face vent of your MUX, between the steering wheel and the A Pillar. Open the stand at the rear of the gauge and it slides into the vent and secures well. That way you can monitor the fridge temp as you drive. Saved me today, the anderson plug that supplies power to my fridge had disconnected from the car and if I hadn't seen the fridge temp rising, I would not have known.

I will be 100% giving it a go.
I have many times on travel days, looked inside van to check fridge temp.

I tried the companion fridge thermometer in the car a couple of days ago now.
Works so good, sits nicely in that air vent.
      Thanks again for the tip.

Don't use pegs no more, right royal pain in the A@@.I use the screws you buy from Aldi or Bunnings. Haven't lost my Awning yet.Plus much easier to put in/out of the ground with ya drill.Lots of good cheap ass tips!

    Some good tips.
But why pay $20 for what is nothing more than a piece of hose with a right angle connector and a tap?
Even before they existed I made my own from spare hose connectors. Probably worth $2!
Seems you caravanners like parting with your retirement funds for "cool" gadgets!
