We've just begun our caravan ownership journey and channel. We've been watching you guys for a while now and this video was a great way to tick off a few items we've yet to purchase. Keep up the great work! :)
Very well presented! We would be lost without our soda stream!! So refreshing to have a Pepsi max or even a nice lemon drink during the day! Fun fact tho - it sat in our cupboard at home for about 3 years and we never used it once because we couldn’t get the gas cylinders unless we drove 3 hours!. We just packed it in the van when we left as we didn’t know what else to do with it 😂 I’m definitely getting a water bladder ~ we could have spent so much more time at Cape Keraudren this year if we had one 😁
Cheers, yeh we never wanted a soda stream, was t really our thing but our mates the svedos got us on to it snd we wouldnt be without it now! Yes there had been many places we would of stayed longer if we didnt run outnof water!
You guys didnt need to do that! Easy to give a shoutout when the products are so great, Clem even forgot to show my favourite one! My laptop one was the biggest game changer for me but the point was made 😅
Hey guys, love the idea of the soda stream and the cordless vacuum cleaner. We also bought a water bladder too for the just in case refills, because our kids have a habit of using a lot of water to flush the toilet in our caravan lol
A well done video Mark and Clem . We are not full time caravaners but frequent caravaners over 20 years and like you we actually have all these 12 items you have listed except the fridge fan and solar blanket and they make travelling so much more convenient . So enjoy your future travels with all your wish list completed .
You won’t regret buying the water bladder, must have for us. About to do a trip with no access to potable water for a week, fill up the bladder at the last potable water stop before camp.
Great idea going lithium batteries, I’ve switched to lithium for my second battery because running my car fridge as a bit of a freezer for bait and and esky for drinks and some food in storage containers, when I started my car the Alternator couldn’t put enough charge back into the the Agm battery as I was only using it at night and a small generator during the day or my battery would have had not enough charge for overnight even though I have a solar panel on the roof of my Ute. So after watching keelan’s story on RUclips (I wish he talked a bit slower) so I went to I-tech purchased a battery DCDC charger and battery monitor and the guy said I shouldn’t have too many problems getting power back into the lithium battery off of the alternator going down the path I’ve taken. Might look into another small fridge/freezer for the bait giving me more room in big fridge for food on not so much as a freezing alternative. But have a few jobs to do on the 4wd Ute ready for summer fishing trips.
Ah awesome! Yeh i think i would put a similar setup in my car if/when i put a fridge back in. I have two AGMs under the bonnet and no accessories so ive not needed to worry in the past but it would be nice to have some more of a set up in the car. All $$ though so will continue to work through my priorities
The book pockets look very useful. I might get one for our camper. A lot of useful information. Anything that makes the process easier is a bonus. We really liked the water bladder, something we have been going to get ourselves. Both Boys are growing so fast. ❤️🇦🇺🦘
The drop bear pockets have been amazing, i have one for my laptop too that Clem didnt show, i really struggled to store my laptop before hand. The bladder will be really good for us i think and yes the boys are growing very fast
The racks are so good and clem wish I had known about those covers as I've just had mine recovered could have saved so much money another great video thank you
Great video and great information. I like the water bladder, lithium batteries and D035 hitch information in particular, which we have been considering for some time. I think you might have swayed us with your experiences. Thank you so much for your videos and enjoy being back on the road. Stay safe and well.😀
Im glad you found it so useful! Is what we had hoped of it! The Lithium and DO35 are ones we would happily spend the money on again! Time will tell with the bladder but im really excited for it
1. Stabiliser legs are angled inward, change that up. Angle should be outward from your van. Imagine the Eiffel Tower had the legs go inward at the base instead of widens, with all the weight above, just silly. 2. Milwaukee tools over Makita, and if you want even smaller, the Milwaukee compact vacuum is a very handy little caravan cleaner! 🎉
Thanks for your insight, we have found legs straight up and down the best for stability but depending on the ground we are parked on we can’t always achieve that and we can’t go forward on our front legs there are mud flaps in the way. So this works ok for what we need. My mates swear by milwaukee too but i already owned makita so made sense to just keep with the same brand for ease. Good tips for those reading, cheers
Thank you for this, I've taken away heaps of info. About the soda stream, where do you get the refill from? And I'm definitely going to get a few of those drop bear storage bags!! Oh and I've subscribed !
So glad you found it helpful. We typically just get refills at Woolworths, harvey norman do them too. We have 2 gas bottles so we have time to find a refill when one runs out
Great video Whittles. We've just got our first van so just looking for tips. The Kaon shelf in your vehicle is a great idea which I've found online, We have the same brand fridge so I'll get some fans. Where did you get those? I like the idea of the shunt too so where was it from? We're lucky that our van has the same hitch and lithium batteries already and we got the diesel heater added with a 10 lt tank. What size tank do you have as you say it lasts about 2 weeks?
Hey, glad you found it helpful! We have a 10L tank too, don’t often fill it the whole way but yeh about 2 weeks. We don’t run it all night though. The shunt is a victron shunt, go the smartshunt IP65 waterproof one. So many places sell them i just picked a website that had a sale at the time. The fans are Klevacool by 3Dprint RV, Qld made
If that anderson plug connects into your existing array of panels that's will be bringing down your efficiency of the panel. Different arrays require separate mppt controllers
It connects into the battery managment system seperate to the existing panels. I have since got a new blanket that is much more efficient tskes me to my maximum input on a sunny day. Works a treat
Some good tips there guys. How did you fix the storage pockets to the walls? I really like that water bladder idea. We have two 25L water containers that take up too much space in the ute. Thanks team. 😊
The storage pockets come with velcro sticky strips, theyve never budged and we have relocated some of them so whatever sticky stuff they use works really well. Yeh im really excited for what this water bladder will do for us!
gday if i heard u right u got your diesel stored on the back of your caravan near the spare wheel ... if i right it is illegal to have any fuel on the back of your caravan except water
You heard right our diesel tank for the heater is on the rear bar behind the spare wheel. When we installed it I couldn’t find any regulations stating diesel can not be stored on the rear, petrol is a different story but diesel isn’t explosive. A lot of vans come with jerry can holders on the rear for this exact purpose.

4:13 how did you go about removing the old fabric pocket? Ours has silicone and screws🤦🏼♂️ so annoying.
Ah thats annoying, ours was just screws no silicone.
Maybe some string snd run it down behind?
All great ideas
It's always great when you find smart usefully products
Great job guys 👏
Cheers Mel! The soda stream was definitely you guys that got us onto it
