This guy is a perfect example of guitarists that can "fight with their gear" tastefully. There's something to be said about playing without having mostly any notion of what is correct technique and making great art.
rockerverb 50 is such an awesome versatile amp. I have the head, and man of man. The clean is brilliant, the the dirt channel can go crazy gain or subtle crunch.
Was looking to buy an ORM1 before I saw this, now I'm pretty much sold. Gonna see him and his band in Brighton in a week and see the rig in action FO REAL!!
Coool! Total respekt for uploading this! I'd like to change the stock pickups on my Ibanez ORM1... Is it a saymour duncan little 59er on Omar's guitar? THanks
@Thesleepofreason3000 I haven't owned it though, I know several people who have one. Its the type of pedal you really need to get dialed in for certain songs/chord progressions. Once you do that, it is a very cool effect that can add that little extra something special to a song.
I have never had lessons. :( I've only ever broken my low E or A. What's funny is, is that I've tried 8's one time. They were some of the most durable strings I've ever had!
Could someone use one of those fancy video software and de-shake the whole thing? That'd be amazing It's almost impossible to watch without getting nauseaous
i just sold my ibanez omar the black one that they made for a sec i liked it but played my other guitars but i only made 320 not bad but those omar 1s are getting hard to find but i only payed 200 in texas at a pawn shop when i was down there
Im a bit curious about that HR-2 Harmonist pedal. its discontinued and sort of hard to come by but I saw one in an ad here a while ago. Ive heard good things about it and all the different harmonist and pitch shift pedals Ive tried from Boss have been pretty different from eachother. have you tried it?
hahahaha you really replied to that? do you have nothing better to do?ill fucking relax when i want to. everyones telling everyone what to do these days i guess. whatever
Lol maybe you think you have a heavy hand? 9's would even last a day for me. Shit I've gone through 2 sets of 11's in a week multiple times. I'm being totally serious. Some of us guitarist that didn't take lessons play like neanderthals. I'm jealous though of the bends achieved on lighter gauge strings :)

I think that also is what makes a lot of it unique
Did they film this during an earthquake?
lol
'Oh yeah, Deantoni has a hell of a meter...'
Understatement of the century.
Micheal J. Fox camera work.
Probably the best rig rundown ive seen. i like they got into the settings and all
Excellent video, thank you! Omar has such a unique outlook on his playing and it really shows in his rig.
"Here we have Omar's pedal board." *touches it* *EXPLODES!*
Zero expensive pedals and other bullshit, just pure talent.
I have a heavy hand, but I still use 9's. The psychedelic bending that can be done on thin strings is fun.

Did you wind up buying it? How is it? I'm considering getting one, as well.
I have never been able to find where I could buy a standard 13 gauge set of guitar strings..
It's Cedric. He had his hair cut for a while.
What bass player did he design the omr-1 after?
That's in SF! Any
is that the fillmore?
