  • As many railfans across the country know by now, CSX's Cartersville Subdivision has hosted several unique locomotives over the last few months. This video contains the unofficial Chessie heritage unit, CSXT #6914, shot during an event back in August 2023. Engineer Jackson put on a great show for us railfans on this date, so our thanks go out to him for one heck of a chase! The unit remains in this unique paint scheme as of this video's posting, despite the thought that CSX would send it in for repainting immediately. Additionally, you will find a brief showing of CSXT #4419, one of only a couple YN2 painted GP series locomotives remaining in active duty. The chase of this unit did not go as planned, so only a couple shots were managed. Like 6914, 4419 is still in YN2 paint as of this video's posting.
If you enjoy what you see, please leave a like, comment, and be sure to subscribe for more railroad content. As always, thank you for tuning in!

Worried about the loss of corporate image I would have to assume. It's also somewhat of a dig at their actual heritage units where the cab is still CSX. Originally, each unit was supposed to be painted in full heritage scheme, but upper management made a last minute change to the original artists' design...
