Phoenix House, located in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, is an architectural masterpiece designed by Sebastian Mariscal. The homeowners, who lost their previous house to wildfires, sought a minimalist and warm residence that complements their contemporary art collection. Mariscal designed the house with inverted floor plans to capture ocean views, connecting distinct volumes through stairways and bridges, and creating open spaces like decks and patios.
