  • It’s been a while! I decided this video was too good not to post! Yes I realise that the treble wheel is only half stained, but this video has been taken during painting and brightening up of the bells! Hope you all enjoy this video, and if I find any good videos to post, you may hear more from me :).
These are a lovely 1908 Taylor 8, donated by Elizabeth Caroline Brown, of Ormesby House, after she Died. She paid £3000 for the tower to be erected and a ring of bells to be put in. The bells are hung on two frames, 2,4,6,8 in ‘H’ Frames on the bottom, and 1,3,5,7 on the top in ‘A’ frames. The bells are currently under a lot maintenance. Before 2022, the bells were neglected and the belfry became filled with dust, and pigeon poop! Since November 2022, the tower has been cleaned out and we are in the middle of putting a new coat of paint on, staining the wheels and before long polishing the bells. Giving them the love that they deserve!!
