Damn good video and it debunked all the guys on forums. They were scaring people away from doing it themselves saying they need special tools and have to be o so very careful and precise and they shouldn't attempt it . Good job and thanks.
You know my 555 needs a pump rebuild but I just chickened out and I am going to look for someone to do it for me I have very bad tremors but my point is good for you that you are doing it yourself I tip my hat to you your a good man keep that old iron running and carry on Canada!
Hi To align the circlip with the letter on the pump you need an injector tester and connect to No 1 outlet on the pump. Rotate the pump with no more than 20 bar pressure and you get to the point the pump will lock, start of injection then align the marks. well done good job to adjust the pump piston stroke you can reverse the pressure with any injector outlet pump to about 10 bar and measure the roller distance on the pump head.
I am sure you figured it out by now but the little black thing is a protective cover for the throttle stop screw also when you put the top cover back make sure you get the little slide lined up with the little tab on the shut off cam the first time I pulled one apart I didn’t get that lined up and it was stuck open and the tractor would not shut down and it was a pain in the ass to get it shut down and pinpoint the problem but you have probably figured th
I got the same pump I tore all apart cleaned it the one piston was stuck I got it freed up cleaned all up put together but it won't pump fuel at all threw the linen I bled the pump and the fuel filter cranked cranked and cranked it can't get fuel moving threw the lines to the injectors any ideas?
Good video, I have my pump apart, is there a thrust washer between the front housing and the shaft of counter weighs, I feel mine is missing, ut wasn’t there when I pulled pump apart.
Great job on the video! I have one question. The kit I received had one 1/8” ball bearing in it. I would have thought it was for another pump that needed it but I found one in my old pump when I drained the diesel out of the housing. I believe it went on the side cover for a valve to let diesel escape back into the tank. My side cover did not have that valve in it. I notice yours did. Do you know if they supply that ball bearing to repair that valve on the side cover? I did not see a spring or a seal that would fit inside the hole in the side cover. Thanks, Loyd
