Thanks, been looking for a good penlight. I'm a nurse, there are many crappy pen lights that either blind people or don't allow you to replace the batteries. I like the different modes as well. I can't tell you how many times I'm looking under a bed for a remote or something in the dark. This looks perfect

Just missing two important things: can it be submerged into alcohol (disinfection)? Does it have RG0 certification?
Both the Nitecore MT06MD and the Nextorch Dr. K3 have been specially designed for medical use, including that very low retina-safe blue light emission and resistance to alcohol. Aside, they use AAAs and have CRI > 90.
Dr. K3 is a purebred diagnostic lamp with only a single 4+ lumens mode, so even if not thightly screwed together(bad contact, but contact...), it cannot accidentally switch to high or strobe. So for nursing, EMT, more general use, the Nitecore is more useful, offering 45 and 180 lumens (but no blinking modes).

Engineer officer in merchant navy and this light is rugged for hard use and small enough to fit in boiler suit pen pocket
However DO NOT remove tailcap/ clip, its keyed and a bugger to fit back together.

Good review Eugene, on Amazon they have this model with CW( cold white) brighter and NW(neutral white) more yellow. Which one would be better for medical purposes? Thanks.
