- I'm playing some Polygon again! Wanted to check out how this low poly fps game is doing, and if it's worth your time in 2023! The game was released in 2020, and has mostly positive reviews on Steam. I'm also making some comparisons between Polygon and Battlebit Remastered, since they're in the same genre of game and aesthetics. What do you think about Polygon?

In this video I'm checking out if the low poly fps game called Polygon, is worth your time in 2023!
POLYGON is a tactical multiplayer team 1st person shooter.
Using various weapons, you will battle with up to 32 players on large-scale maps.

Team up with up to 16 players to fight in furious PvP matches.

NOTE: At 3:08 I do say that you can play 32 vs 32 in Polygon, which is not the case. It's 16 vs 16, so 32 in total. (My bad)
I really like polygon. 100% worth trying out. I wish health regen was a little faster. I want there to be another small map. The big maps are all fun too.

just started playing, it's fun, for me would be cool if they some other modes like team deathmatch or free for all on smaller maps, maps are too cluttered it's hard to see lowering graphics helps, overall it's fun and free

youd lower the graphics on this game? you need that much of an edge? wow
it's about seeing and not competitive advantage for that i kind of stopped playing, maps are too cluttered , they need to clean them a bit and make them smaller@@BarkerVancity
@@BarkerVancity Well if everyone is using the lower settings so they can see through trees, you kind of have to do as well. I just say F it as I cannot justify the ugly looking stutter on the edges of things, not sure what you'd call it.
Brilliant game. Bravo to the dev. For those wondering it is not pay to win you can get xp boost with premium but leveling up without it is not very grindy either super fun and casual game

If you can cut out needed time to scale by making in game purchases it’s pay to win. The chests boost power and defense its pay to win.
Well i'm stuck with basic weapons, can't get sniper till you spend more time playing it though.
I like the content! Very helpful as a new player in this genre ( low poly fps games )

having quite fun, for a game that is all simple and bright, it really hard to see or tell which one is friend or foe.
Sounds nice that you're enjoying Polygon! Yeah, it can sometimes be hard to see the difference between a friend and a foe. Gotta keep that gun ready..! :)
@@40splishsplash the only downside is that not only i have to improvise my aim and more defensive due to high ping servers, im generally terrible using weapon with iron sight
everytime i play i get put in lobbys and im trapped in a spawn camp
...That can indeed happen in this game if the teams are equally balanced.
Just downloaded it today, lost track of time and gamed for 3 hours straight 😅 Lots of fun when the server fills up 👍🏻

This game is the only game I keep going back to from my free to play list. In my honest opinion this game blows every free to play FPS shooter on the market out of the water.

Sometimes enemy in scope and i shoot multiple rounds. But no effect at all… and i think they need to fix box collider around objects !! But overall its a fun game

Fun lil game but a lot maps feel like they were built to go prone on and I don’t think there’s a way to do it
I know what you mean...No, probe is not an option, as far as I know.
Only one developer makes a masterpiece. If there are some modes to play it will more fun to plat.

map design in this game are really really bad,it's basiclly a big Plain with so many Eye Pain trinkets,people start shooting each other miles away,no big construction block ,no upper and down level design, that's why I quit playing
Thanks for your feedback! Yeah, some variation would be appreciated, when it comes to map design. I was hoping that they also would have added some more maps since the last time I played it.
Just started playing Polygon. Does "spread" also apply to the ads accuracy or only while shooting from the hip?
Good question! I believe it is only from the hip, but I can be wrong, so don't quote me on that one.
@@40splishsplash After some testing (yes, I spent The first few minutes of the match shooting distant objects and tracing the bullets) I am fairly certain, that there is no spread when ADSing to begin with, at least none that would be impactful while playing.
So I guess you're right, it only applies to hipfire.
The game is super fun by the way.
I got this game and I have a pretty crappy pc but it runs so well on high graphics!

I have rx 6800 , i9 , 32Gb ram why my frame rate are 40/50/60fps max ?? other games , no problem... please help me for fix that
Sorry to hear that! What quality settings are you running? Sometimes you need to turn down more or less to low and then work your way up, checking what might affect the actual performance/fps.
@@40splishsplash in orher game i give max sitting 120fps ( battlefield 2042 , escape from tarkov , call of duty and more fps ) and in polygone my fps turn tout 40fps max on max or low sitting 1440p or 720p . What’s this problèm ?
I wish the anticheat was better... I swear there are too many ESP users and aimbot users. I'll probally try it again though, see if they stopped.
Yes, there's always (unfortunately) a certain amount of cheaters in the game. Seems to be biggest issue nowadays when it comes to online shooters, especially free to play games.
Is the mobile version the same as steam with crossplay?
I don't think so. I believe the cross play feature is between PC and Xbox One.
What are your video settings? Looks neat!

When I play it I can play one round and then it crashes when I want to play a second. What could be the problem?
Hard to say. Do you get any error message, like a code message or something when it happens?
@@40splishsplashthere is a window where I can write a message like what I was doing when it crashed and under that there is like some sort of code idk

I preffered Polygon when it had more simplistic soldier models. Now it's nothing special.

would you say its better than battlebit cause my problem with battlebit is its very slow paced, unlocking guns is slow n stuff and grinding for so long just for a kinda less crap gun is annoying, also leveling up n stuff as well
I believe it depends on what style of games you prefer. Polygon isn't as "in depth" as Battlebit is. If I remember it correctly, not so tedious either when it comes to the grind, compared to Battlebit. If I would simplify and explain I'd said that Polygon is more towards Call of Duty, since it also has smaller maps (most of them), compared to Battlebit. So Battlebit is more towards Battlefield, but with a bit of a tactical shooter approach.

I like this Call of duty inspirated game and its new, havent played it a lot because i question, what is there to play for in this game? Is it the wins/ranks or is it just skins? what sepperate this game from cod in general, except activition got a big ton of money in their budget to improve the games.
This is a pretty straight forward shooter. With that said, it follows a quite familiar path when it comes to ranks, XP and unlocking new weapons. There's a battle pass available (I believe), that consists of 30 levels, and you can unlock Battle Pass levels for any XP gained in battle. For opening levels, you will receive rewards: VIP status days, Credits and Crowns, soldier XP, as well as unique skins for weapons that cannot be purchased in the store for three months after the end of the Battle Pass season. There's more to it when it comes to battle pass; Premium, VIP status etc. But I hope that somewhat answered your question :)

Is this a good game for a beginner?
If you're ok with the polygon graphics, I would say yes. Remember though that there will be some guys that have played the game for quite some time and therefore also become good at the game and levelled up their gear, but that's the case with most similar games in the genre, so give it a try :) You might even find some tutorials about the actual game on RUclips when it comes to weapons and class set up :)

Played for 20hrs it just gets boring after that ,guns are just locked and can't even use them ,for most of the time m16a has to be used . Never playing it again.
Ok, thanks for your feedback! Yeah, locked guns that might even take quite some time to unlock (if possible),can be a turn off for sure.

Yeah...But I've both played and followed WW3 through the years, and there's many reasons why they failed when it comes to making sufficient improvements in the game (WW3).
@@40splishsplash there a thing i really like about lvl up system in polygon, saving money and grind until you reach the lvl that unlock the gun you want and buy it, it will give you purpose to play the game

You don't need a redeem code in order to play Polygon. But I guess you meant something else?
Pay to win game. You can actually do more damage and take more bullets to die if you pump money into the game.
Sorry to hear that. It's never good when devs walk down that path regarding the monetization system in a game.
@@40splishsplashyea its a shame because the game looks and feels great. They should add a completely balanced ranked system where guns armor and levels are set the same for everyone that way they can make money while drawing in more players
@@kevingood8570 Yes, it's always a mistake when real money can give you advantages in a game in anyway, even though it sometimes "only" makes it possible to unlock certain weapons or gadgets faster. I've seen other older f2p fps titles that have been suffering from similar monetization systems, Warface is one example.
there are a lot of cheater and i know when i see one those aim bots trash players
It's unfortunate. Online Pvp gaming isn't in a very good state at the moment. Goes for many games out there.
