    Also something to note around my videos working on my car: I’m just a keen petrolhead, NOT a trained mechanic. I like to make interesting car mods and show you how I've gone about it, but I can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because it may look easy on RUclips. Talk to a qualified mechanic if you are in any doubt.

    Right, who disliked this video. They obviously want to see some rich youtuber in a really expensive car but this channel isn't about that so I suggest they go elsewhere.

    Stand your cans in a bucket hot water , and heat bits to be painted before and after putting painting on dries much faster, heat from hairdryer will not set paint on fire , job done in half an hour .

      @steven-vn9ui 5 лет назад +1

      Agreed. Also you're holding the can too close to the job. about 12 inch will be better buddy. Thanks for the video

      Second that! Especially for the clear coat!

  • @terryatkinson899
    @terryatkinson899 5 лет назад +1

    So you just painted over the bits that bubbled up without sanding them back?
    I use a heat gun to warm the parts up in this weather and again when they are tacky to speed things up between coats.

      They were cleaned before the filler coats and rest assured, are smooth as a baby's backside 😉

    5°C is extremely, extremely cold? My guy that's tshirt weather! Here in my little peice of Canada temperatures 35°C and up are common in the summer time. I'll agree that 5°C is bloody cold in July.
    Winter is a little less friendly... -35°C is what you should expect as the usual cold snap (lasts a few days er weeks and reoccurs just as often). That's before wind chill.
    Our house is in the prairies, perhaps 10km east of the Rockies. There are a few interactions between the atmosphere, lithosphere, and hydrospherr that in short cause a little wind. As in we had Category 2 hurricane force winds, 160km/h, a month back. Hell back in 2013 we had a shed that literally exploded from the wind. Pushed in the door and built up the pressure. Poor thing got lifted 15 feet and scattered across ten times that.
    In winter 5°C without wind is topless weather. At least when its compared to my December walk to work. 4am, -42°C... -67°C WITH WIND CHILL 😂😂😂😂😂😂
    I'm just yankin your chain, come to the great white north sometime bud! I'll show ya our parliament igloo eh, well we're out got a rip bud!

    Any plans to do a follow up video to see if the sound deadening did its job?

    • @MillerCorner
      @MillerCorner  5 лет назад

      Nothing specific planned - didn't measure sound before and after unfortunately :/

    I don't think this would look too good in mine... i have the SX blue interior. Hahahaha. I will have to try it on a old piece of acrylic number plate. good "mod", carrying your look/style across the car.

    it would make sense to paint the door trims in the same way and satin black as the gauge clusters. it sure looks better than the faded and blotched red paint and faded plastic on my Seicento Young 😅

    i think you can make the interior roof black (srry for the english,im italian :) )

  • @OdykKayne
    @OdykKayne 5 лет назад +1

    Very nice! And here I thought you were going to go with a vibrant yellow for your clusters at first, which I think would've been a bit....much?
    Black works well as it matches some of your other painted components (as you say) and it still meshes well with the gray plastics that are still on the inside of the car. Kudos for including your mistake on the painting as well - honesty and a lesson learned for you and all of us! :)
    Looking forward to the next episode and to see what you've got planned! :D

      Yellow crossed my mind but having seen it in person, it's a bit...Bold, shall we say? 😅 maximum grey deletion coming soon, including next week 😉

      Oh, wow - that's going to be a lot of work if you're painting the rest of the interior parts as well @@MillerCorner ! Good luck! :D
