Costello was going to battle with everyone? He was a defense witness who wasn't able to answer questions. The transcripts clearly show the defense wasn't able to ask a question without an objection, and that was sustained by a biased judge.

@@billydoyle9984 Actually, there are only very rare circumstances in which you must answer only yes or no, and the attorneys must request the judge to instruct you to do so. It is not like on TV. Neither the prosecution nor the defense can instruct you at all on how to answer. They can object to all or some of your answer on legal grounds, and the judge will rule on the objection. But only the judge can instruct you to answer only yes or no before the fact. And even he has to have legal grounds to do so (Hostile witness etc.) If the judge so instructs you arbitrarily it is grounds for appeal, and possibly a mistrial. Just curious. What did the judge say in response to your comment? I would hope he told you something like I just told you.

The coward couldn’t even take the stand. He merely projects strength, inside he is a weak man.
I think that weakness is the trait that Dump and all of his supporters share. Whatever the objective reality, they feel inadequate, cheated, like victims, afraid, isolated and angry. I think it all comes from feeling weak and like you didn't get what you deserved.

The only way for the judge (who should have recused himself) to salvage his reputation would be to dismiss this farce. Obviously, the jury should have continued deliberating this week until this mess was over.
And on what grounds should he have refused himself?
Dump's lawyers have motioned for dismissal/recusal about a half dozen times, even gone to appellate court on that, and LOST. Just like the 2020 election....Do you see a pattern yet?

Why is a state judge doing a federal case ?
After calling Abbot and Costello as a witness (or to to act like an infant instead of Trump), the defence seems to be non-existent.
Perhaps there is a plan here by delaying 8 days. They come back, and the question is asked "Jurors, over the long holiday weekend and the days before and after, did you discuss the case with ANYONE? If a few on the jury did, the judge declares a mistrial. That prevents an immediate appeal for this travesty, and it takes away the ability for anyone to say the fix was in. With no verdict, there is no harm or foul. Of course, NY could re-file and start this ALL OVER AGAIN, further delaying Trump.
