- Big problem with cable management when using "Selfie Mode" forget about using a microphone if you buy this Gimbal.
"Selfie Mode" rotates 360º around the gimbal which causes the microphone cable to wrap around and end up damaging your mobile device or microphone.
I have contacted technical support and the response has been that they do not understand the problem and that "Selfie Mode" is not a frequently used function
You can see Hohem's answers in my facebook post on his official page for this model:

Yea they fixed it, I had the same issue but the new firmware update fixed it.
I think they actually fixed this with a firmware update. Just got mine 2 days ago and it always turns back the same way so it won’t mess with the cable.
Will check, thanks.
@@MiPerroMolawas it fixed?
Buy a wireless mic. Problem solved
Just got mine and dealing with same issue. Guess I'll buy a wireless mic
its fixed with the new update. Turns back the same way!
Instead of multiple 3x taps, after the 1st mode switch, use the reset button and should rotate "in reverse", but as others mentioned, the firmware update repaired this "bug"
I just got the hohem wireless microphone, works great even with the added weight of the freewell anamorphic lens
Double tap the power button for sleep mode, the make adjustments.
Why you're don't put mic on the top gimbel? You can put the mic close to the Ai sensor.
I need the microphone always pointing towards me, if I mount the microphone the way you say, the microphone will rotate along with the phone and point in the opposite direction.
Wireless mic anyone?😂
Check the DJI Mic.
Maybe they'll come out with an update to fix this.
They now have the m1 mic set that will help you out more.
So if I want to use a mic I should use a wireless one.
Besides from the mic issues what if any other issues have you came across? I’m tempted to buy this gimbal as it’s rated higher then the dji.
A new firmware update it's supposed to fix the problem, but in some cases it keeps doing 360... Anyway finally I have wireless mic so everything is working good now.
Why does it write Overheat and blink? How to remove bought a new one I can not understand
Can anyone let me know what Microphone that is?
How can you turn the beep noise off
No such problem in mine. If it's possible try to mount microphone on top frame. Unless You need to be dirrected all the time on You, then I suggest some wireless solution. Umm... Could You perform Inception mode?
You have to tap 4 times first and arm will move away, then triple tap.
Mount the microphone to the gimbal arm. Not the handle ?
That would interfere with the movement of the Gimbal, besides that is not the solution to the problem.
This is a simple software problem, you just have to program the gimbal so that when you get out of "selfie mode" it returns to its own steps instead of doing a 360.
Actually the problem has a very simple solution (firmware update), but Hohem it's unable to see the problem even though I have explained it to them.
@@MiPerroMola I see. I was looking at this gimbal myself between this and the new smooth 5s. I guess the smooth sounds like the more promising
Yes you are right. in the arm, there are some space for the microphone. There are also the 1/4 screw hole. It will help.
@@MiPerroMola Hey, it will not interfere the gimbal movement. No worries. You can have a try. It is not a problem. The arm has enough space for the mic.)
@@HohemTechOfficial Finally I ended up using a wireless microphone, but I think you should consider that many users prefer the sound quality of a good RODE microphone (wired microphone) and modify the triple tap so that it does not rotate 360 degrees and thus avoid problems with the wire.
Low latency bluetooth shotgun mics would be cool.
Exactly my concern - which wireless mic did you get and how is it now?
I'm using the "Hollyland LARK M1 SOLO" attached with velcro, almost no weight added to the Gimbal and sound quality good for the price.
@@MiPerroMola thank you!
@@MiPerroMolastill we will have to connect it to gimbal. Might be before rotating we should un plug and reconnect.
May I know which country of origin is this gimbal?
@@roninr8199I bought mine in Spain, but I think is from China like everything else this days.
@@MiPerroMola could you please make a video how did you attach hollyland to phone with gimbal.
Oh oooh
There’s another place to put the mic right next to the phone on the same arm the phone is on
Se enreda el cable, con el gimball
People normally use flash light instead of microphone... Try to use de mic in the top
Using a dji microphone?
Actually a Hollyland Lark M1
just dont spin it
Funny guy 😂
Dude, buy a shock mount for the phone that you can add your mic into. Rebalance the gimbal with the mic added. Problem solved.
I need the microphone always pointing towards me, if I mount the microphone the way you say, the microphone will rotate along with the phone and point in the opposite direction.
@@MiPerroMola you can rotate the mic on the mount
@@MiPerroMola you can also buy a usbc or lightning mic that plugs into the phone. I have the Saramonic usbc mic and it works great. Its a condenser mic. You just have to rebalance it before using it on the gimbal.
Is no big deal lol just dont do this 10 times or just unplug it😅
Does it over heat
Ehhh
wireless mic bruh.. its 2024
