GUBA foundation World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Yesterday marked World Menstrual Hygiene Day. We @gubafoundation visited two schools in Accra and donated free sanitary products to young schoolgirls. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of good menstrual hygiene and the barriers to accessing period products. Let’s break the stigma around menstruation and provide women and girls with all the opportunities they need to succeed. During our visit, we also taught them about the reproductive system, including that girls can get pregnant when they have their periods, and stressed the importance of mothers educating their children about menstruation.
