- some secrets, like (i believe) 2 in john gutter, have eye markings to indicate their location!

Boss ranks are based on how many hits you took. As you know, P rank for bosses are no hits. And 2 hits are S rank, so on.
In John gutter one is marked on walls while one is marked on the ceiling and floor
I recently S ranked so it’s a very easy pattern to follow once you do
ranks are determined by how much damage you took actually

Welcome to Pizza Tower, Dawko! It's a great game and I really hope you'll enjoy it. Here's a few tips, if you want them!
- Peppino automatically defeats enemies when running at Mach 2. (You can tell when he changes from Mach 1 to Mach 2 when his animation and sound effects change.) Most enemies even put down their weapons in fear if you approach them at Mach 2, so you can even run straight through the forknights! So there's no need to stop and grab them if you're already running fast!
- Each level has 3 secrets, represented by the eyeball portals. They're usually hidden behind breakable walls, John blocks, or otherwise tricky locations! Sometimes they're marked with eyeball symbols, so keep a look for that!
- There's 1 treasure in each level, requiring Gerome (the key guy) to access! Find them all to get the true ending!
- After beating a level once, the Lap 2 portal will appear in this level. By going through this portal during Pizza Time, you have to complete your escape again, starting from the John Block, but it turn gain a huge sum of points! It's handy for my next point:
- Aside from the standard D through A ranks, there's two special Ranks, S and P. To get S rank, you need to get a huge sum of points! (usually through collecting secrets and completing lap 2) To get the highest rank, P, you must collect all 3 secrets, the treasure, and complete lap 2, all while keeping a combo going through the entire level and never dropping it. I would not recommend going for P ranks until you've beaten the game at least once, as they require near mastery of Peppino's movesets as well as complete memorization of the level.
Another tip, I like setting the movements for keyboard settings to WASD.
Attack / Grab to J,
Jump to K.
And gonna try out using taunt / counter with L.
(The game tells you itself that the taunt when used before getting hit can counter attacks and projectiles.)
Feels way better than using direction arrows and the normal layout to me.
Some advanced movements are also needed for better ranks.
Keep an eye out for helpful advice in game for all these movements!

Interesting... apparently you can unlock the Pizza Portals if you beat the tutorial in less than 1 minute and 45 seconds!

I can just imagine him typing the title in euphoria, with tears of joy in his eyes as he types "PIZZA TOWER!!!", then getting up and screaming "YES!!! PIZZA TOWER!!!"

Please continue with the series, there is something that i´m sure that you will love to see...
You might see some seemingly useless rooms in some levels of your first try, if you beat a level a 2nd lap portal appears for future attempts at the level, it basically teleports you back to the end to do another run back to the beginning, this allows to get S ranks and P ranks, it would be fun to see you eventually try some!
I really want to see Dawko play this more. His personality makes this video so fun to watch!
You definitely should keep going, floor 5 has quite a few surprises in store
Advice for boss fights: it's better to not run all the time so you can control Peppino better

It's so nice to see you play this game, Dawko! For some context: you play as Peppino Spaghetti, the owner of his own pizzeria, desperately trying to save it after Pizzaface, the main bad guy, threatened to use a big laser gun on his tower do destroy Peppino's pizzeria! With the help of Gustavo (the short chef that's Peppino's friend) and Mr. Stick (a con man that rents the boss doors), you go through these levels, finding Toppin's to make some quick bank, to beat the floors' bosses to try and reach Pizzaface and stop his plans! Also, the pink guy you find to open the door is indeed a janitor! His name is Gerome.
Really fun game! Would love to see more of it!

Okay dawko so great and happy that you are playing this amazing game!!! I have only 7 things to say some are tips
1. You can parry
2. At the entrance of each elevator is a sign that tells you which levels on the floor that you played
3. There are 4 levels and 1 boss on each floor
4. The floor 3 boss is planned to be added back in as a playable character in the future
5. Have fun on your fist playthrough go at your own pace dont worry about the P Ranks
6. Watch the into it seems that you skipped it
7. If you see any empty rooms / spots in a level that is the lap 2 room replay a level and you can go for a lap 2 during the escape sequence
I am so glad you are trying out this wonderful game! I hope you do a series of this!

I'm glad people are enjoying Pizza Tower, I remember playing pizza tower in it's demo and I enjoyed so much.

It's a really cool platformer with incredible music, interesting mechanics and cool visuals. A series would be really appreciated :)
Btw secret areas are sometimes indicated by eyes inside walls, you should look out for them. Also, running into enemies with high speed is always a good idea since they get scared of you and don't deal damage. Using a grab during sprint just slows you down. It's also worth mentioning that you can taunt. This ability also doubles as a parry!

Not gonna lie, each time I finish a level, I always imitate the same pose that Peppino does. Partly feel like I took that from Ryan's/Dawko's videos where they've done something similar in other games. Loved the video, Dawko, can't wait for the next one!

It's nice seeing you play pizza tower Dawko!
I'm gonna leave you some notes that may come in handy in future levels
- using taunt right before getting damaged allows you to parry the attack and don't get hit
- at mach 2 (when the running sfx starts playing) enemies will become scared and allows you to kill them easily even with just running through them!
- Gerome aka the tower's janitor will be hidden in every level with a door hiding a secret treasure
- like Gerome, each level has 3 secret eyes that are secret area meant to give extra points, they are usually hidden behind a breakable wall and also are marked by an eye, you can see in the hub world how many secret you have found
- never run during a boss fight, it will only complicate the things for you
- apart of A ranks, you can get S ranks by having enough points (usually done by getting all of the toppings, secrets, secret topping and doing lap 2). A P rank is much harder and recommended doing after beating the game, the process for a P rank is the same, you just have to keep your combo going for the full run
- lap 2 is accessible after beating a level, you'll have to do the whole escape sequence again before time runs out. The lap 2 portals are near the start of the level marked by a pizza
- during pizza time, when the time runs out, pizza face aka our kinda second antagonist will spawn. You need to get out of there FAST, if pizza face gets you, you will have to restart the whole level

Hey Dawko ! I thought Pizza Tower was just a joke game, so I never watched anybody play it until today.
Turns out I was missing the hell out ! This game is so unique and filled with love and passion, it would be really cool if you played through the whole game, as it definitely deserves some attention !
You should definitely keep playing this! It gets more creepy and intense later on and it’s awesome!

IMPORTANT TIP FOR DAWKO!: u can technically double jump as peppino if u press attack while jumping in the air like UP ATTACK its a helpful mini double jump if u wanna take things slow and steady got me through a lot of tough pickles with that technique as a new player

The fact that Dawko beats Pepperman in his 2nd-3rd try, shows that he's gonna Speed through the bosses
Also him calling the Pineapple toppin' a carrot is him coping with the fact the game says Pineapple on Pizza is viable(WHICH IT IS)

I'm so excited to see Dawko's reaction when he reaches a certain level in the game that references a certain game. And also I'm really happy he's playing this game because it's so unexpectedly good.
That intro was great. Very Italian.
A few movement tips, you can do a double jump with the uppercut move, you can grab dash then press down to go through small gaps quicker, you can cancel a super jump with the grab button and continue your sprint, the taunt button also doubles as a parry move, and be sure to let off the run button when you need more precise control

The best rank is a P
(Im pretty sure) The blocks with eyes switch to transparent when it's pizza time and vice versa, so you have to do a new path back.
This game is so good, Dawko def needs to make this a series. Would love to see how much fun he has later on in the game. There might even be a few parts that specifically appeal to him! No spoilers!
Pro tip, if you're going at mach speed, no enemies can harm you! You'll just barrel straight through 'em!

Welcome to pizza tower! Id love to see you continue playing this amazing game, here’s abit of you your mechanical skill of keeping up with you speed will grow with time so theres no need for that, but try to look for odd or marks for secret room (the marks are usual eyes) since they will help you a lot in your score and are one of the components of getting the sacred rank, I hope you will enjoy :D
I’d love to see another episode on this, its so great seeing all my fav youtubers play this game. It’s absolutely fantastic and worth playing till the end
Btw, little tip, your taunt button is also a parry. For annoying enemies who hurt you like the fork knights, you can parry them back and even kill them, this goes for bosses too, allowing you to go through the bosses with ease when you master the parry. Parrying will be quite useful later on so its best to really know how to utilize it if you want those better ranks
Another another tip, there were some secrets you missed in John Gutter, its best to look for eyes painting on the floor or low hanging ceilings. Theres also one secret you can only find when in Pizza Time, look for a cracked wall to the right

If you manage to collect all the secret ingredients he allows you to acces you will get a diffrent ending
Also in the third world there will be a green monster in the hub, his name is snotty, try not to kill him.

tip for not running up walls and making it through tight areas: hold down when you know you’re about to run off a ledge if you need to touch the ground as soon as possible; this will make you dive!
and be sure to see what the lip faced pizza has to say in different places around the tower. it can give some good advice and tips

Pro Tip : When you're at the exit and still have some time left. Spam the taunt button to get bonus points and flex on your enemies. Also, the taunt can act as a parry if timed correctly. Nullifies any damage you get if you time it well. P.S. hold down the taunt button to see a secret. A little advice though, when you break, don't do it bad.

You can also use your grab to destroy blocks, do fast slides, and start wallruns, don't underestimate its utility. It's how you're meant to break through blocks when there's no room to gain momentum.
